First, my sincere apologies. None of these site issues were created by CTH admins and we apologize unreservedly for the issues you are experiencing as a result of intentional decisions by WordPress, their subsidiaries and their platform architects.
So here’s the current status:
♦ The good news is the site architecture has been restored; and -after some intense work- the past five days of information has been restored. You should now have the same functionality of the website that you held prior to the October 1st changes.
[Note there are two identical open discussion posts for today’s political discussion – I will leave them in place to avoid further confusion.]
That said, if you are having some issues it may be related to your “cookies and cache” memory redirecting you to the site while the architecture compromise was in place (over the past five days). One way to trouble shoot the issue is to clear your cookies and cache on your devices (phone, tablet, computer etc.). That should reset your device memory to today, and that should put you back to the restored site architecture.
Clearing your cookies and cache is annoying because it requires you to re-enter all of your saved usernames and passwords etc. Again, my apologies because this fix is an annoyance you should not have to experience.
♦The bad news (lol and grrr) should be hopefully invisible to site guests; and I will work diligently to ensure the ongoing challenges do not impact your experience.
One of the challenges we now face is my ability to write rapid content for distribution. As you are aware CTH is a high-content/high-engagement website with over 200,000 subscribers and daily unique visits making CTH the #1 worldwide blog on the WordPress platform. Unfortunately this also puts us in the spotlight for those who oppose our content, research and discussion. The current challenges are conspicuously timed; but I will overcome, we always do.
Thank you for your understanding as we work through these challenges; and again my apologies for any lingering website issues you might notice or experience.
CTH will always work diligently to be deserving of your ongoing support and fellowship; and I can assure you we will find a way to get back on track with the information, research, citations and honest analysis you deserve. It might take a bit longer than usual but we will prevail, and I will keep you updated in the event unforeseen challenges should arise.
In the grand scheme of life these on-line technical challenges are minuscule compared to the gift each new sunrise and sunset provides. Live your best life; engage your family, friends and community with a joyful spirit of optimism. You are what matters most; everything else is less than… Try not to sweat the small stuff. /SD
REMINDER….
I have long felt that life is like a series of links in a chain. You might be driving down the road and you hear a song on the radio, or see a picture, and you feel a memory…. Something that reminds you of a different time and place than where you are right now.
You reflect.
The memories you consider remind you of a totally different time in your life.
Perhaps you lived in a different place. Perhaps you were surrounded by different people. Perhaps a different job or completely different friends.
You recognize those memories were constructed like frozen moments in time. They become individual links in the chain in your life.
We never actually realize, in the immediate moment, when one link closes and another link begins. However, when we look back we can clearly see distinct points where things changed, the link closed, and a new link began.
The links are only visible in reflection.
As we reflect we find parts of the chain in our life where each link closes and connects with the other. A beginning, and an end.
At the point where the links are joined we carry parts of the previous link forward to the next. For many people those connections are bonded by family, or very strong life long relationships. Connections which continue beyond our geographic moments, jobs or temporary acquaintances.
But for everyone, the primary bonding agent brought forward from one link to the next is ourselves, our center, our values and core principles. Our beliefs.
The strength of the steel which comprises the links of our life is determined by forging in the fire of adversity, weakness, challenge, pain, loss, and painful growth. The steel is then cooled with the tears of triumph, hurdles overcome and resolve.
The forging makes the steel stronger and able to withstand the pressures that accompany the additional length. Slowly the chain becomes wiser as it lengthens. Able to reach further, form more significant benefits, and become more useful.
Hope replaces fear. Love replaces loneliness. Success replaces adversity. These are successful links began and finished while contributing to the whole.
At times we may manipulate the links with avoidance. We hide from -or choose to avoid- an issue in our effort to begin a new link before the old one was naturally, and spiritually, prepared to be closed. Eventually as life continues, and the chain lengthens, the weak link can fracture and we are forced to revisit/repair what we originally chose to avoid.
You see, in life we cannot control the universal laws that guide us. So if we manipulate circumstances to avoid confronting our own weakness, we cannot fully strengthen our life of links. Eventually, the weakness of our past will impact our future.
