After the “Bomb them to the stone age” discourse, so incompatible with the Christian spirit and religion… to deliver this one, what a display of sameless hypocrisy.
Iran war was never a good idea, and everybody not completely brainwashed knows this now.
As a Christian I have no problem praising Jesus as our risen savior and wanting to bomb into the Stone Age radical extremists who want to kill all Christians or convert them to Islam. I don’t see a hypocrisy at all. Pope Leo should remember the crusades next time he wants to comment about what we’re doing there.

I couldn’t disagree with you more. Have you read the Old Testament of the Bible? Our God is a God of love and mercy, but He is also a God of justice. God did not mince words when He commanded the Israelites to go to war on their enemies and kill all the men, women, children and even animals. I guess another way to say that is “Bomb them to the Stone Age.” In a way, it is how Trump defines America’s relationship with those who seek our harm – “Peace through Strength.”
How many years have they been chanting “Death to America!”, on the streets, in their government, in their places of worship (if you can call them that).
When your enemy says he will kill you, believe him.

My great grandfather was beheaded by Islamic people and my grandfather died in the Armenian Genocide. They are murderers and it is not the Christian spirit to let innocents all over the world be slaughtered. The Iranian people want to get out from the yoke of Islam. the nation of Iran under the Mullahs has threatened the globe by its reckless support of terrorism. If you have a vicious rabid dog in your backyard, do you just pet it. Thank God a leader had the courage to end the threat.

Tonight’s The Night!!!!
Jesus Christ was crucified the morning of Passover preparation and arose from the tomb on the morning of the first day of the week.
If Jesus Christ was crucified this year, 2026, the timeline would match exactly the timeline of his sacrifice as the Passover lamb.
Jesus was presented to Pilate in the early morning of the day of Passover preparation where the feast would occur that evening. This year the date was Wednesday, April 1.
{Bear in mind that a Jewish 24-hour day is from 6 pm the prior evening to 6 pm the next day, so Passover would start at 6 pm Tuesday, March 31}
Jesus was nailed to the cross Wednesday morning and about three hours later, he gave up his spirit back to God. Jesus was taken down from the cross before the Passover feast, wrapped in spiced linen and placed in a new tomb.
His soul, bearing the sins of the world descended to the center of the earth, the bowels of hell, to deposit those sins into that boiling, wretched environment.
After speaking to the damned, the soul of Jesus crossed out of hell into Abraham’s Bosom, otherwise known as Paradise. The souls of the Old Testament Saints from the time of Abel unto the crucifixion were waiting for Jesus to ‘take the captives captive’ by drawing them up with him as he ascended, as is written in scripture.
Mary Magdelene discovered the tomb empty early on the first day of the week. That is Sunday for everybody. Jesus presented himself to her and then ascended to the Throne of God.
Three nights: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Three days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Jesus Christ arose from the dead, uncorrupted and eternal, Saturday night the beginning of the first day of the Jewish week. Jesus, being a Jew, would be on that calendar.
It is not possible to fit three nights and three days into a crucifixion that occurs on Friday and resurrection on Sunday.
PS Some of the dead saints celebrated by coming out of their graves and walking into Jerusalem Saturday night………………..What a party!

I have to respectfully disagree. Our Thursday sunset to Friday sunset is the day Zechariah prophesied (3:9) “I will remove the sin of this land in a single day.” It was also Passover. Preparation day was preparation for the Sabbath. The disciples prepared the upper room for the Passover meal Thursday afternoon, the day before Passover which began at sunset. The first thing Jesus did that Passover evening was to eat the Passover meal and everything else recorded in the upper room. Then he went out to become our Passover Lamb. Jesus removed the sin of the world in one day, rested on the Sabbath, (reminds one of Genesis) and rose on the third day, sometime between Saturday sunset and Sunday morning. Remember, the chief priests would not go into Pilate’s palace because they wanted to eat the Passover. Also, the legs were broken to ensure death and removal before the Sabbath. Then on the Sabbath, the chief priests did go to Pilate to get the tomb guarded before the third day. Almost as hypocritical as refusing to put the 30 pieces of silver back into the Temple treasury because is was blood money. They could spend it, but couldn’t take it back.
I respectfully disagree with your assessment. Zechariah was not prophesying concerning the crucifixion. The death of Jesus Christ on the cross was not the expungement of earthly sin. It was the beginning of the opportunity for all humans to accept his blood sacrifice by submitting to him as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. This is done by asking Jesus to forgive the sinful nature of the person in a personal relationship with Him as the risen savior. The curse of Adam concerning the earth won’t be lifted until He returns again at the Second Advent. He does this in the land of Israel and he enters Jerusalem to sit on the throne of David during the Millennium.
I don’t doubt the reference to Passover in Zechariah. But the Passover in which Jesus Christ was crucified started on a Tuesday at 6 pm and concluded Wednesday at 6 pm. The Passover is not a Western tradition and the dates change from year to year because Jews have a thirty day lunar calendar. It falls on a different day from year to year.
Roman time which is still observed by non-Jews today goes from midnight to midnight. Every new day for Western society starts at one second after midnight.
Many Christians today observing the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, believe he died after midnight Friday morning.
Using that formula it looks like this:
Death of Jesus Christ: Friday morning
He descends to hell: Friday night and Saturday night
Days spent in hell and Paradise: Saturday
Resurrection: Sunday morning
Mathematically speaking there are not three nights and three days compressed into this time frame.
Fulfilling scripture, the legs of Jesus were not broken because he had already died.

I just came home from watching a powerful movie, A Great Awakening, how wonderful it was to hear George Whitefield also proclaiming Jesus Christ. The movie traces the relationship that Whitefield had with Benjamin Franklin and how that led to Franklin’s most important contribution to the U.S. Constitution that produced the Liberty Americans have known for centuries. The Liberty that is granted by God and not by government. Highly recommended movie!!
