Israel Update:
-The IDF is moving slowly in Gaza.  Still a lot of bombardments specially in Khan Yunis.  About 80-100 killed there per day.  There is a perception that Hamas is in deep trouble after we took out their last leadership and attacked their financial system.  

Now the new aid distribution centers started to work, at least one. We are yet to know how workable it will be.  Hamas published a warning to not use the aid because it “helps the enemy and undermines the UN”.  Voices in the Palestinian community in the West Bank are against the statement.  How can they complain about hunger and demand the population not to take the aid?  I don’t think that the statement will work.  People are happy to pick up their weekly box of supplies for the family.  

A report that Trump is starting to pressure Israel to end the war.  I don’t know how significant it is?  There is a perception that the IDF is planning on a hostage deal and therefore is moving very slowly.  The plus is that we have almost no casualties.  

There are some protests in Gaza against Hamas.  From what I understand Israel is intentionally stirring the protests against Hamas as a strategic move.  

The talk is about a partial deal of 10 soldiers for two months and many terrorists released from prisons.  At this point we want it.  We have 20 alive and 10 would be great.  
Going into a pattern of the IDF demolishing everything they have and grinding them and killing them until they release hostages and then the circle begins again is no longer workable for them. So they resist but how long can they resist? They have no might to withstand the pressure, the only thing they have is the international pressure.  If Trump will back us up this can go the way we want it to go.  Witkoff so far is OK and is aligned with Israel on the demand.  Hamas is demanding an end of war with International guaranties.  Israel will never let them stay in power.  So far the US understands.  

-Sudan with a population of 50 millions received only 1,277 trucks in two years of a brutal war.  In this time over 500,000 children under the age of 5 have died of starvation or malnutrition.   In contrast in Gaza the population is about 2 millions, they received 25,200 aid trucks in the past 18 months and there are some 10,000 trucks reportedly waiting to get in.  
So Gaza received 20 times more trucks while having 25 times less people.  
What do you learn from this, considering the amount of media, hate and protest against Israel?  By the way no one died of starvation in Gaza.  

-Kristi Noam (Homeland Security) in Israel: “The Iranians received a very short deadline, it’s a matter of days.  I asked Prime Minister Netanyahu to cooperate with as so that we take wise decisions together”.   Note: Maybe this is why Trump sent her to Israel?  Does it mean that Trump is heading to a deal that enables them to keep the centrifuges intact?  There was a report about a disagreement on the matter which I can’t confirm.  I hope not.  Keeping the centrifuges intact will make it necessary for israel to attack it sooner or later.   We may gain time but not resolve the problem.  The level of hate of the Iranian regime to Israel is an existential threat.  

-An Israeli ground force with some soldiers and vehicles went into a town in South Lebanon in a search for something.  We don’t know why?   I am reporting that the fact that this was even possible without resistance means that we have a new formula.  We can drive in and take care of things when necessary.  Similar to the situation in the West Bank (Judea and Samaria).  Before the war this would have been a suicide mission.  

-An Egyptian Official to Sky News: “135,000 Gazans already left Gaza to Egypt.” 
This adds to some 54,000 killed which means 10% of the population are not there.  
Note that many with money fled to Egypt when the Rafah crossing was full of tunnels to Egypt.  Many who left to Egypt are no longer in Egypt.  

-The government approved a Reservist call-in of up to 450,000 soldiers until the 31 of Aug.  This is highest ever.  I don’t think they will all be called simultaneously, there is also an aspect of pressuring Hamas.  They can guess what will happen if they continue to be stubborn.

Good morning all.

My big flag is down and my 3′ x 5′ is up again. I had to fool with it 4 times the last two days because the clips hold their place on the polypro rope lanyard by friction and when the wind kicks up they start sliding together. That large of flag is just too heavy for the system. It sure looked beautiful though when it was flying right.

But I have a fix for next time. I’ve got some small zip ties and next time I fly that big flag I’ll rig it so it can’t slip by zip tying the rope in a loop so it can’t slide through the swivel on the clip. When it comes time to take it down I’ll just cut the zip ties.

COMMENTARY FOR COLOSSIANS 3

“The Colossians exhorted to be heavenly-minded; (1-4) to mortify all corrupt affections; (5-11) to live in mutual love, forbearance, and forgiveness; (12-17) and to practise the duties of wives and husbands, children, parents, and servants. (18-25)1-4 As Christians are freed from the ceremonial law, they must walk the more closely with God in gospel obedience. As heaven and earth are contrary one to the other, both cannot be followed together; and affection to the one will weaken and abate affection to the other. Those that are born again are dead to sin, because its dominion is broken, its power gradually subdued by the operation of grace, and it shall at length be extinguished by the perfection of glory. To be dead, then, means this, that those who have the Holy Spirit, mortifying within them the lusts of the flesh, are able to despise earthly things, and to desire those that are heavenly. Christ is, at present, one whom we have not seen; but our comfort is, that our life is safe with him. WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me. 

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

OK, I’m an old guy with a cat living in the forest and I have a question…

Does anyone have a cat that requests or requires grooming as an appetite stimulator?

I have a mix of Siamese and tabby, called a colorpoint shorthair, that confounds me, having owned many cats over the decades.

Siamese like to talk and she’ll whine numerous tunes until I start grooming her with the furminator, then she’ll start purring and move to her food dish and start eating while purring, while I continue to groom her. After awhile, I can stop and she continues eating. I moved her dish up onto the counter to make this easier on me.

Otherwise, she’ll stare at the full food dish and whine. Well, I call it whining anyway. She also barks like a dog and chirps like a bird.

Strangest thing I ever did see.

Healing Hand, as I lay in my bed this evening, I pray for Your restorative power to touch my life. Mend what has been broken, soothe what has been hurt, and heal what has been wounded. May I find in sleep the healing that my body and spirit need and wake to a day of renewed health and vitality. Amen.

Evening Prayer for Wholeness
