The collapse of pride in America from the Democrats polled is only 36% percent. Compared to Republicans 92% proud to be an American. What a contrast.

Stunning, but not particularly surprising.
I’m surprised the 36% of democrats that are proud of America haven’t already left the democrat party.
They’re like the siblings of my best friend. Dad was a Democrat, mom was a Democrat, we’re Democrats. My friend is the only one of 9 who walked away.
Both of my late parents were in their 80s before they flipped republican. The disaster named 0bama was responsible. My mom also started listening to Rush.
I would not be surprised if some of them just stay in that party for external appearance to others, but vote (R) when no one is looking.
We now know who has bought the lies!!!

While those percentages are telling a more valid question for Democrats might be “Do you have any sense of self awareness”? Anyone actually claiming to be a Democrat has to be either a brain dead leftist or a moron. The actual percentage of Americans who support butchering little kids and claiming they don’t know a difference between males and females etc etc is likely very small.

Your post really hit home with me. I was lucky enough for God to bless me being born in these United States with a Mom and Dad who loved me and my brother.
I woke up the other day wondering who I would have been if I was born in a third world country striving to get food and water just to survive.
It makes you humble thinking about these things. I think our President Trump thinks about these things as well even though he was raised with a silver spoon because he wants EVERYONE to have a chance to succeed.
I truly believe God saved his life (more than we can imagine) for the task he’s been given and I’m not what you call a holy roller.

I was there and it was a day I will never forget…..NOR REGRET.
May those that were incarcerated get the justifiable retribution that they truly deserve.
My husband, me and three other oldies were there too, Thor III, and you are right — it was a day and time we will never forget or regret.
We waited four years for black, unmarked vehicles to drive up our driveway, or for our frontdoor to be broken down in the middle of the night, just for attending President Trump’s rally. We did not live in fear, just in the perverse reality of what could happen.
During those four years I’d search January 6th photos online to see if I could find any of the people I knew in those pictures. Never saw anyone I knew, and then, a couple weeks after the 2024 election and knowing President Trump would once again hold the office of the President (we all know he won all three elections), I found a photo that showed two of the five people who attended the rally together. One of those people was/is me.
For a moment I freaked out seeing myself in the main photo of an article about the January 6th Committee Hearing. Why would I freak out at that point in time? President Trump won.
But that moment of panic turned into a moment of, as you said, never forgetting — we were there.

I too got a bit edgy when I’d hear or see a strange vehicle slowly passing by the house. I read about how you should respond if the FB Lie showed up but as I thought about how evil that J6 committee was I would get this bad feeling that I would do something not very nice to them if they tried to haul me away.
The lucky part for us is that we weren’t targeted and the memories, the spirit of fighting for our rights by protesting LEGALLY and UNARMED and the camaraderie of all those Patriots there that day will never be forgotten.
My Gadsden flag that I waved at the rally was getting tattered and torn as it flew in front of my house after J6 so I bought a new one, folded up the original and it sits on my dresser as a reminder of that day.
Getting President Trump back in office (after the stolen election as you correctly stated) was a significant event that gave me some sense of retribution.
Seeing the successes that President Trump and his team are having and the true patriotism that I’m seeing recently brings joy to my heart.

That was a marvelous, thrilling, joyful time for sure.
Being in D.C. and surrounded by patriots who love the United States and President Trump felt like a breath of fresh air — and FREEDOM. But less than 24 hours later, while driving back to Minnesota, a friend deep in Minnesota politics called and told us that our Attorney General, Keith Ellison, said he’d be looking for “us” and charge us to the fullest extent of the law.

The use of the word “PRIDE” instead of “Proud to be an American” in the picture posted from CNN caught my attention for some reason. Usually we say “Proud” to be an American. Not sure “Pride to be an American” is correct grammatically, either. Sigmon Freud might have had a comment.

I have been thinking recently about just how hateful and divisive politics has become; especially on the Leftist side of the fence.
Seems to me it was common at one point for Democrats and Republicans to work together toward the common good of the country; finding common ground. Don’t remember exactly when things began to change, since I wasn’t all that interested in politics until the differences became too blatant to miss.
I remember the anger and the angst against President Bush over the Iraq invasion; and Democrats becoming very hostile and mean. It’s also then that it began to occur to me that we were not being told the truth. Once I got over the shock of 9-11, I realized that the stories of the events of 9-11 didn’t make sense.
Buildings melted, but passports off a plane land intact in the dust in the streets; the total disappearance of the Pentagon plane, the collapse of Tower 7 – just didn’t make sense; still doesn’t. Just too many inconsistencies.
The malevolence embodied in the form of Barry Sotero and his “wife” Michelle; vicious and nasty, disrespect for the office, for the responsibilities, degenerate friends and parties in the White House. Eric Holder’s Fast and Furious, the BP Oil Spill, ruining Arthur Anderson, Benghazi, and on and on and on.
That’s when it seemed the Democrats started heading off the deep end; not making sense and filled with hate and anger. When President Trump showed up, the vitriol was shocking.
The corruption and moral depravity invited into the highest forms of government under Joe Biden may have been the most heinous, disgusting and vicious this country has ever experienced.
It feels as though civility, decorum, respect for our heritage, Christianity, for Western Civilization itself is under attack. What is so very sad is to see how people have been brainwashed, manipulated and encouraged to engage in self-destruction, and I’m not sure they even are aware that they are nothing more than useful tools that will be discarded when their usefulness is over.

Back in 2018, during his re-election campaign for New York governor, Andrew Cuomo said that “America was never really that great” . . .
I think that was supposed to be some sort of zinger from Cuomo, against President Trump but it fell flat, IMHO – nevermind, it did not cost him the election – I had thought it would!
Now we see the upcoming New York Mayor’s race going into the general in November . . . just this week, Rev. Al Sharpton advised Anderw Cuomo to drop out of the race, give Eric Adams a chance to win against Zohran Mamdani.
I was in the apparently unrealistic hope that Eric Adams and Curtis Sliwa would team up to back Andrew Cuomo and that Rudy Giuliani would also join Eric and Curtis to help Andrew win . . . that was met with some pretty disgusted responses in various places!
I hoped that Andrew’s speech about the new “A-Team” formed to win against Mamdani in November would refer to his 2018 speech about America never being that great – that he knows that New York WAS great and that he wants it to be great again, so that would be a tip of the hat to President Trump and MAGA voters. I got yelled at for that, learning that Curtis Sliwa “hates Trump’s guts”.
I don’t know WHY exactly Curtis Sliwa hates President Trump so much – but couldn’t he and ALL of them get together to fight for New York City? Don’t they see the ultimate result of fractionation? I don’t know if there is already such a term – fractionation – for this kind of an instance; if not, then I just coined it . 🙂
Does anyone remember the “Crowned Heads of Europe”? Nobody could get them sufficiently organized to whip the Ottoman Empire that was now in Vienna, getting ready to run over Europe. There had been two efforts to push back but those efforts had failed.
