Information is generally sketchy, however it is being widely reported about a mass shooting in downtown New York that has killed a NYPD police officer working security at a Midtown skyscraper – at least two other civilians were shot.
NEW YORK – A police officer was shot and killed when a crazed gunman wearing a bulletproof vest stormed a swanky Midtown skyscraper Monday, injuring at least two other people — before turning the gun on himself, sources said.
The man entered the 44-story building — which houses Blackstone and the NFL headquarters — armed with a rifle and opened fire at around 6:30 p.m., law enforcement sources told The Post.
At least one police officer was shot at the scene and is in critical condition. Two civilians were also struck by gunfire — one of which is also in critical condition, sources said.
The suspect barricaded himself inside and was found dead from a gun-inflicted gunshot wound on the 33rd floor, sources said. (read more)

It is plain to me Sundance is sticking to his reporting.
Knowing his mantra, truth has no agenda, he put the truth out there early on.
Officials had ample time to delay obfuscate and manipulate. The first press conference was 10:25. Enough time to tighten up the storyline.
Some people found it odd that in the heart of Manhattan at 6:30 the gunman was photographed walking alone on a plaza with an AR at his side drawing no notice.
A bullet proof vest doesn’t protect his head. With the vest and an open display of. A weapon it was clear what his intent was. No cops in the vicinity.
That witness who heard a man shout Free Palestine! and wore keffiya fabric on his face, then claimed he wasn’t the shooter and his female companion who was manhandled on video were memory holed, eh? They were released never to be identified or heard from again?
Who were those people? I’d like to hear more from the witness as well.

Although the perpetrator’s motive has yet to be conclusively determined, the location of the shooting was the #5 target on a list first distributed by “Globalize the Intifada” activists in November 2023.
He was wearing a shirt with the “Palestinian” flag (similar to the flag of Jordan) on it.
The list was posted by WOL Palestine (Within Our Lifetime). The same pro-Hamas organization that “protests” every single week in NYC. They were also heavily involved in the college encampments in April of 2024.

After reading 2 pages of posts here I have a suggestion.
All who posted their speculations here should go back and read how far off into the wilderness they are.
The killer had a beef with the NFL, had mental problems and drove the BMW from Vegas to NYC to shoot someone at the NFL headquarters. He is not white or middle eastern he is Japanese and Black. He was not wearing a mask or shouting Free Palestine, he was not a Mason.
This is an indictment of speculation on subjects that we don’t have first-hand knowledge of. This “Sky has fallen!” approach has to stop or this site will be ruined.

A bullet proof vest is very bulky. It is clear in the photo that the shooter’s “bulk” is not consistent with the bulk of a bullet proof vest.
On a different topic, a retired NY police captain kept referring to the rifle as a “machine gun”… there are no easily discernible features in the photo that would enable that conclusion. Clearly he is another misinformed “official” spouting off about something he is clearly unfamiliar with.
What happened to the phone that was dropped when the cops were taking the woman into custody? Why was she taken into custody?
Almost everything about this “smells”…
