The New York Post is sharing statements from Ghislaine Maxwell’s attorney following a second day of DOJ interviews with his client.
However, I would be very cautious with anything said by Ms. Maxwell or her attorney David Oscar Markus. Both are prone to sensationalism as a legal strategy.
(NYP) – Notorious sex criminal Ghislaine Maxwell answered questions from Justice Department officials about “100 different people” linked to late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, an attorney for the disgraced socialite claimed Friday following two days of questioning led by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche.
David Oscar Markus told reporters that his client, currently serving a 20-year sentence after being convicted of federal sex trafficking and conspiracy charges in December 2021, was “asked about every possible thing you could imagine – everything.”
“This was the first opportunity she’s ever been given to answer questions about what happened,” Markus added. “The truth will come out about what happened with Mr. Epstein and she’s the person who’s answering those questions.”
Blanche had “every single question” answered during the sitdown, Maxwell’s attorney also said, with the British-born convict declining to plead the Fifth Amendment. (read more)
Remember, Ms Maxwell was factually convicted for her role in sex trafficking of minors specifically for the benefit of her employer, Jeffrey Epstein. Her current incarceration applies to her criminal conduct on behalf of her boss, Mr. Epstein.

That is the lawyer’s professional duty and obligation to any client; to seek the most favorable outcome for their client. What I never understood is why Maxwell wasn’t offered a plea deal to testify against the powerful perpetrators who were ensnared in Epstein’s honeypot. Maxwell knew where all the bodies were buried, and yet she was never asked to implicate others. She was never asked to identify Epstein’s sources of money? She was never asked to identify who exactly Epstein was working for. She was never asked to confirm that Epstein worked for foreign intelligence? For which country? Maxwell was the key to unlocking the many Epstein mysteries!
If offered the opportunity, I am sure Maxwell would have sung like a bird. It does not appear that she was ever presented with the chance of a reduced sentence in exchange for full cooperation.
The chief prosecutor should be asked why no plea deal was proffered to Maxwell. She was arrested on July 2, 2020. Bill Barr was the AG at the time and remained AG until December 2020. The chief prosecutor was Audrey Strauss, who was serving as the Acting U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. Strauss would stay in that position until late 2021, when she would retire. Straus needs to be asked why she didn’t pursue this obvious avenue.
What will Todd Blanche do with this new information? Maxwell identified 100 different potential perpetrators. We should expect to see some indictments coming out of this, right?
Remember, Comey’s daughter and the Southern District of New York handled the prosecution of Ghislaine Maxwell. If you recall, DOJ, who was also trying to get Trump contemporaneously, negotiated months and months with her before electing to charge her.
My suspicion at the time was that they wanted some sort of dirt on Trump, but didn’t get it, so they hammered her.
I also am of the opinion that the evidence against her was more circumstantial and innuendo than fact. The SDNY got a conviction out of it more because Maxwell wasn’t a sympathetic character than facts or evidence.

It could well be that Maxwell’s defense attorneys told her not to pursue a plea deal because they believed chances of acquittal were very good, but given the evidence the state had against her, Maxwell had to know that she was going to be spending a long time in prison so I find it surprising that there was no plea deal considering all the cards Maxwell held then and holds now.
Anyway, it will be interesting to see what Todd Blanche does with this new information regarding about 100 potential perpetrators. The expectation now is that there will be indictments coming forward sometime in the months ahead.
The 100 people is misleading. The lawyer says she answered questions about 100 or more people associated with Epstein. In her trial, her “black book” was shown to jurors but it was stated that it was basically just an address book. That’s why they only released it redacted — names in a book mean nothing without evidence. They may have just run through that list of names and asked what, if any, relationship they have with Epstein.
Which means maybe she did give details on some of those names, but I doubt there’s anything implicating 100 people that she alone could offer. A lawyer for some of the victims says DOJ is still sitting on Epstein residence surveillance tapes and his computer records. There’s probably a lot more to glean from those than from Maxwell, at least in terms of actual evidence of others being involved.
Her trial was clearly structured very narrowly to only involve her role in trafficking girls for Epstein only. That was almost surely done intentionally, probably because people who had that control knew some of the names that might come out if the opened things up to include others involved.
They didn’t pursue anyone because they are all corrupted to the core.
It seems pretty obvious why a plea deal wasn’t offered. Because the names it would have produced were not to come to light. I guess there was an order from above, not to offer one and at the same time have a pound of meat to throw to the dogs. by letting her rot in prison.
Tables have turned though and I think that whatever she told Blanche is being filtered at the moment for its usefulness, to see if it enables a path to indictments and whether it can be trusted. There is a chance though that she didn’t lie in order to leave the possibility for some sort of clemency on the table.
The other possibility is, that she already received some kind of deal, because, opposite to her accomplice, she IS still breathing. That might change though, if she chose to violate that agreement by sharing something she saw in a possible new trial.
If she really knows something that she is willing to offer in exchange for her freedom, she would probably be the hardest to protect witness ever to enter a protection program.

Epstein did work for Bears & Stern. I don’t know about World Bankers. I have read from various sources he worked for the CIA, Mossad, MI-6, and the central banking globalists in the UK. Take your pick. I think more likely he was involved in particular deals at times. Iran contra is one I have read.
He apparently was a math wiz. He gained an expertise in tax shelters and money laundering (without being caught). That is reportedly where he made his money. He apparently was quite smart, sophisticated, and very socially skilled in the ruling class midst. He seems to have known everyone in that rank.

From what I have gathered reading today, the way this works is that the DOJ will take all the information she has provided and determine what if any they are interested in using. Then they would offer her a deal to the effect of testifying or providing evidence in other cases in exchange for lesser or no charges. This is usually done before the trial but they just never even talked to her in her case. Like she became the scapegoat for Epstein since he was dead. This tells me there is nothing in the files against Trump excluding what she might have just provided. They would have gone after him then if there was anything. Most have to be democrats. They would never go after their own so they closed the book.
She apparently got a bad trial. One juror had lied which is enough to have the trial thrown out. They had never talked to her and made any offer which is standard process, and then there is the non-prosecution agreement that was made with Epstein when he was initially charged guaranteeing there would be no prosecutions of any of his co-conspirators. Anyway, they have an appeal that has been turned down and they now have a petition for the Supreme Court to hear her case. That could and should give her a get out of jail card. I think that is what set Bill Cosby free and Jesse Smollette.
I listened to a video of Alan Dershowitz discussing the case today. He said she didn’t receive a fair trial and her sentence of 20 years was very excessive. He said that the usual punishment in such cases is five years and she has almost served that much time already. He also said that some of the girls claiming to have been abused were lying and no one knows better which ones than Maxwell. This gives her a chance to correct their stories.
Personally, I see the woman has certainly already been punished, is now truly confessing of her sins, and she has made reparations to the girls who have sued her. She is the one who can bring truth to this story, the whole truth, and has begun that process. As a Christian, I believe she has earned the right of forgiveness.
