“He’s continually threatening all of us with his firearm … Keeps saying ‘step closer and he’s going to shoot us’ …”

updateUPDATE: Filtering through all the media reports this is what appears. George and Shellie were both living at a rental home owned by her parents. They are in the process of getting divorced, and subsequently are moving out of that residence. According to Mark O’Mara’s brief statement to media, Shellie Zimmerman was supposed to pick up her stuff last Saturday and George today. Shellie showed up unexpectedly. George was not alone. Another woman, and a friend, was with George.
Here’s the breakdown from TxMom2 who watched it via live-feed:

O’Mara – It was worked out, Shellie was supposed to pick her stuff up Saturday, George today. Shellie “showed up” there today unexpectedly. There were no visible injuries to anyone. There was no threatening with a gun – no gun involved at all. There was some “physical contact” on both sides. Emotions got out of hand. No video to the event – they were all external and only showed some conversation, but without sound. They need to handle their divorce privately even though they’re not private people – not either of their faults. (Well, not exactly – Shellie has been as “public” as she can be since deciding to file for divorce.) The D.A. will review the statements and decide whether to move forward with any charges. When asked, specifically, about Shellie saying her Dad’s nose was broken, O’Mara said, people can perceive things wrong when emotions are heightened.
