Respectfully, Mr. Soros shorted the GBP / USD in a massive slew of trades over many brokerages. At the time, the Quantum Fund was already resident in Bermuda, and Mr. Rogers had left, but had an interest in the fund as an original owner.
Normally, this type of action would end with MI6 visiting the party as being against the Crown, people would end up floating off the coast of Bermuda in a “fishing accident” or some such thing, and the trades would have been reversed or someone in the City would find a means to put the loss back into the BOE through a form of financial engineering.
In this case, Mr. Soros was just fine after clearing the billion. Although he never actually makes these trades or even does the analysis. Mr. Rogers was his first technician and then there were a slew of big financial names who followed in the seat (I will not bore you with the details). Mr. Soros is a “fundamentals type of trader” who likes to incorporate his “feelings” about Carl Popper into his actions / trading activities. To some extent, it would not be hard to imagine that Mr. Soros is more PT Barnum (or Epstein), than Sir John Templeton.
Does he find very good technicians like Ralph Lauren finds good designers (Mr. Lauren does not draw or sketch), yes. He is very good at finding bright minds. Is he a financial trading genius? Well, it is doubtful across a variety of measurements and statements.
As for what follows up with the French, then Russia, then Malaysia, then Hungry, and so on and so forth, YOU ARE RIGHT ON THE TARGET and it is helpful to see you bringing it all up here.
Mr. Soros is rumored and has made statements (not to different to the Mr .Tucker Carlson interview of Mr. Alan Dershowitz, Esq.) that he is very close personal friends with the Rothschild family (I think Mr. Garth Brooks had a song about friends in high places a few decades ago…it would seem to be like this). This might explain why Prime Minister Major was unable to even investigate the GBP / USD trades at the time.

I have been seeing these “no questions taken press conferences” and scratching my head about what are they accomplishing?? Until it occurred to me that they don’t want anyone to know what their agenda is and don’t care to campaign for votes because they are raising money in underhanded ways (through BLM riots (see ACTBLUE) and no one is voting for Biden(just against Trump) as biden is no more than a place holder. Their whole plan is to create chaos and undermine the election process through our media and then the courts after the election (by filing lawsuits which I’m sure have already been written up, just have to fill in the blanks). Our media is already “conditioning” the electorate with stories such as “What happens when Trump refuses to leave office” and “Election results may not be known for weeks following election”
Watching this all happen and feeling powerless to stop it is disconcerting to say the least but I feel that these DC elites have once again underestimated WE THE PEOPLE and they need to be crushed in Nov by in person votes (even absentee ballots can be “thrown out” because an official “disputes” a valid signature or some other BS reason). I really hope to see some ads that tell the public all the great things the President has accomplished. Lord knows the media is burying anything and all things positive– even the peace agreements — so we need the ads to get out there. For those whose news source is the MSM, and don’t follow the President on Twitter, the ads can be a wake-up call. Imagine hearing for the first time about a peace agreement that was never even reported.
He’s responding to financial reports that his campaign has spent 800 million of the 1.1 billion raised so far. His campaign spent a lot of money during the spring and summer to counter bad press.
Ad purchases for the next 2 weeks are way down for team Trump @ 4.8 million, vs 35.9 million for Biden.

A finite number of registered citizen voters exist. Once their mail-in ballots added to legitimate ballots peak that number, then we will have a peek at their cheating skills . . .

I don’t know where you live Debra, but I can tell you that Pennsylvania will be a nail biter. I understand that the western part of the state will go big for DJT, but the southeastern portion of the state (i.e. Philadelphia area) will go hard for Biden. And this time Philadelphia will double down on the fraud. Biden signs are everywhere. There is almost no evidence of Trump support here and TDS runs very strong among Dems. Every time another Trump voter and I discover each other, I ask if they think our man has a chance, and to a person, I hear, “I don’t know. There are an awful lot of liberals and people who really hate him.”
That gets settled in the courts. Lawfare, not just math.
The mobs burning down our cities right now are screaming about “white privilege”, and they have a rudimentary understanding of what that is: the privilege of good values.
The sinister side of political correctness is that rich white liberals treat good values as their private preserve, off-limits to the poor, don’t you know.
Tom Sowell, Charles Murray and so many other serious conservatives have made good values their favorite subject. Sowell spells out the three-step formula for success in life 1. finish school 2. get married 3. have children within marriage. Poverty is almost unknown among people (of any race) who follow this prescription. Barack and Michelle Obama certainly know this formula.
Marxism always fails because it advocates and obeys inferior values. The current generation of leftists have largely abandoned Marxism, and gravitated to anarchism. Their malign hope is that by destroying literally everything, they can defeat the juggernaut of good values. Prove King Canute wrong, and make the tide of good values recede.
