I have dealt with him many a time in the past 20 years and he’s always good to his word and truly understands agriculture, farming, land conservation techniques, water resources, and many other issues important to our our local and state food supply and production.
Besides, he was the lead in help solving our “hog lagoon” problem that has plagued us for a century by providing the money and education for alternative measures that worked and did not cost the hog farmers millions of dollars to convert to 3-5 different solutions–some even made the hog producers extra money–like vermiculture (worms).

I know three people who have died from this. 3. All were diabetic, 2 were obese.
I know two who were hospitalized but survived. They weren’t put on respirators.
I know two who were just diagnosed.

The two people I know who got it both died, one early 70s, obese, institutionalized with severe dementia, and Diabetes.
The second was 85, slender, healthy and very active, but he also had Diabetes.
Despite the fact that they had co-morbidities which affected their outcomes, they are still hard losses on our family.
The evil of COVID is it takes older but much loved family members who, without it, might well have had good years left to look forward to. One of the people I know who died was only 59, with young grandchildren he won’t get to enjoy.
It is a comfort to me, however, that if my children or grandchildren caught it, they would recover.
To deny this virus isn’t real or isn’t dangerous is just wishful thinking.
I’m sure its true … I know or work with hundreds of people … 2 cases among them … no deaths no hospital stays … see how averages work ?

I mentioned this before, but I think it’s important I repost. This is a script I wrote, hoping to get on the Rush Limbaugh Show. All I have gotten is a busy signal so far. With President Trump being grounded, it is more important than ever that we take the responsibility on ourselves to make sure he wins in November.
Here’s my script. Feel free to use it as a model for making your own, if you want to try calling any of the conservative talk shows.

Rush2November is named in your honor plus we need to rush to get it done by Nov 3 – election day. I challenge all Rush listeners to Get 2 – get 2 new voters for Trump. Many of us have a friend or family member who never votes. Get them registered and make sure they vote.
Try to get at least 2 new voters, but even 1 helps. Plus, we need to drive up the popular vote, so all 25-50 million of your listeners need to vote, even if you are in a heavily Democrat state or city.
If just 10% of your listeners get 2 new votes, I think Trump wins. If just 2 million of your listeners get 2 new voters, that’s 4 million new votes. And for every one that voted for Hillary last time, their vote counts twice.
Plus one for Trump and minus 1 for Biden.
So that can easily raise the 4 million votes to 5 million. The other thing I ask is that all your listeners vote. Some of these states are going to be close. Some of the House and Senate races are going to be close. So everyone needs to vote for Trump, your Republican House candidate and Senate candidate if there is one.
Check in your state to see the last day someone can register to vote and make sure you get your friend registered. Then make sure they vote.

If media reports are correct, the president is receiving 2 experimental drugs: the antibody cocktail, Regeneron, and the antiviral, Remdesivir.

You know the adverse effects of Remdesivir, Scott. They’re more than worrisome. Acute kidney injury, for example. And this drug has only emergency authorization, and it’s explicitly for patients who are SEVERE COVID cases. Trump is not a severe case. What’s going on? Why are the Walter Reed doctors piling on?
The other drug, Regeneron, the antibody cocktail, synthesized versions of mouse and human antibodies, is still in clinical trials. There is NO authorization for its use.
In past trials of antibody drugs, highly increased infection has occurred. Very dangerous.

The president is in a very dangerous situation.
Every damn doctor who has any ethics at all should be screaming bloody murder right now. This is not supposition. Would you prescribe a patient not one, but two highly experimental drugs, each of which has very damaging effects? Would you prescribe them TOGETHER? EVER? I agree. Get the successful doctors to treat our President. They have not been using Remdesivir. The studies do not show its usefulness overall and it has some serious side effects.

Yeah, I am not too happy about this plan of treatment either. There are other protocols that are safe and effective aka HCQ-Zinc-Azithro. Ivermectin. I hope that proves to be correct. Seems to be a bit extreme but I’m not a doctor so I guess what I think doesn’t really matter. I just wonder what long term side effects there maybe. Stroke? heart attacks? Will we ever know? If things go south God forbid, who and what gets the blame? I’m sure they would say well it’s the covid virus you know.