So what principles do we carry from link to link? What core values and beliefs stay with us throughout the journey of our lives? The answers to these questions are what makes us human spiritual beings.
We possess freewill able to make choices about what we do, and how we define our individual humanity; but can we then define ’right’ and ‘wrong’ according to our individual principles? Or are there principles that exceed our influence and definition?
Are there natural laws of right and wrong, good and bad, that cannot be subjected to the determination of man? These are the bigger questions, perhaps the more important questions, and yet perhaps the ones we reflect upon the least.
Consider the example of the ‘Law of the farm’ vs. the ‘Law of the School’. Natural principles vs. those made by man.
A student can skip class, take only a few notes, pay only half attention, then stay up all night cramming for a test and manage a decent grade. It depends on the students goal: grades or learning.
The student can choose to manipulate the education, by avoiding the learning and capturing the grade. This is possible in the ‘Law of the School’. However, a farmer cannot take short cuts. A farmer cannot avoid tending to the soil, preparing the seed, fertilizing and nurturing the crop, and still gain benefit of an abundant harvest.
The farmer must necessarily do all of the appropriate work in order to benefit from it. Such is the ‘Law of the Farm’, the natural law.
When one considers the weakness remaining within a poorly constructed and manipulated link, perhaps established by selfish choices and driven by avoidance and fear, one can be faithfully be assured those who have dealt dishonestly with us will have to visit the issues of their association again.
Conversely, no amount of manipulation or avoidance on our own behalf is going to improve the frailty of any link without first resolving the lack of character which created the weakness.
So we have choices in our lives. Decisions we each make regarding how we interact, and participate in the lives and links of others; as well as how we choose to construct the links that compromise our own lives. Do we base our sense of purpose around natural principles? Principles based on natural laws of right and wrong, good and bad, truth and lies.
Do we forge strong links based on following our heart, our values? If we can interact with others absent of a prideful self-driven agenda, or manipulative intent, we can then apply such principles and strength to our endeavors.
If we protect the integrity of the soil upon which we build the foundation of our lives, we can live without regret.
If we fertilize and cherish our crop, and the crop of our neighbor, with honesty and sincere appreciation for the souls we meet along our chosen path, we will live a life of abundance.
If we tend carefully to the consideration of everyone, yet holding true to our values and principles, we can strengthen ourselves amid the face of adversity and disenchantment.
If we do not hide from, nor ignore, our individual and collective faults, we can build the chain of our life with strength, humility, and purpose.
I wish for each of you a long chain of bold, strong, purposeful and beautiful links, polished with the reflective brilliance of Love…….. The very happiest of blessings for a brand new day.
Love to all,
Sundance

Thank you, Sundance!
Ditto. The last few days were trying. I couldn’t post a thing.
Thanks for staying focused and getting this resolved.
That worked. Thanks!
Keep on Truckin’
You have 1 job that you MUST do November 3rd. Make Biden a Hillary, put Nancy et al in the rear view mirror of History and get a 60 vote Senate.
Did you save your content outside of the WordPress app?
Yes….content as been restored.
TY ad rem..
When anything funny happens, I just figure I am old and don’t get it…
It all looks good now..
I know how you feel. This has all been a first for me too!
Ad rem: You have just enhanced your resume, now!
This i”Ongoing Issues, and Apologies” pages is the only part of the treehouse i can see. iAnd i got to this page from it’s link on twitter. Otherwisei get this message :
Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.
Did you read the part of SD’s post that discussed cleaning your cache and cookies? For you this really may be necessary. 🙁
thank you got it done am in. am getting old.
Do people not do that? Maybe I’m too paranoid I clear cookies and cache at the end of every session, and if I’m on for a long time 2 or 3 times during a session, throws em off the trail or so i tell myself.
I wouldn’t bother if everything’s working. Count your blessings! 😀
Oh, I love the photo of the freeway and the great mountains in the distance.
I have photos exactly like that on my refrigerator, taken through the front window of our vehicle as we traveled hither and yon over the decades. Love driving the open road.
