President Trump left the Shield of Americas Summit in order to travel to Delaware to honor the six American soldiers killed at the start of Operation Epic Fury last week. During the dignified transfer ceremony, President Trump will be meeting with the families of the fallen soldiers paying his respects.
Remaining at the summit, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, soon to be Special Envoy Noem, are scheduled to deliver remarks to the Shield of Americas Summit audience in Doral Florida. The anticipated start time is 12:30pm ET with livestream links below:

Anyone who needed a hunting/birding/etc. dog on a ranch/farm that didn’t go after/kill chickens/poultry/livestock…my kids…on my property, and by the way, I’m in my right mind! I love dogs/cats/etc., but if I had them for a specfic work reason (and obviously you’ve never lived outside the city/urban areas), to do a job on my farm/ranch and weren’t just my “pets” (sit on my lap, lay by my side, walk with me… I have two Sheltie rescues in the suburbs, so don’t go there….). Not a South Dakotan anymore (I was born and raised there, however), I thought Noem did a good job for SD. Yes, there were controversies, but I think she did a good job (even getting rid of animals who threatened others). Would I have written it in a book…doubtful; truthful, yes. Unless you’ve lived on a farm/ranch, you can have every opinion you want, but you weren’t there.

Have you ever had to put an animal down due to how they behave ? If you have tried to train them not to go after other animals and kids and they go after other animals, should she have waited until it went after a kid? About the goat, I too put one down that was over aggressive towards protecting his herd. After being butted by him 5 times and him fighting with me when I went to feed him. Thing is we put him down and butchered him up. Homesteading is very different than most people think. Yes you need to think about the welfare and care of the animals and also about you and your family. If the animal attacks other animals it will not be long before it attacks people. The goat was a case in point. He had gone after the younger goats a few times and I thought oh he is only playing but then he came after me and I knew he was not playing at all any more. Was it our fault, possibly because we had let him run with the girls at times, but aggressive animals do need to be put down. We did not make that mistake with our next buck, he stay in his pen all the time unless I was walking him which was seldom. But he did get more scratches and hugs and liked to eat apples also. A lot who have not lived it do not understand it. The fact she put it in her book means to me that it affected her also and to let others know that it sometimes happens that way.
Farm life is filled with problems to be solved and some of them are not pleasant. Animals that harm people or other stock have to be dealt with. I don’t fault her for that. She would be out of her right mind if she ignored what these animals were doing.

I had a fairly low opinion of Special Envoy Noem when she was a governor. I certainly wasn’t excited about her being appointed to DHS Secretary.
She proved me wrong. Secretary Noem did a good job with DHS so President Trump is expanding her responsibilities to the entirety of the Western Hemisphere.
Sundance has written about the importance of special envoys. It’s encouraging that President Trump is entrusting Special Envoy Noem with such an important role.

President Trump is on a mission and keeps his promises so maybe many things, like deports aren’t happening fast enough, etc., but we believe, no matter what, he is putting the best in place to keep his promises to us.

The concept of ads to stop illegal immigration was discussed when she interviewed for the dhs job. The ads went to many countries in their own languages ans and stressed that illegal entry meant go away and never come back. They were very effective in stopping caravans and encouraging self deportation.
