Afternoon, dear lady. I’m so pleased you enjoy the morning’s music in this esthetically way. Busy “life chores day” for me. Happily, I picked up my taxes from my lawyer—such a nice guy. My taxes are generally uncomplicated so he rarely has a question for me once I get everything organized and to him . . . Even though they’re relatively simple, for him, that’s not true for me as I have such a problem with numbers. (Since I couldn’t do 2nd grade math or make change . . . I became an anthropology professor! Go figure.) 😉 Little ‘Tink just came in for a snack. She sends you a gentle good afternoon purr. Somehow she always seems to know with I’m talking with friends. (1810-1891)
American circus promoter and showman (Barnum & Bailey), dies at 80
Biography: Known as ‘The Greatest Showman,’ Barnum is best remembered for founding the traveling Barnum & Bailey Circus which ran from 1871 until 2017, and for promoting various hoaxes on his audiences. He is credited with the saying “there’s a sucker born every minute,” though it cannot be proven he coined this.
Barnum ran the Barnum’s American Museum after purchasing it in 1841. Here he produced several elaborate hoaxes, including the Fiji mermaid hoax, and employed the famous dwarf General Tom Thumb. When he started the Barnum & Bailey Circus with James Bailey he became known as the “Shakespeare of Advertising” for his innovative ways getting patrons to see his exhibits, though he was often accused of false advertising.
In the latter part of his career he also served as a politician, serving in the Connecticut legislature in the 1860s and as the mayor of Bridgeport from 1875 to 1876. In 2017 Australian actor Hugh Jackman played Barnum in the film The Greatest Showman. The soundtrack to the film was the best-selling album of 2018 in the United States.

Henry Ford
(1863-1947)
American industrialist and auto maker (Ford Model T), dies at 83
Biography: Henry Ford introduced the Model T Ford automobile in October 1908, the world’s first mass-produced car. In producing an automobile for the middle classes instead of just for the wealthy, Henry Ford help change American society forever.
Prior to this Ford had spent many years perfecting different engines and models, including leaving an original company bearing his name that later became the Cadillac Automotive Company.
The Model T went on to sell over 15 million units. Ford was able to achieve this by developing his car assembly line through mass production, the first significant industrialist to do so.
Henry Ford is also remembered for establishing a minimum wage of $5 a day in 1914, raising the daily rate from $2.34 for most workers. It was a sensational move at the time aimed at acquiring and retaining the best workforce.
In later life Henry Ford rested on his laurels and when he didn’t adapt the Model T to customers wants he was overtaken by competitors before releasing the updated Model A in 1927.
A man of often conflicting character, Ford is also remembered for his pacifism during World War I and his promotion of antisemitic views.

George Nissen
(1914-2010)
American inventor (created the trampoline), dies at 96
Biography: George Nissen was an American gymnast, inventor, and businessman who is best known for inventing the trampoline. His invention has since become a popular piece of equipment in athletic training, recreation, and competitive sports around the world.
Nissen became involved in gymnastics in high school and continued practicing the sport at the University of Iowa, where he won the NCAA gymnastics championship in 1935 and 1936. It was this background which provided him for the background and interest for his work with trampolines.
The idea for the trampoline came to Nissen in the early 1930s after watching trapeze artists perform tricks and drop into a safety net at the end of their acts. He envisioned a device that could use the principle of the bouncing net to help train tumblers and gymnasts. Along with his coach, Larry Griswold, he created the first prototype of the trampoline in 1936. They named it after “el trampolín,” the Spanish word for diving board.
Nissen’s invention proved versatile and gained popularity beyond training for acrobatics and gymnastics. During World War II, for instance, the U.S. Navy used trampolines for pilot and navigator training, to give trainees a sense of orientation in the air. Later, the space program also used trampolines to help astronauts develop and maintain their spatial awareness.
Nissen continued to promote his invention throughout his life, showcasing the trampoline at performances and competitions. He also founded a company, the Nissen Corporation, which manufactured and sold trampolines.
He always wanted trampolining to be an Olympic sport and was reportedly delighted when it was included in the Olympic Games as a competitive sport starting in the year 2000. He attended both the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney and the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he was allowed to test the trampoline before the event.
George Nissen’s contributions to sports and recreation were widely recognized. He held several patents and was inducted into numerous halls of fame, including the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame.