It looks like I-70 heading westbound at the Buffalo Herd Overlook.
That’s what I thought too.
Yes. I was just going to say that. I-70 heading west from Denver.
Colorado is stunning.
Yes, Heading West into Utah…(born in Utah) so actually the beautiful scenery is Utah’s right? haha jk
I still live here in the West/Southwest and this is an amazing country that God has created for our enjoyment and use.
I have always loved the driving through scenery in Utah, and also on some of the back roads. So much variety. If I hadn’t been born in Montana, maybe I would have wanted to have been born in Utah.
Eons ago I drove from Denver to SoCal West on the 70 and 15. A fantastic drive the whole way. Did it in June so it wasn’t too hot and the Eisenhower Tunnel was dry and clear.
That stretch in Utah West of Green River and the part where the freeway goes up the Eastern part of the Western Rockies… i suspected that the Indians, the US Cavalry and John Wayne were having it out right over the next edge with the fate of a stage coach, a couple of bags of US Mail and some scalps hanging on the outcome.
Awesome country.
But, I still prefer the geography in California. With our ragged Sierras, deep Pacific, dry as a bone deserts and those gorgeous oak and high mountain forests, It compares very well with Utah, Arizona and New Mexico, but it much more varied and we have quakes and volcanos and fires and Progressives so if you don’t like it today, just wait a few years. 😉
Hopefully the political 9.5 we need in Calimexistan won’t take too long in coming.
I’m kinda figuring that a Cascadia Subduction Zone Event might be the only way clean things up in Portland and Seattle, kind of a real-world 9.5 to effectuate the political 9.5 these states stand so terribly in need of.
Sad.
One of Tool’s best songs is “Aenema”… just sayin’… 😉
I recall back in ’80, Sunday, sitting outside by the library, studying for finals, enjoying the sun.. when a friend came out running “St. Helens just blew up”..
We raced to the Physics Dept. Climbed the tower and looking South we could see a HUGE mushroom cloud slowing climbing to the skies…. then we raced down to the basement to look at the seismographs… OMG… anyone near that place felt a 9.5 for sure.
That one eruption was OK for us North, but a couple of months later a lady friend with one of them “if this van’s arockin'” fully carpeted van invited me to a Grateful Dead concert in Spokane.. the whole weekend… OMG… but St. Helens blew again and we didn’t go. Now that was not a good thing.
Exactly — Genesee Park.
Yeah. And the space ship house.
Once past the buffalo overlook and over the next big long hill on I-70 West, you knew you were on your way to some great skiing, great dining and weekend fun!
Floyd Hill always scared the bejeebers out of me.
Yes, Floyd Hill and putting on the brakes going down!! One steep grade.
Looks like Montana going West on 90 to me.
One of my refrigerator photos is from a Montana interstate between Billings and Miles City looking away into the distance – – with a bunch of antelope resting and grazing in a field very close by. So beautiful.
And it could be going East as well. I spent a lot of time driving in Montana. I lived in the exact center of the state thanks for about 10 years. Beautiful scenery everywhere.
Could have fooled me….
I thought I-90 here in SW Montana…Spring time photo..
Until ????
I noted the “3-lanes wide”…. none of that up here to speak of… not enough folks…
Still…. one of those KODAK MOMENTS we “western USA dweller’s” see every day.
Noww… Get some Parks Highway or Dalton Highway photos from Alaska…
Make sure some of them show “Mt. McKinley” with the early morning sun cap…
Goodness, no apology needed!
We all continue to be grateful for the content and analysis and space to share that which you provide.
I was about to say the same.
Do not apologize! We’re just so glad to have the treasure of this site back again.
(And now I must follow the “law of the farm” and go out to take care of a couple of gardening tasks that cannot wait and that must be done thoroughly, or I will not be rewarded next year… love this essay of yours.)
I have long said, the vagaries of WP are just part of the price we pay, for this magnificent refuge, the OTHER part being the DONATE button, of coarse.
And, as much of a pita as WP IS, the Treehouse is STILL the best bargain on the internet, by FAR!
