rofl, this doesn’t prove a thing about whether any “unmasking” probe continues or not…. whether such a probe (if it still exists) is serious or not…. it merely says that Sofer, a new “Acting” US Atty, will pick up whatever work/probes Bash had going… but IF (as reported) the “unmasking” probe had been completed without charges then Sofer would have nothing to do with it because it would be OVER.
Big “IF”…. we simply don’t know. But don’t try to pretend that Sofer’s appointment tells us anything at all, one way or the other. He might be working on “unmasking” or he might have nothing to do with that topic. We don’t know.

Someone made a post on a John Solomon Just the News article with an image of the document below. The poster claimed that it was on the back of a flyer being given out in Colorado.
Any Coloradans that can verify that this is actually happening. The message is more than a little disturbing.
I wouldn’t have paid much attention to it, if I hadn’t just seen a bunch of stuff the 9NEWS producer and another reporter, Denver Post photographer, the “Pinkerton security guard” shooter, the Black Guns Matter antifa agitator and others are doing and associated with. National polls don’t mean anything. Swing states are the only thing worth looking at. Biden will win the Blue States and Trump will win the Red States and the Purple states will as always swing the election.
We are doing rather well in those states.
The North Carolina State Board of Elections updates voter registration weekly and goes back to 2004 online. Here’s a comparison of the registered voters from the Democrat party, the Republican party and Unaffiliated voters. 10/8/2016 and 10/10/2020. ( I did not include the smaller parties of Green, Libertarian, or Constitution as they are quite small.)
10/8/2016: Total registered voters= 6,769, 242
Democrats: 2,689,045–39.72% of all voters
Republicans: 2,044,281–30.02% of all voters
Unaffiliated: 2,005,606–29.68% of all voters
Donald Trump won by 3.66% margin with a 68.98% turnout
10/10/2020: Total registered voters= 7,242,242- increase of 473,000
Democrats: 2,585,688–35.70% / loss of 103,357 voters
Republicans: 2,185,854–30.20% / gain of 141,573 voters
Unaffiliated: 2,417,932–33.46% / gain of 412,326 voters
Unaffiliated voters can chose to vote in either the Dem. or Rep, primary. North Carolina has always had a much higher number of registered Democrats, but in the last 16 presidential elections, since 1956, We have voted for 10 Republican presidents and 6 Democrat presidents.

I can address your question about extrapolating from a sample of just 1,000 voters. If you go to a survey size calculator, such as https://www.surveysystem.com/sscalc.htm, you will find that 1,000 people is plenty to get an accurate sample with a confidence interval of abut 3%; in other words, if you get 45%, the overall range is about 42% to 48%.
So, the sample size is not a problem; the issue is whether or not the sample is representative of the actual voting public.

This is absolutely correct, and relates to a much larger problem studying humans in general.
Participation in public opinion polls is voluntary, therefore self-selecting, therefore probably not representative. It used to be pretty good when participation rates were much higher.
Also, as lp1 pointed out, national polling is irrelevant. If 100% of California and the Northeast are pro-Biden, that is enough to tip the scales in national polling, but not enough electoral votes to win an election.
The classic map showing the little spots of blue in a sea of red is precisely why the electoral college was set up by the founding fathers — so NY, PHilly and Boston couldn’t impose their will on the rural remainder of the country.
If Trump wins all the hard core right states, plus ME-3, NC, GA, and FL, which all seem likely to go his way, he only needs any two of PA, MI, MN, WI, and AZ. PA is a huge prize. If he wins that, he will almost certainly win the election. On election night, the longer they delay calling PA, the more likely Trump wins the election.

But in the yt comments, the Canadian pro Trump commenters always largely outnumber the commenters who dislike him.

I’m not sure you should believe those polls (at least for the UK, anyway). Whilst the BBC pushes it’s usual left wing propaganda and the media are no different to the US, many people here (especially in Evangelical Christian settings) want Trump to win simply because his agenda is Pro-life not anti-life (never call them pro-choice, call them pro-death, pro-murder or anti-life).
Others, particularly those who are pro-brexit and stay well-informed, want him to win as that means a better chance of a trade deal (there’s no chance of a trade deal with Nasty Nancy).
The comments on relevant Daily Telegraph articles are a real eye-opener on how many people are aware of the MSM’s bias and agenda. The regular anti-Trump articles and opinion pieces (shame on you Daily Telegraph!) are absolutely full of pro-Trump comments with hundreds of up-votes.

I wouldn’t personally say that any UK media is all-in pro-Trump. Some is anti-Democrat.
The Times and The Sunday Times (both owned by the Murdochs) certainly aren’t pro-Trump which is unsurprising given the owners.
The Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph (owned by the Barclay Brothers (billionaire twins)) has drifted significantly away from a previous fence-sitting position in the past two years (IMO). Presumably Trump’s economic policies are anathema to the Barclays.
The Daily Express and Sunday Express (part of a PLC, Reach UK) are right-wing and therefore anti-democrat but I wouldn’t go so far as to describe it as Trump-friendly. Reach, formerly Trinity Mirror, own several national papers some of which are left wing (e.g. Daily Mirror), and own a lot of the regional/local papers. Since its ownership change in 2018, the Express definitely has a different editorial tone than before.
The Daily Mail and Sunday Mail (owned by Viscount Rothermere) are right-wing but more interested in stories that will sell papers (they have the largest circulation in the UK by some distance) and online click-bait (at which they are very successful) and don’t particularly focus on US politics per se. Wikipedia considers them an unreliable source which is probably a badge of honour.
That chart should have everyone with IQ above a bit of kibble voting for Pres Trump!
