House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has issued a series of subpoenas for records and testimony from former government officials that pertain to Jeffrey Epstein.

WASHINGTON DC – The House Oversight Committee on Tuesday issued subpoenas for Department of Justice records on the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, as well as for interviews with a slate of former government officials in connection to the case.
Oversight Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) announced that he was summoning nearly a dozen former officials to appear for depositions on the Epstein investigation — a list that includes former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Comer was required to send the subpoenas after a Democratic-led subcommittee vote in July.
The move is the latest in a broader battle over the Epstein files, which took the Trump administration by storm last month as anger boiled over from within MAGA circles about the administration’s handling of the case. (read more)

Comer and crew should understand that the real focus should be on the “Russkie Hoax” and the main players there. The Epstein story is currently a distraction and deflection, and the real focus needs to be on the Russkie Hoax” and the players in that conspiracy. Also there was an excellent article from Waune Root about the role of Jeff Sessions, and the resultant follies from Rosentain and Mueller. IMESHO, Sessions should be subpoenaed so that he can say “Fifth Amendment” 100 times.

I don’t think it was Comey initially. The FBI Director at the time would have been Robert Mueller.

I disagree. Congress is where both sides can throw bombs at each other with zero consequences. Let the DOJ and the GJ issue indictments and see actual justice carried out if possible on Russia.
Other RINO’s seemed to be sure Trump was named as a perp in the Epstein files. Let Congress hold their circus on that publicly.
Hammer those at the top who were either involved with Epstein, or should have acted to uphold any laws. If any evidence was tampered with, let that become public as well. Make referrals to the DOJ as needed, but make it clear right up to the mid-terms and beyond, the Democrats clamored for the files. Give it to them good and hard.
I would rather see Epstein’s johns jailed for what they have done, but at this late point with the crooks involved in covering for him, I see no chance of that happening.
If Congress wants to harrumph about Russia after the DOJ gets done, they can do so all they want.
I value your comments and they have merit. However, I still feel that the Republic has the greatest need to know about the attempted sedition against President Trump during his first term, and the breadth of support within the IC, the Uniparty, and the Deep State. Just by a quick glance at those allegedly involved, I feel that the depth and breadth of corruption there is the real threat to this nation. I believe that the impact from that alleged conspiracy is still the greatest threat.
I do concur that the “Epstein Files”, or whatever “evidence” exists today, will reveal further attempts to compromise weak, dishonorable political “players”, however, I believe that will only serve to distract from the more important impact of any attempted sedition.
There are three final points that I would like to make.
Keep the “Russkie Hoax investigation” alive, and in the presence of the public. As noted by others, the media is trying to bury the extent of their lives and support for the “Hoax”. Make the public aware of the deception from the media. Definitely include testimony from Jeff Sessions in that investigation.Bring the investigations and potential indictments to a crescendo just before the Midterms. The charges against Epstein were filed by the Palm Beach State Attorney a Democrat. Epstein plead guilty to the state charges agreeing to several years in prison but the Democrat state court judge gave him probation! Acosta
agreed to the guilty plea because Epstein was going to prison.
No one then asked Acosta the obvious next question after he testified that Epstein was part of ‘intelligence’ and above his pay grade. Any lawyer (as many congresscritters are trained) and indeed, anyone with a scintilla of curiosity, would ask:

This advice, or command, was part of his public job as government prosecutor, not a clandestine operation of some sort. Its difficult to contend the answer would be ‘classified secret’ for national security. But no congresscritter had the slightest bit of curiosity to ask “who”. I watched Tucker Carlson’s interview of Darryl Cooper. In that interview, Darryl asks Tucker who could have pressured Acosta to make that deal? I am sure he knew the answer to his question; however, he never mentioned any names. That prompted me to do some basic searches on the characters mentioned in the interview.
Keep in mind, Darryl asserted that Jeffrey was the “fixer”, “money launder” for Iran Contra. Who was running Iran Contra? G. H. W. Bush. Bush hired Bill “Fat Bastard” Barr as his AG to “clean up” Iran Contra. Fast forward to 2005, the Palm Beach Police chief opens an investigation that is stymied over the course of a year. Jeb Bush happened to be the Governor of FL. and Charlie Crist was the AG. Of course, Shrub was the President and GHWB was alive at the time. Alex Acosta left the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ to become the U.S. Attorney for the SD of Florida about 3 months after the investigation is opened in Palm Beach.

The house should be working on a budget. Instead, they’ll ram a CR down our throats in late September after 6 weeks of vacation, that is still 90% Nancy Pelosi’s spending priorities. The pretense that the U.S. still governs itself, or is even still capable of self government grows tiresome.

Girls were hired to give Epstein massages, because he used massages for sexual release 3 times a day. Maxwell couldn’t keep up with Epstein’s sick obsession, so she started hiring girls and then those girls would recruit other girls. The girls would get paid $200 to $300 per massage. Many girls testified that they went back to give Epstein more massages because the money was good. I’m guessing that there probably aren’t a lot of files to release because the underage girls testimony is in the 943 pages. Virginia Giuffre’s testimony is in those 943 pages also, she was recruited by Maxwell at age 17 when she worked at the Mar-A-Largo Spa as a locker attendant. Virginia said Maxwell approached her when she saw that she was reading a book about massage. There are no long lists of men, the girls testified to that, however Virginia Giuffre does give the names of the men she claims that she was “trafficked” to and no Trump is on the list. Anyone would be crazy to think he was.