Time to clear my cache and cookies, and DONATE, again,…
I’m glad I bookmarked you twitter profile…

I’ve had a horrible time commenting and LIKING here for months.
I was so thrilled yesterday when I finally was able too. All will be well.
Is there anything that SD & Co cannot do? Remarkable!
Many thanks Sundance…terrific post. Good luck with WordPress. And where did you take that spectacular photo of the road leading to mountains.
I am always grateful for your willingness to share your insights, grateful for the fact that I am tolerated…
I resemble that remark! Thanks to all the Treehouse!
Yes, thank you for your wisdom and effort.
Thanks and glad to know we are #1 Worldwide.
Now if we could only get PT to post here every now and then…………..
Well, Bogey, as I had mentioned in another post, we have had marvelous Sidney Powell post comments here a few years back.
Interesting, I was having a conversation this week with a family member. Their son’s friend got a full medical retirement from the military, he was in Cyber Security and is subsequently going to college in this field. He told the family members’ son that he was concerned going to work from some employers because he could not tell them they had a potential security risk because of US government code and methods he could potentially see.
The friend would face jail time if he identified US government code and methods found in a Cyber threat and brought that to the attention of the person he was working for or contracted. Hmmmmm.
Not saying this was anyway related to the US government (intelligence agencies), but isn’t it convenient how they protect sunlight from being exposed on inserting malicious code into a private sector entity.
This is the war/civil war of the future: ensuring the free and fair exchange of ideas without manipulation by clandestine three letter agencies with an ulterior motive – subverting freedom.
Things that make ya’s go …hmmmmmm……
…or things that make ya’s find a memory and go “uh-huh.”
Only way I could get to the site was through WordPress (Reader favorites page)

highdezertgator In the Brave browser I clicked on the 3 bars at the top-right of the browser to access the customize menu. i clicked on More Tools, then clicked on Clear Browsing Data. once that is open you can choose what you wish to clear. I only cleared my browsing history for a week. That seems to have solved the problem with WordPress.
working better than ever for me – thanks for all the hard work by all involved,
Me too, mimbler, things seem to be back to normal.
I am a guest here at your house.
If the roof springs a leak, and I have to leave the living room while you fix it, I feel no less welcome.
I’m just glad I was invited.
oldersoul??
Well said, and I feel the same.
Ditto!
Thank you for all your hard work, past, present, and future.
Agreed cheering4america; no apologies needed.
I’m just so happy I could connect from my e-mail link! HA!!H!!
And POTUS is leaving the hospital today at 6:30 pm; to the chagrin of his enemies.
I find this so amazing that ONLY Republicans have gotten hit over the last few days; when they’ve been doing the same ole, same ole for months. They’ve been wearing the masks and gloves and using hand sanitizer and all the best protocols have been followed! HHmm…hhmm…It almost seems like this was a PLANNED EVENT or something conspiratorial like that…BUT WE Know Better; right?
No one would be that bold and evil, right?
I’m young enough to remember when the illustrious, charming Senator Charles (Chuck the Schmuck) Schumer made the statement on world wide television “Let me tell you: You take on the intelligence community — they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you,” Schumer told MSNBC’s host Rachel Maddow. (https://thefederalist.com/2019/09/27/schumer-intelligence-agencies-have-six-ways-from-sunday-of-getting-back-at-you/)
Maybe I’m being a “conspiracy theorist” with a “tinfoil hat” and all. Even though, I do not believe in conspiracy theories, as it relates to government, especially Washington, DC and more importantly, especially during an election…..the most consequential Presidential Election in my entire life.
When I could not get to this site earlier in the day, I was so upset. Finally, I tried it on my iPhone, and so appreciate your advice to clear history (cookies, etc.). That did the job.
Thank you — and thank you, Sundance, and all you great Treepers! You are all the best, brightest commenters. I truly appreciate all you contribute.
Ask Gen. Flynn if it’s a “theory”!
Great point, old deplorable owl!
I didn’t mention, in my post, that I believe in REALITY; not Theory.
And I believe All of THIS is REAL!!
JMHO.
Amen, Abby, Amen!
