It is essential to obtain treatment before it has time to establish itself. I think it is pretty clear that he DID just demonstrate that. Now, anyone else anywhere in the country who gets it should get the same treatment Trump just got. Any drugs not currently approved should be approved by FDA tomorrow in an emergency approval. Should probably have done so months ago. It appears the key is preventing the cytokine storm that decimates the lungs.
HCQ has been doing that for months.
Agree — it’s about the timing. We wait way too long here to give any treatment for covid. HCQ works when it’s given EARLY, before the covid moves into the lungs and into a deadlier phase. One reason the president is doing so well is because they treated him early, and with a multi-pronged approach — instead of making him wait and tough it out at home, like they tell the rest of us to do.
It doesn’t matter if we have these miracle drugs that work if doctors won’t prescribe them early. Instead, they us to come in to the ER for treatment only if you are having breathing problems. By that time, the disease has taken hold, and HCQ — or anything else — isn’t going to be as effective. If they used HCQ like they use Tamiflu, within the first day or two, we could knock this out. Countries that have low death rates give HCQ early and without a hassle. Sad that we aren’t doing that — we could have saved lives and businesses.
IIRC, President Trump was taking HCQ/Zinc cocktail as preventative. That probably helped somewhat.

President Trump is absolutely right about the futility of the masses being required to wear masks, and international medical opinion is turning against it. The average person doesn’t dispose of masks daily or launder them, and tend to touch their face more often so masks become germy rags that are handled and spread disease.
Masks also give a false sense of confidence to people that they are safe from infection and not spreading it even if sick.
The hysteria of the anti-Trump media reached a fever pitch and Biden parrots parrots the junk science behind the mandates. If he wants to live in a sterile enclosure and not interact with other humans that fine, but don’t force ridiculous polices and restraints on the freedom of others. Freedom always comes with a price and you don’t get to yell at the govt to rob others of freedom because you don’t ‘feel safe.’ Good Lord we should know this.
My daughter is a medical professional in the best hospital in Boston (IMO) who contracted the virus treating COVID-positive patients (three weeks of moderate illness, fine now)… When working, she is decked out in ‘frontline’ PPE…. When she first got her N95 mask, they had to re-fit her 6 times. Why? Because the outfitter said if it didn’t fit her ‘perfectly’, it wouldn’t protect her. An N95 mask has to fit perfectly? She asked “then what about the masks all the people are wearing?”… Response: “honey, they don’t do shit”…. Wearing her ‘perfectly fitted’ N95 mask, she got sick anyway….
So sorry to see this. i hope she is good to go now. We are pretty close to cracking this thing, if cool heads prevail like President Trump’s doctors.
I am still praying he will be OK in the next week.

He told her that with her 3 leaky valves and the bacteria accumulation on her mask; she is more inclined to have a heart attack and die.
So….he told her… Do Not wear those damn things.
She warned me, if I read about an old lady in upstate NY who was arrested for not wearing a mask; it would be her.

There are respiratory flu variations out there that are pretty nasty. Nobody really care about them though. I had respiratory one in 2007 that lasted for about three weeks and ended up with a case of pneumonia before I got rid of it.

My conclusion from the liberal outrage of the day: the snowflakes are genuinely, truly terrified of this virus. The next step in my thought process is that they then must have genuinely, truly believed Trump was going to die, period.
Putting aside how sick it is that they are that let down by the fact that he didn’t, the fact that they are living in such utter terror of something that the CDC itself admitted has NOT killed as many people as they lie about (their website still says almost 210k deaths, WTH) is sad beyond words. These people are afraid of their own shadow and in a constant state of hypertension.
Are they just addicted to the adrenaline rush of constant outrage? The media certainly gives them that on a silver platter. I honestly just don’t get that way of living, because it makes me doubt these people feel any true joy, ever.
…of course, I will have no problem putting my pity aside when Trump wins re-election. As sad as their state of mind is, the left has become so disgustingly hateful towards us that I am unabashedly going to point and laugh, loudly, at all the snowflakes sobbing in about a month.

Early voting is right around the corner, fellow Treepers. Here in San Antonio, it kicks off on the 13th of October. Since that happens to also be my 71st birthday, I plan on spending a part of that day, standing in line to vote, for my President, Donald Trump.
I will be in line on the first day of early voting here in Florida as well. I’m a bit older than you and in dicy health – I want to vote as early as possible just in case.
