Watched the rallies in Reno and Henderson this weekend. President Trump’s supporters are coming out of the wood work to see him; they are coming out of the silent majority closet, so to speak.

I read an interesting comment on twitter. Remember Xi’s visit to Mar a lago and over two scoops Trump sent missiles into Syria. Everyone saw it as a warning to the PRC. Lancaster was fine going around the city. There was a digital sign asking motorists to please go around the city as a detour and not to enter the city unless you live there.
Heavy police presence on the main artery going around Lancaster.
I then moved onto the turnpike and it was an easy drive with no altercations from there.
Came home directly on turnpike , bypassing 222, RT 30 and Lancaster. Took a little longer but was ok.

If anyone notices, this is the urban section of Lancaster. Lancaster City. Lancaster is a big, semi-rural county. Farmland still predominates.
Pennsylvania is one of the most heavily armed states in America. Extremely gun friendly, and its citizens take full advantage of their rights throughout most of the state.
If those thugs were to venture outside the city and into Lancaster County proper, the locals would send them back in body bags in short order. PA is truly one of the places where there is “a rifle behind every blade of grass” once you get outside the metro areas.
The Amish are a peaceful, almost pacifist religion, they also don’t usually vote in Presidential elections. More than usual did four years ago. They hunt but avoid serving in the armed forces. There are some Amish who have concealed carry permits and carry because they are small shop owners This increased after the Nickle Mines School shooting.
They don’t go looking for trouble, and will escape if possible, but if someone is threatened other than themselves some will act. When I asked one of them wasn’t that against their religion, his response was yes, and I think what he said was “I’ll have to take a knee’ I’m sure that was in a religious sense of acting for forgiveness for breaking the rules.
I have dealt with the Amish and their Mennonite cousins for over half a century. They are peaceful and non-technological, and very hard-working. The Mennonites a bit less so.
But if a mob came to burn down their barns and homes, and destroy their farms, I guarantee they would grab their guns to protect their families and livelihood. And they would do it as a community, as they do everything else.
They are slow to rise. But once prompted to action, they are very decisive.
They are also very shrewd and careful businesspeople.

I worked as a low-level staffer for the Biden campaign’s HQ in Philly from July to the end of August. I am more of a Bernie guy, but I thought I should do whatever I could to defeat Trump, so I joined up. Eventually, I became so disgusted with what was going on, I had to leave. One – The whole campaign is extremely paranoid about leaks/getting hacked.

With the paranoid atmosphere, some of us would make comments about ending up like Seth. Nance made some cryptic tweets about “punishing the hackers” the day before Seth was murdered, and the deed was done less than a mile from the Intelligence Museum in DC that Nance owns. If you saw a recent speech for Joe and though he looked like a mummy, then saw snippets of the same speech in an ad, you might have noticed he looked a lot better. That’s because they contracted VFX artists from California to de-age him. Normally I wouldn’t begrudge them this, as I’m sure all campaigns try to make their candidate look good. But, considering what they’re really covering up…
I don’t believe this supposed insider account. I have no doubt Joe has some cognitive issues, but those issues would NOT be discussed around any low level staffer.
Along the same line, if there is an incontinence issue, the campaign wouldn’t have a meeting to discuss it. Any discussion would be within a very small inner circle and closely guarded. Also, if he had an issue they wouldn’t debate incontinence pads or under garments, they’d debate the best way to hide a catheter bag.

A SWAT team was called in eventually to 20568 Ventura Boulevard after police said the three men ran into an apartment building and refused to come out, leading to a standoff.
SWAT members made entry into the apartment at 5:30 p.m. but found no one inside, the LAPD reported.
Trump supporters say they plan to hold more rallies throughout the area heading into the 2020 election.

On another note, sad to see the blatant robbery in gasoline prices and taxes as the Shell sign in the video had $3.249/$3.359 for cash/credit. Here in the Midwest, just paid $1.659 (one price regardless of cash or credit) for Sheetz 88 octane and 87 octane was $1.859 at same Sheetz and Shell nearby. I think the Sheetz 88 price may be a grand opening special—I suspect the BP and Shell within spitting distance are not as happy as us consumers. Saved me a trip to always-lower Costco for $1.769.

Should have elaborated….I limit visits (read soft boycott) to Costco due to mask mandates, but no confrontation if you don’t wear one and they are turning out to be this poster’s new mask supply point for those necessary moments like the hairdresser. The consultant said, “I have been working in the industry for thirty years and I have never seen anything like this. It’s weird.”
The result is that importers of low value products being shipped by containers such as tee shirts would be at an economic disadvantage transporting containers by truck as opposed to by rail between U.S. West Coast ports and Midwest destinations, because of the higher cost.
The consultant explained that there is a huge shortage of rail capacity: “There are no rail cars and there are no chassis.”

1. Police arrested a man for arson over Sweet Creek Fires. Lane County Police announcement. Oregonian notes “A 44-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of arson in a wildfire that has burned nearly 400 acres and prompted evacuations west of Eugene, deputies say.”
2. Arson arrest in Spokane, WA: KHQ-TV 6 News is reporting that police have arrested a woman for multiple arson incidences; “According to Spokane Police, Officer Mohondro arrived on scene he saw some grass and a pallet on fire outside of a commercial business… The same officer spotted another fire a few blocks away. SPD said the fire was next to an old oil drum under a tree which gave the fire the potential to explode into something much larger was very high.”
3. Arson arrest in California fire: San Fransisco Chronicle reports, “Ivan Geronimo Gomez, 31, of Fresno was arrested and booked into Monterey County Jail on Aug. 19 after state park rangers detained him near the fire’s origin point, the Sheriff’s Office said. Sheriff’s detectives arrested him on suspicion of five charges, including arson of forestland, setting his bail at $2 million. Jail records list illegal marijuana cultivation as another charge, along with throwing objects at a vehicle with intent to cause great bodily harm, battery and exhibiting a deadly weapon that wasn’t a gun.”
4. Police arrest a man in Lane County: The Hill reports, “Authorities in southern Oregon charged a 44-year-old man, Jason Maas, with first-degree arson after he allegedly started a fire in the woods near the frisbee golf course at Dexter State Recreation Area on Wednesday.”