Well nothing else has been in my mind but biological warfare. Either the Chinese or the Democrat party (or a collusion thereof) inflicted this at this time on our president and his advisers. I don’t see any other way around it. Too conspicuous by far. I hope they catch them and hang them high.
Absolutely!!!
Bio warfare: Tonight I heard on Fox 2 doctors say it is very strange that this China virus is NOT mutating which indicates it’s not natural but created in the lab and that the world scientists must begin to accept the unthinkable that it was released on purpose!
Sundance??
Thank you for your commitment to this site and seeking truth.
Beautiful message in this post, thank you.
Dang those rat bast@rd$ messing with CTH site at this moment in the election cycle! Sending some pizza $ your way for all the extra time the team is putting in to resolve the issues.
How did you know I just ate cookies?
Might have to wait awhile for those to clear!?
Sundance – Great analogy – I might have to borrow that one for a talk sometime! I know you don’t hear it as much as you SHOULD but we all are ever grateful for your work that you put out on a daily basis. Bravo Zulu!
Haven’t been able to log in. Hope this works.
Best wishes with the ongoing site maintenance!
WordPress is just fortunate it is not a horse.
What I want to know is when did Joe Biden become a wordpress programmer?
PDJT heading back to the White House and the CTH mobile version back up and running. Not a coincidence if you ask me. ?
Sundance….your last part above, “Links in a chain…”.
powerful words…..I was especially struck by the part when you say, “are you interested in grades or learning”….first time in the university I was only interested in a grade…didn’t last long….9 years later, the second time through I was interested in learning… BIG BIG diff….flunked out first time thru, deans list second time through…… maturity also helped david
Cleared and it worked. Looks just like the page before the change.
Sundance, thank you for all your devoted hard work, both tech and soul. I used to write for a political blog, and moved to writing about food. I’ve stopped both, because so much of it required social media interaction, which I loathe. I love this community. Sundance, I love your introspective writing, your investigative skills, and your determination to get people awake. And I love the comments here, I always, every day, learn something to help me along in life. Thank you all.
You asked (rhetorically?):
“Are there natural laws of right and wrong, good and bad, that cannot be subjected to the determination of man?”
The unequivocal answer and one that our prescient Founders took as a given in their “unsophisticated and un-PC” Judeo-Christian system of core beliefs derived from God in His Bible, is An emphatic “YES!”
The further those on “our side” shift away from this foundational and immutable Truth, the weaker and more bound to be defeated in the Spiritual War for America we are.
Sundance, thank you for this beautiful post. I read it through tears, and intend to keep it and read it often. It was very thought provoking.
Sundance etal,
Thank you for ALL THE HARD WORK, that you put in to this site. The education that I am receiving on a host of topics is mind blowing (yeah, I admit my mind is not that big). The community that is here is an oasis from the crazy world around us, Truly A Refuge.
A side note, made a donation from here and received an alert from PayPal, about my device being unrecognized. Never happened from any other donations made from this site. Maybe nothing, or something else, with what has occurred with WordPress in the last few days.
You perchance running behind a VPN? I get that a lot when I am.
Yes always behind a VPN.
First time that I noticed this happening. With everything that has been going on with WP, might be something else to look at
old deplorable owl thanks for the information about a VPN
I asked because I’m getting the same grief when going into my bank account lately, amongst others. Suspect it may have to do with “improved” security measures. My VPN selects random ‘locastions’, so it may mess up the algos??
Ahhh … back to normal on Edge … cleared cache, et al, now to see what damage has been done having to have to redo how much …
Take WordPress out to the wood shed …
No apology necessary. We all understand. The important thing is we can continue to meet here with fellow Treepers and give and take in our efforts to find the truth. I appreciate all the effort it took to get this straightened out. Thank you all for sticking with it. I would expect no less from you. It’s who you are. I will be here if you’ll have me, and I’ll post when I have something worthwhile. Hi Ad rem, you’re a peach! Now, back to the battle…
We are so very grateful for all your efforts.
Gratitude is an action word.
We would like to donate a little money to TCTH, but are not that comfortable with online donations.
Is there another way a foreigner can contribute directly, or is online the only way?
