This does not compute….the Episcopal Church in my home town (which I just left) has opened their church to every pervert imaginable but they don’t want white South African farmers? That area is farming area too…perfect for South African farmers (NE NC). SMH.
They hired a pastor from Honduras too. Nobody can understand what he is saying. Never did make any sense to me.
They’re probably setting up an underground “importation service.”
A large number of denominations have been infiltrated and are now of the world, not of God. It’s why so many denominations have splintered – one tries to stay true to God, the other descends into the pit. Others simply descend, lock, stock, and barrel.
I watched it happen – a church that was for years one of the best I’ve known turned into one of the worst I’ve known in a little over a year as a result of a pastor change. Last I heard over 2/3rds of the congregation had left as a result.
There may be some things I don’t know about the Baptist Church but it seems like that is the only faith that has stayed true to God. I do know they had an NGO too but not much has been said about them.
In the hometown I left, the Baptist Church was the only one which was thriving while the Presbyterian, Methodist and Catholic closed their doors for lack of participation.
To be honest, the Episcopal Church as a religious denomination is pretty much dead. It’s now a social club for leftists and leftism is a much bigger religion to those people.
And they are all self righteous too. Holier than thou. I should know….my brother and SIL are in that congregation. I was the subject of their ridicule because I didn’t think like them. I went to one service with them and when I got home, I felt like somebody had knocked the props from under me. I thought…what have I done. Moving back home was a big mistake.
But still swallow the cash, as you’d expect.
Jesus went to the temple while excoriating the scribes and Pharisees. As far as I have read He never told his disciples to stop going to temple.
As is normal during this time of year, the Acts of the apostles has passages that in my opinion suggest Christians to still attend churches which are not too bad.
Acts 13-14 verses 43-52.
Of course, at some point the apostles had to have stopped attending the synagogue/temple and create their own…the first reformation. That is why I am looking for other charities besides the church to which to donate.

She (my daughter) didn’t have the opportunity to ask her under what circumstances she got here, obviously the woman had been here a while if she already got a job.

I’ve known several people who have moved here, and become permanent residents, and citizen in one case, after leaving South Africa.
This is the first I’ve heard of a South African in my area.
It would be nice to get some of them instead of Guatemalans and other fake refugees.
These people have lost everything that they and their families have worked for. They have lost their home.
What comes to mind is four more years of the democrats and that could be us who have lost everything and are trying to make a new life in a strange country. Except if that was us, there would have been nowhere like our country to go to.
Today I feel proud that our country is helping these refugees. If I am lucky enough to meet any of them, I will do what I can to help them make new lives here.

It is sad to say, but when someone tells me they are Christian now, I wonder what church. Being “Christian” no longer describes how a person views life.
“You will know them by their fruits” (Matthew 7:16) means that a person’s true character and teachings can be revealed by their actions and their overall impact on others. The Qatar B-747 was built in the US by Boeing. They are offering a newer 747 to replace one of the two current AF-1s that have been flying for 40 years. Which are tired and need to be replaced. The wing based at Andrews has also purchased aircraft from other countries in the past which are currently flying our VP and senior government officials. This is NOT new.
The fact that the planes need replacing doesn’t mean we should accept used plans from a country such as Qatar.
Watching all the different stories and hand wringing in response to the Qatari 747 “Gift”, just can’t help but think that the President dodged an attempt at a planned “set-up” scandal.
The bad guys were loaded for bear, with all the stories and details cued up for broadcast. Instead they had to settle with made up claims of impropriety and other ridiculous stories.
Qatar is not a friend of President Trump nor his GCC Friends … Qatar has lost allot of money and face over Hamas and no more USAID nor other US Government payouts their banks laundered for terrorists and their US “friends”.
Although, there is an off chance the Qatari’s are trying to make nice as the Abraham Accords seem to be gaining more traction and are being used as the forum to discuss Gaza. Also, notice nobody is crying over Gaza lately.
It also seems odd that Qatar has NOT yet “officially” jumped in to explain the situation.
Hopefully President Trump walks completely away and allows the USAF and DoD to handle the the entire transaction as well as disposition of the 747.

It’s true. Offering a plane to the USA for use by the President, not a gift to President Trump personally. While it does not offend me all that much, I understand entirely why people are against our accepting such a gift from Qatar. Boeing still has not completed the new Air Force One ordered by PDJT during his first term, and it may not be ready until his 2nd term has ended! Absurd.
The plane is going to be owned by the DOD.
The new Boeing AF1 isn’t expected until 2030. The current planes are well past their usefulness.
Keeping the current 747’s airworthy is extremely costly.
It is a gift to the DOD and PDJT will use it while he waits to Boeing to finish the AF1 that should have been done a long time ago.

Hell, I was very happy to be able to “win” the money necessary to put a brand-new ceramic tile floor on my front room – eliminating the awful “orange shag rug” (and “half-gold mirror tiles” and “cork” … remember those?) that had been there previously! Yes, my winnings – less than $2,000 – enabled me to rescue my home from “the 70’s!” 🤡
