It also disclosed a 2013 visit to the New Haven office by then-Director James Comey, who apologized to employees for “the failure of the FBI’s executive management to correct the leadership failures” in Connecticut.”

Mnuchin and the Treasury effectively took over the Fed last Spring when U.S. Treasury backstopped the Federal Reserve. Fed was already back-stopping our financial markets. We have had socialize interest rates for years so this isn’t a big deal.
Fed’s roll needs to be redefined. Why couldn’t the Fed manage the small business loans, PPP and EIDL by working SBA in non urban areas as well as cities? Be a great way to offer reparations too. Let Slave decedents have 20 year terms instead of 10 year, and/or pay no tax on first $100k of NEW business income years 1-5. Then $250k business tax free years 5-10 and so on.

Does anyone here have any knowledge of Senior citizens coalition have left the President? Seeing articles floating around that polling suggests that Seniors are leaving and when asked why it is because of his COVID response. Not having been in church since the pandemic which is all seniors I have zero idea if this could be true, but in some ways I can see some who think his handling of the virus has been lackluster. Last night the rally crowd was not wearning masks, I saw a few, but maybe it would help if the POTUS asked the crowd to put on the masks.

From direct conversations here in NY…the heated issue is the potential negative effect the pandemic driven payroll tax-holiday will have on Social Security recipients.
I havent seen any polls, but sadly I can say many elderly including my parents are voting for Biden because they fear losing their SS benefits and secondarily they are not happy with the covid response as it pertains to eldelry dying in nursing homes. I have been concerned this could impact Florida voting.

I’ve posted here about seniors I know in FL that are going soft on POTUS over covid. Basically they are scared, watch a lot of MSM, even more now and have soured on him.
These are fairly well off retirees, they just want things to go back to normal so they can enjoy their golden years. They’ve been influenced by negative media, especially local media with covid scare mongering. I personally think the way to win them back is to illuminate Biden’s tax plan and what it will do to their retirement nest eggs. They may have their butts on their shoulders because their European trip was canceled or their golf games interrupted, but they’ll protect their bank accounts above all.
It’s hard to break through the MSM fog sometimes. This is one area where word of mouth, small outreach gatherings, direct mailers and door knockers would be the best strategy. Biden is flooding airwaves with ads here, so media ads get lost. These people aren’t into social media much. They aren’t inclined to go to a rally or even watch one. They stick to their social circles. Covid is waning here in FL, so it’s entirely possible team Trump could fire up some of their more intimate women for Trump type gatherings in key areas and use those social circles to get the word out regarding Sleepy Joe’s tax policies. Also, the debates they’ll probably watch at least the first debate, they’re still on the fence they’re just scared witless of covid, a vaccine will help too provided Fauci doesn’t shit all over it.
Speaking of the vaccine and the D’s trash talking about it. To me that’s akin to trash talking the Apollo project or the lunar landing. We should be proud of scientific achievements. It’s fine to have some skepticism, but trash talking? That’s uncalled for.

Your parents and friends have nothing to worry about SS. If they are concerned about the payroll tax holiday, tell them Trump said in his own words the amounts to pay into SS are being covered by money in the general fund. You can find that on utube.
What your parents REALLY need to worry about are cuts to Medicare which will absolutely happen when Biden enacts free health care for all AND free healthcare to illegal immigrants. The cost to uphold Medicare and free health care for everybody will be so great that everyone’s Medicare benefits will have to be cut to pay for it all. This isn’t a scare tactic, it is the honest to god’s truth.
Regarding nursing homes, this on on the governors and you need to explain that. FL and GA did a great job with nursing homes, did massive testing and took care of the elderly. Trump’s administration gave all governors very complete guidelines, but NYC, NJ, MI and Mass did not follow the guidelines and had major problems. That’s not on Trump. It would be like if there was a problem in a hospital, would that be Trump’s fault?
Now the DOJ is investigating those states with nursing home deaths. Please explain this to your parents and friends and find a way to get them to listen to the truth and not MSM and disinformation from their friends.
Regarding seniors, if you go to Trump’s twitter account, he just announced that he will be lowering Medicare premiums and RX drug prices. Trump has been working tirelessly to get drug prices down. Your parents should be seeing this soon if not now. Dems have done nothing on Rx prices, and Biden has been in office for 47 years with nothing to show for it.

I would encourage all of us to temper our comments regarding this election, Democrats, Ms. Harris, and Mr. Biden. Three of the four are ‘fair game’ but concerns are as we continue to Election Day, that well worn path of giving as good as you take becomes a slippery slope of beating a handicapped person.
On the one hand we cannot all be in agreement that Mr. Biden has a diagnosed/undiagnosed mental condition(s) while we also use every opportunity to beat him up over it. In nine months or perhaps a year the breaking news will be he is under a doctor’s care for a recently discovered illness.
On the other hand it’s the rough and tumble arena of politics and he should vacate his nomination if the rigors prove to much. But while that realization slowly forms in the coming days and weeks someone is going to get painted w/ the ‘how can you be so cruel’ brush.

The article above states that Congress has done nothing and will do nothing. The Republicans in Congress have no desire to stop the fraud. They would be happy with a Joe Hiden Presidency, being in the minority, having China restored to its previous position of stealing American jobs and technology, ending the Durham investigations and allowing the IC to spy on Americans! I keep looking for something I can do to stop the fraud. For the first time in my almost 50 years of voting I have donated significantly to political candidates, parties, and PACs that at least on the surface oppose the evil forces. Aside from voting and passing information to others, the two other things I’ve thought of involve in the first doing things that are illegal and immoral and the second requires a significant quantity of ethanol in some form.
I’m looking for some alternatives to these that will prevent what appears to be the final catastrophe for our constitutional republic.
