The shooter at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner breached security rushing past a magnetometer near the main screening area at the Washington Hilton.
The gunman fired shots at a Secret Service agent inside the ballroom; the agent was wearing a bullet-resistant vest and is expected to recover.
President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and other Cabinet officials were evacuated safely without injury.
The suspect was apprehended and taken into custody by law enforcement.

I think the media definitely promotes hate and division as well as propaganda. How ever, the cure is to ignore the media….not attempt shooting people, or violence.

No offense intended, but this is a highly naive statement. There is a reason that places like China, Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, Russia, etc…. have instituted state run media. They know that power of the media in shaping thoughts, ideas, emotions, narratives & actions. So our media who is intentionally deceitful in their journalism whether by admission or omission is a danger to the American people. Full picture emerging from the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting… -Suspect assembled a “long” weapon in a lightly monitored area near the terrace-level entrance, according to a volunteer witness
-The room had bar carts being stored and “no security” at the time
-Witness Helen Mabus said the gun “didn’t look like a typical gun” and was assembled from a bag
-Gunman then rushed toward the stairs leading down to the ballroom
-Opened fire in multiple directions, witness estimates “at least 10 shots”
-A law enforcement officer was struck, hit in the vest, condition unclear
-One person in custody, Trump and Melania safe Secret Service and Metro Police actively investigating
The fact that someone could assemble a long gun from a bag inside the venue, in a room with no security, before charging the ballroom is a massive security failure that’s going to define every conversation tomorrow.

When the ballroom has a special use such as this, it needs adequate security, and it is fair to evaluate whether that security was adequate. But to say that the whole hotel needed high security for everyone doing their normal business, that may be an unfair expectation.