Cheers, and God Bless PDJT
Thanks Sundance and team. Your hard work and commitment are well appreciated. Praying all remains well.
Sundance & Company- you never have to apologize for anything. Very few people in the world are able to make a difference and touch people’s lives as you do. Fewer than that are able to have such a profound effect on the world of politics, but there you are, every day, working your ass off to help our President Trump defeat our enemies and save our Republic.
We are not only lucky but privileged to live in a time when Super Heroes such as you, our President and a very few others) are walking the earth and watching over our great Country.
Please know that while trillions may be at stake, there are millions of people just like us who want to keep America great. God bless us all and let’s get back to regular business ASAP. We have an election to win.
So glad The Treehouse is up and running again.
God bless the admins and Sundance. Don’t know where i’d be without you and every one else that posts informative and uplifting comments.
love to all
MAGA
No matter what WordPress could ever do to make CTH challenging (or even next to impossible) to read, I’ll do whatever it takes to still have it everyday in my life.
The amount of effort for research, presentation, maintenance is incredible. This site is an oasis in a turbulent world. Than you SD and team.
Beautiful, Sundance. Thank you.
Sundance and admins, Thanks for all you do!
It’s good to have the mobile formatting back.
I understand a bit if what you’re going through. I have an online store and two years ago the web company that provided my online storefront gave me 48 hours notice that they were shutting down. I had two days to move to another platform and rebuild much of the content.
The internet works well except when it doesn’t.
Sundance-
(1) So what are the issues you are running on writing and publishing? Is WP now making it so that you have to jump through some loops? Are they hosting your site?
(2) Yep, the timing is definitely suspect… just as the SHTF all over, with top ONLY Trumpers getting sick, the Pres ordering declassification and CTH getting a lot more publicity.
(3) Nyet, tovarish, I’m no asking for my money back… 😉 Keep up the good work.
So beautifully written. Thank you, Sundance, for this wonderful site and everything you and everyone else, too, do to help us become better at living life!
Have found the following helpful, too, so sharing here:

THE FOUR AGREEMENTS
Don Miguel Ruiz with Janet Mills
BE IMPECCABLE WITH YOUR WORDS
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.
DON’T TAKE ANYTHING PERSONALLY
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection, a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.
DON’T MAKE ASSUMPTIONS
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness, and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.
ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to when you are sick. Under any circumstances, simply do your best and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret.

Hope this works…I have appreciated this site since i found it during the Treyvon/Zimmerman days and the 2015-16 election was epic times indeed,. Hope to be around more if this works…
Yipee…Thanks Sundance and crew
Thank you Sundance for reminding us all to live our best life with optimism! Your post is a beautiful breath of fresh air that renews our collective faith in “The Best is Yet to Come!”
Ah!! The little notification bell up in the top-right is back! Yay… I think that was what I missed the most. 🙂
And Sundance, I think I said this awhile back, and I’ll repeat. It obviously hasn’t happened yet, but If our financial situation were to change (it’s more than a dream, I’m actually working on some things) I have every intention of helping you upgrade to… well, to whatever happens to be the very best website software there is. No idea what that is, or if there are software developers out there who could be hired to do a one-off of really high quality. But regardless, I’m serious about this, and I want everyone here to hold me to this if/when things change for us. 🙂
You have put things into perspective and lifted my spirit!
Weird. I’m checking out the notifications that show up by the “bell” icon, and it seems to be a little confused. It’s showing me random comments by random users, not just replies (or “likes”) to my own. And of the ones that DO claim to be from me, they’re not actually. (I mean they’re labelled from me in the notifications, but they’re not, and in the actual comment thread they’re marked correctly from whoever posted them.)
Just letting you know in case this is a new glitch or something that will eventually clear up on its own. And I know about maybe clearing cookies and cache, so I’ll do that if I need to, but just wanted to comment on this first.
“CTH the #1 worldwide blog on the WordPress platform”
And even though that should make WP really happy anytime they have a site doing massive business… I gotta wonder if they might feel just the opposite, considering it’s THIS site. Hmmm… :/