Resurrection Day Service: Pastor Hank Kunneman April 5, 2026
Pastor Hank teaches that the large rock sealing the tomb was actually a massive stone put there by 200 to 400 Roman soldiers. It was not a pill that was simply rolled away, but a giant stone that was blasted away by God’s Dynamite Resurrection Power, landing atop a nearby hill. This would have taken a thousand men or more to move, if at all, and everybody there saw it and knew it, to the Glory of God!
I’ve wondered about that since I was a child, but nonetheless believed, because “with God, all things are possible.”
THEY DON’T WANT THIS MESSAGE OUT.–Pastor Troy Brewer:
“If it’s woke, it’s actually demonic because Jesus is never woke. … Because woke wants you to accept a lie as truth every time. I’m like, “No, I’m not going to do that.” …
So, for as yet they did not know the scripture that he must rise again from the dead. Then the disciples went away again to their own homes. But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping.
So after the boys left, the girl is still standing there. And then so many times that’s the way it’s been in the body of Jesus. Or the women have had to be faithful in very difficult, dark places because the boys left.
And she went in and she stooped down and she looked into the tomb and she saw two angels in white sitting one at the head and the other at the feet where the body of Jesus had laid.
Now this reminds us of the Ark of the Covenant over the mercy seat. Right? But it says that the scriptures had not been revealed yet, which means they’re still in the dark place. None of it makes any sense. And I don’t know how it made sense to her that there were two. And I don’t know if she knew then that they were angels. I don’t think she did because when Jesus shows up, she thinks that he’s the gardener. I just thought, good gosh, there’s people in here. And one is sitting here and one is sitting there over the linen cloth where Jesus had been resurrected from the dead. And one of those angels actually spoke to her and said, “Woman, why are you weeping?” And she said, “Well, because they’ve taken away my Lord and I don’t know where they’ve laid him.”
So again, she’s so out of her tree going, “We got to find his body. We got to find his body. We got to find his body.” The the hits just keep on coming. It just keeps getting worse and worse and worse. Man, we got to find his body. What are we going to That’s still how she’s addressing the whole situation.
Now, when she had said this, she turned around and she saw Jesus standing there. Because one of the ways that she received, woman, why are you weeping? is this. It’s inappropriate for you to cry in this place, in this moment. So, she turned around. She knew what she knew. She knew what they were saying. Hey, you can’t bring those tears in here. This is a holy place.
And she’s like, “Yeah, it is a holy place, but I don’t know what they did with the body of Jesus. I have to find that body. I have to.” So, she backs out. She turns around and boom, a dude is standing there. Now, when she said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she didn’t know it was Jesus. This is a big part of the Jesus experience that you and I will always carry until we see him face to face. Is he’s going to be involved in so many things within our lives, and we’re not going to know it’s him.
What that means is he’s not on trial, we are.
And Jesus said to her, “Woman,why are you weeping? And whom are you seeking?” He adds, “They whom are you seeking?” And she supposed to him to be the gardener [because He was amidst the flowers] said to him, “Sir, if you’ve carried him away, just tell me where you laid him, and I’ll take him away from there.”
And Jesus said to her, “Mary.” And she turned and said to him, “Rabbi,” which is say, “Teacher.”
When she heard our beautiful Jesus say her name, she knew who it was and she turned to him and immediately said, “Teach me.” That’s a total place of surrender.
There’s a way I think about this.
There’s a way I have a grid for it.
There’s a way my people think about it.
There’s what the disciples think about it.
‘You tell me how to think about this. and that’s what I’m going to do.’
That’s a surrendered life. You know, you can surrender like Mary did today and you can just say, “Lord, teach me. I will surrender to whatever you say, however it is that you say it.”
But Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me.” Now, I want to I want to tell you this. It doesn’t mean do not touch me. And in the King James, it actually says, “Do not touch me.” But it actually means do not keep on touching me or do not keep on clinging to me. Are y’all with me on that? So, what that means is she jumped on him like white on rice.
And he’s like, “Look, I can’t just stay here and hug with you. I have to go see the Father.” Right on. So, she’s clinging to him. Now, remember, whenever Jesus was first born into the womb, was first born into the world, as he came from the womb, there was a woman by the name of Mary that clung to him.
And as soon as Jesus was born again and resurrected, there was a woman outside the tomb that clings to him. It’s incredible, isn’t it? So he said, “I need you to go and tell the disciples, hey, go and tell him this. I’m ascending to My Father and your Father and to My God and your God.” He’s like, “Listen, we’re all in this thing together.” That’s what He says. So Mary Magdalene came out and she told the disciples that she had seen the Lord and that He had spoken these things to her.
Wait, stop. Who was the first preacher of the resurrection of Jesus Christ? But no, come on. It had to be somebody else because we don’t allow women to preach in churches. See, women are not allowed to preach in most churches, but women are allowed to preach in a Jesus church.
Let’s go and just tell. While men will not hire women or work with women to spread the gospel, Jesus does.” …….

