I’d say an election night win is highly unlikely. They have, so far, have 3 states that will probably won’t be decided by election night, NC, PA, and Wisconsin, because of the extended voting times for mail in. I don’t think Trump can go past 278 without at least one and possibly two of these states.
Only mail-ins in NC are absentee ballots. Each is attached to a specific registered voter and has a number on it. Absentees AND early voting are tabulated as they occur.. So on election day each person puts their paper ballot in the machine. At the end of the day the state will know EXACTLY how many absentee ballots are still out.
If the margin of win on election day EXCEEDS the # of outstanding absentee ballots, it won’t matter how long it takes them to come IN.
And as I understand Kavanaugh’s ruling, he left the door open to receive challenges afterward—-when, of course ACB will be involved.

Heck SCOTUS has given MULTIPLE decisions at variance with one another. The EASY thing to do would be to go to Article I of the US Constitution where it explicitly gives STATE legislatures the power to set the rules for FEDERAL elections. No court mentions at all. Since WHEN does statutory law hold supremacy over the US Constitution?

The Trafalgar Group has what seems to be potentially-reliable polling. They published a poll for Minnesota on October 28th. The poll has Biden ahead of Trump, but only by 45.9% to 43.7%. The difference is small enough to be within the margin of error.
Thus, the Trafalgar poll indicates that Minnesota has a nearly-even chance of being won by Trump.
Seven mayors from the Iron Range have endorsed Trump. Flipping the Iron Range’s 4 blue counties red is likely. In addition, Gary Johnson and E McMillan carried 5.9% of the State in 2016. The President needs only 2% of that vote (55,000) for the win.

It’s about turnout. Even if dems outnumber republicans, if majority of Republicans vote while dems don’t show up to vote enough there’s a chance even in blue states.
True, most elections are turnout elections. Denver metro carries an outsized impact on the rest of the state. Satellite counties north, east and south of Denver have been flirting with secession for years now. They just can’t seem to muster the votes to overcome Denver.
I go up to the mountains on weekends. If some jackwagon is screwing up the mountains, littering, treating the outdoors like their personal toilet, behaving like a jackass in the lift line, etc. They’re almost always from Denver. We’ve imported a lot of assholes in the last 25 years.

Out here in what is now known as Rocks and Cows country thanks to our Gov. we are seeing lots of Congressman Collin Peterson signs, not very many Biden signs at all. The last TV commercial I saw was some spokesman for Big Sugar saying what a good job Collin does for them. No Shiite there. He happily votes however Pelosi wants him to most of the time If the old time DFLers are asking for help the internal polls must be really bad. They have lost the Iron Range due to their pandering to the Environmentalists, most of the rest of rural MN due to their condescending “rocks and cows” statements and maybe even Olmstead County, the home of the Mayo Clinic. Peterson has been there way too long… but I know that district (lived there many moons ago) and know why he keeps getting re-elected.
