The collapse of pride in America from the Democrats polled is only 36% percent. Compared to Republicans 92% proud to be an American. What a contrast.

I think we girls were in the 5th grade when we were all sent to one of the classrooms that we remembered from the 1st grade – they had a movie projector set up and were able to pull blinds, I think – we weren’t supposed to discuss this with the boys.
No young lady of any class ever chose to talk about menstruation with boys.
That’s why, as such a young lady (we were working poor but proud!) I found a scene in Sidney Poitier’s landmark 1967 film To Sir, With Love extremely distasteful and at the time something of a shock.
One of the teenage girls chose to burn a pad on the schoolroom fire to create a stink and make the boys laugh.
The message of that particular movie was very positive, and Sidney managed to wake her up to her bad behavior.
But overall I now am more aware that film in the sixties pushed the envelope constantly, always in a vulgar direction, and the UK was out in front of Hollyweird.

Yes, I am proud to be an American, even if our government has made grave mistakes and needs to course correct. Hence, Trump. And we only get him for a little while. I feel that a plurality or majority of lefties are just garbage human beings who are slowly being forced to look in the mirror. They do not like what they see but lack the mental fortitude to acknowledge and better themselves. This has led to a hatred/ trashing of America as a last ditch way to project their insecurities onto anything but themselves. To those lefties actively trying to improve themselves..i will still bend over backwards trying to help them. To the rest that continually trash me and society while contributing nothing..i simply cannot stomach them any longer and do not care at all. If God judges me for that, so be it
I see the Dems as being unhappy until they achieve their complete Nanny-State, some version of Marxism/Communism/Fascism or something that they believe will ensure that everyone is taken care of. Equally.
This type of government is inherently at odds with our history, our Constitutional Republic, our carefully designed and chosen system, arrived at laboriously after an eight year war.
So the left can’t be happy until they have changed us from what we are.
Conservatives, by definition, want to conserve what we were blessed to inherit, we have enough sense to know even our flawed system is better than any other man-made system in the history of the world. We want to conserve our republican electoral system, our language, our borders, our sovereignty, our legal system, our heights of art/architecture/education/medicine/dance/music/theater, etc.
We want to conserve western civilization. We’re not happy that it’s being grasped out from under us, but we’re very happy to have been such beneficiaries, and most of us are determined to try to retain what’s left of it.

Saw an on the street interview of random people and one leftist was asked if she felt patriotic. She spouted some gibberish about a stigma attached to that phrase that she did not want attached to her.
Leftists now believe that if they say they are patriotic someone might think they support America or Trump or whatever for God’s sake.
