He makes these calls to me, I help him out (but not always, because he will, on occasion, be too aggressive in his ask!), and he gets the job done, QUICKLY, without a dime being given to those very expensive (millions of dollars!) consultants around town who sometimes get it done, and sometimes don’t.
Anyway, Tim Cook had an AMAZING career, almost incomparable, and will go on and continue to do great work for Apple, and whatever else he chooses to work on.

Again, I will argue there should not be federal trial courts in DC. Jurisdiction for such cases should be randomly assigned amongst the Circuits. We have the technology to make this feasible in a way it might not have been previously. DC is not a State and should not be treated as one.

There has been a counter-coup in Iran whereby Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf (Speaker of the House) has been sidelined by IRGC Chief Ahmad Vahidi
Ghalibaf, who had assumed defacto leadership and was negotiating with the US, represents the economic faction withing the IRGC, while Vahidi represent the hard-line military faction who are the only ones with access to the Supreme Leader (Mojtaba Khamenei)
This is why the deal which appeared to be in place on Friday suddenly fell apart over the weekend
Iran now has new conditions:
-Full security control over the Strait of Hormuz for the next 5 years
-Any negotiations about the future of Lebanon must go through Iran, not the Lebanese government (this is basically Iran staking out Lebanon as their colony)
-The US must end the blockade before Iran will meet to talk (although talks still appear to be on so maybe it was a bluff)
-Oman to replace Pakistan as the intermediator of negotiations (as of now talks are still on in Pakistan)
Needless to say, these are all obstructionist positions that would basically mean capitulation by the US so it is unlikely that a deal will be reached any time soon. Also, neither Israel nor the GCC would tolerate the respective provisions about Lebanon and the strait
What does this all mean?
As I have said in the past, it’s possible that the IRGC take over and decide to burn the whole thing down rather than negotiate…and that’s where we appear to be heading. So I guess we’re going to find out how serious Trump was about those power plants and bridges
It also means that a deal is less likely and more regime turnover is possible
Talks still appear to be on in Islamabad, but who knows what happens…there are conflicting reports by the hour

Sen. Tommy Tuberville has just said it would be “devastating” to leave the IRGC in control of Iran. We need to take them out. But how?
Let’s politely suggest telling the State Department to stand down, and let the Army go in and finish the job. It will not be a quagmire, because President Trump is in charge. If we leave the State Department in the lead, it will be a historic, unprecedented, negotiated quagmire.
I think Rubio has earned the trust of President Trump and the benefit of the doubt from us citizens.
The IRGC will never, repeat never, agree to any peace deal that removes them from power. If they lose power, the brutality that they leveled against the Iranian people will be returned with righteous vengeance. Its a zero sum game for the IRGC members and their affiliated goons. They would rather test our resolve, than face their own people.
