Yes, “unsolicited” ballots in a so-called mass mailing can be held back later on for fraudulent use. Less than half of eligible voters will bother to vote in any given election. So you can have a large cache of ballots stolen from such people, with none the wiser.
Watermarks are the only legal ballots issued only to registered voters and would be the only ones counted in a recount or they could be removed in a canvassing

What you see is what occurs when a ballot has marks that will prevent scanning, but don’t invalidate them. At least 2 people, one from each party, look at the ballot and agree with what the voter was trying to do. They then fill out a new ballot with the same votes.
Sounds reasonable. I don’t see her referencing another ballot tho (the one that couldn’t be scanned) as she fills out the new ballots. Nor another person verifying. Explain?

This is one reason why voters are asked to include a phone number on the envelope. Here in Washington, those ballots would have been put aside and attempts made to contact each voter. How do I know this? Because I took the training as an elections observer. Good try, though.

That’s the way it is supposed to work, but there is no way to verify, if in fact one of those people is indeed a Republican.

I agree Trish. As always we turn into enablers. Each individual is responsible for (A) voting, (Meaning get yourself to the polls on election day, or absentee ballots for very limited reasons.).
B, following simple instructions. ( Wrong instructions like the sharpie debacle in Arizona are another matter.). If you blow it, you are responsible.
The goal of elections is an honest election, therefore federal standards for federal elections, possibly tied to Block chain programing, must become the law. Zero exceptions, tabulation is real time, voter verification is made simple. All voter roles are cross-checked against deaths, moves, any possible duplicates, disqualifying felonies, and each legally qualified individual get one vote they can verify happened.
This whole process has become a fraud filled circus.

This is called ballot duplication. When a ballot is damaged or difficult to read, the intent of the voter is preserved on a fresh ballot.
As posted above – there is a reason why we’re asked to include phone numbers on the ballot envelopes. ANY question as to intent, signature validation, whatever, and calls are made to the voter. At least, that’s how it’s done in Washington. The ballots with questions are set aside until those questions can be answered by the voter.

Once it is determined that a ballot must be duplicated,a blank ballot is re-marked and verified by both election clerks before it is processed.Once the ballot has been duplicated the original ballot is voided and the new ballot is marked as a DUPLICATE and submitted for tabulation.

Excellent comment. I add that it would not hrt to actually treat some of this as crime taking place and make arrests of those being seen committing fraud with actual ballots. Maybe even sending in National Guard to precincts and counting centers taken over by, literally, by radicals outside the established election process. I recommend that you go to the CISA web site. The reality vs. rumors part of the site is interesting. They lay out what in theory states do to guard against invalid mail in ballots. Then it’s up to states to actually do what is stated. But its all clearly stated, and is I think “law”.

If however there were sites in active efforts to download the videos, vet them, and then post them independent of social media or news aggregation sites subject to the same censorship, it could be massively helpful. I like the idea of a do over, monitored or even carried out by the National Guard. Our military ran elections in foreign countries, they can handle it.
However, so I’ve heard there is no way to do that here due to the constitution and laws, our textualist – originalist SCOTUS justices would not go for that. The Presidential election is the first Tuesday in November, not December. The states have a date by which their electors must be certified. There is a specific date the electors go to congress. All of that is laid out and there is no time to get before the court even if they would rule for another election.
In the case of the senate races or house seats where there is obvious fraud the courts may well rule for another election as they did in 2018 in NC.

Can you get to Atlanta or Savanah? I saw a comment on here on the first page about gathering times and places. I’m in Florida, but I can get to Savanah in an hour and a half. It is a great story so far. But how will you end it? Will your readers really believe all the tales you have spun? As a novelist, you always strive for realism, and at minimum, try to keep the story elements plausible.
Now, you grasp the meaning of the old saying: “Truth is stranger than fiction.”

I want to see an intelligent analysis differentiating lawful exploitation of the election process and fraud. We can’t just say we lost because of fraud if it turns out the much of the loss can be attributed to lawful maneuvering. Battle can be waged on both fronts. But we need to be clear on the parameters of the loss. There is certainly a population that is large enough to win on the next go around.
Let’s be clear – the issue is not primarily voter fraud (know you didn’t say it was). It is election fraud committed by democratic officials that concern me. And the first piece is changing the laws (untested) just prior to election around mail in voting and not having the security in place to make it viable. It’s ripe for fraud and this is a needed battle – because states didn’t change election laws, the Democrat Governors (like in Michigan) did it through executive order. Then it is more simple, but we need armies of lawyers and investigators as well as statisticians. 89% turnout in Wisconsin not statistically likely, drill further into counties that were even higher and no way it is not circumstantial evidence of fraud. Not smoking gun but enough to call into question the integrity of the results. Lawyers know you target the easier areas first – areas with 100% turnout, or situations where large blocks of votes went only in one direction. Then you file for discovery of all the chain of documents, and you compare it to current passed election laws in the state and add up the deviations. Put it in front of the court and get enough of a case to call the integrity of the result into question. This is what is needed to have a legal basis to hold up the election results in the courts.