COMMENTARY FOR MATTHEW 28:18
Christ’s resurrection. (1-8) He appears to the women. (9,10) Confession of the soldiers. (11-15) Christ’s commission to his disciples. (16-20)
16-20 This evangelist passes over other appearances of Christ, recorded by Luke and John, and hastens to the most solemn; one appointed before his death, and after his resurrection. All that see the Lord Jesus with an eye of faith, will worship him. Yet the faith of the sincere may be very weak and wavering. But Christ gave such convincing proofs of his resurrection, as made their faith to triumph over doubts. He now solemnly commissioned the apostles and his ministers to go forth among all nations. The salvation they were to preach, is a common salvation; whoever will, let him come, and take the benefit; all are welcome to Christ Jesus. Christianity is the religion of a sinner who applies for salvation from deserved wrath and from sin; he applies to the mercy of the Father, through the atonement of the incarnate Son, and by the sanctification of the Holy Spirit, and gives up himself to be the worshipper and servant of God, as the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, three Persons but one God, in all his ordinances and commandments. Baptism is an outward sign of that inward washing, or sanctification of the Spirit, which seals and evidences the believer’s justification. Let us examine ourselves, whether we really possess the inward and spiritual grace of a death unto sin, and a new birth unto righteousness, by which those who were the children of wrath become the children of God. Believers shall have the constant presence of their Lord always; all days, every day. There is no day, no hour of the day, in which our Lord Jesus is not present with his churches and with his ministers; if there were, in that day, that hour, they would be undone. The God of Israel, the Saviour, is sometimes a God that hideth himself, but never a God at a distance. To these precious words Amen is added. Even so, Lord Jesus, be thou with us and all thy people; cause thy face to shine upon us, that thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Sit Rep- – I was not able to get my ID today as hoped, DPS would not except my birth certificate, I was not able to prove residency and there also is a stipulation that you most have lived in the state for 30 days. The good news is that I talked with my Endeavors case worker and he has already found me an apartment to live in and he has told me I would be out of the shelter and moved in by some time next week, I just have to wait for the paperwork to be processed. He has told me that they will help me get a new birth certificate and that with a signed and notarized affidavit from Endeavors once moved in, I will be able to get my state ID.
I went to the VA for blood work, I filled a jar for them and then went to Vocational Rehabilitation but the individual with whom I needed to speak with was not there today. Tomorrow I have my first appointment with my primary physician and I will go early to try again with them. I am quite surprised how fast things are progressing, when I went to Denver to work there for the summer seven years ago it took me 2 months to see my primary physician.

I can’t say why everything is happening so fast but one does not look a gift horse in the mouth. Everyday I find another reason why I should stay here and if I find a decent paying job I will most definitely be making McAllen Texas my next permanent residence. I also found out today that the landlord will allow pets so I see a new puppy in my near future, I so miss my dog Trouble, it’s been several months and I still tear up when I think of her.
Evening Prayer For Forgiveness
Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.
Give me a good night’s sleep I pray, knowing that there is no condemnation because I am in Christ, and may I wake up in the morning refreshed and ready to do Your will. In Jesus’ name I pray,

Evening Prayer For Future Guidance
Heavenly Father, as I lie down to sleep tonight, I pray that You would guard my sleeping and protect my mind from wandering thoughts and unnecessary planning. Teach me to wait for Your perfect timing and not to try to plan my future in my own strength.
Lord, I know that You have scheduled every day of my life. Help me to trust You in all things and rely on You to lead me along the straight path and guide me in the direction that You would have me to go.
Give me patience to wait for Your perfect timing, and may I not trust in my own abilities and scheming, but rather rest in Your love and trust my future into Your hands.
And so now Lord, I commit this night to you, asking that I would rest soundly and wake refreshed and strong to do Your bidding. This I ask in Jesus’ precious name,

Praise Your holy name Heavenly Father, for granting yet another day in my life and for being with me every step of the way. Thank You for the many blessings that You have provided and the love and fellowship that I have with the friends and family that in Your grace You have placed in my life.
My heart is so thankful for all the many blessings that I enjoy day by day, and today I am once again reminded that Your mercies are new every morning and Your faithfulness endures from generation to generation.
Thank You, that I have been brought into Your family and have been made a child of God and a citizen of heaven. Words cannot express my love and devotion to You Lord
I pray that You would watch over me as I rest tonight, and that You would give me a restful nights sleep so that I may wake up in the morning refreshed in body and spirit and ready to do Your will. The Parable of the Sower
Luke 8:4-15 KJV: “And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable: A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. The Nature of the Word Spoken Here
This Gospel treats of the disciples and the fruits, which the Word of God develops in the world. It does not speak of the law nor of human institutions; but, as Christ himself says, of the Word of God, which he himself the sower preaches, for the law bears no fruit, just as little as do the institutions of men. Christ however sets forth here four kinds of disciples of the divine Word.
-The first class of disciples are those who hear the Word but neither understand nor esteem it.
-The second class of hearers are those who receive the Word with joy, but they do not persevere.
-The third class are those who hear and understand the Word, but still it falls on the other side of the road, among the pleasures and cares of this life, so that they also do nothing with the Word.
-The fourth class are those who lay hold of and keep the Word in a good and honest heart, and bring forth fruit with patience, those who hear the Word and steadfastly retain it, meditate upon it and act in harmony with it.
