Educational materials at the libraries “promoting divisive concepts and gender ideology are incompatible with the Department’s core mission,” the memo states, adding that department leaders must “promptly identify” books that are not compatible with that mission and sequester them by May 21.
By then, the memo says, additional guidance will be provided on how to cull that initial list and determine what should be removed and “determine an appropriate ultimate disposition” for those materials.

Department officials have said it’s difficult to determine exactly how many transgender service members there are, but medical records will show those who have been diagnosed with gender dysphoria, who show symptoms or are being treated.
Those troops would then be involuntarily forced out of the service. And no one with that diagnosis will be allowed to enlist. Gender dysphoria occurs when a person’s biological sex does not match up with their gender identity.
Officials have said that as of Dec. 9, 2024, there were 4,240 troops diagnosed with gender dysphoria in the active duty, National Guard and Reserve. But they acknowledge the number may be higher.
There are about 2.1 million total troops serving.
When the initial Pentagon directive came out earlier this year, it gave service members 30 days to self-identify. Since then, about 1,000 have done so.
In a statement, Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said the 1,000 troops who already self-identified “will begin the voluntary separation process” from the military.
Under the new guidelines, active duty troops will have until June 6 to voluntarily identify themselves to the department, and troops in the National Guard and Reserve will have until July 7.

The women need to be removed from the submarine and make it all male. women in the military are a liability.
I do not necessarily agree with you. A submarine has lifting-gear in place so that “high upper-body strength” is not required. Therefore, if the women have been successfully serving, I think they should be allowed to continue doing it. Women are known to be excellent thinkers and planners. (Just ask my wife.)
Per contra, not so for “infantry” or even an “air support crew,” except in a background supporting role.
Just no to women on ships. Too close quarters and a distraction to the purpose of the ships in the first place. The Navy should not be a social experiment or a test.

I have made an effort to itemize the status of lawfare efforts via injunctions, temporary restraining orders and lawsuits against the Trump Administration executive orders. The caseload is enormous (233 and counting per the link). Honestly I can’t without an overbearing effort find sources that allow proper summary. I’ve looked at a significant number of tracking sources and find great variance in what’s reported. Perhaps what I can best do is summarize my perceptions:
There are a wide range of topics from immigration/deportation, DOGE, foreign aid, firings and budget freezes, birthright citizenship, trans rights, Jan 6 riot, climate policy and many others. From this most of the Trump agenda items that differ from Biden/Obama policy are being challenged on court.
Second, reviewing a number of sources, most challenges have been directed to favorable locations such as DC District Court, Maryland District Court, NY courts, and West Coast courts…not to conservative mid country courts.
Third, as a result, there is a large preponderence of Obama/Biden/Clinton judges though to be fair the judges extend at a minority ratio to Bush, Regan and even Trump appointments.
My opinion and only that is the effort is well organized to block the Trump agenda and immediately stop funding cuts preventing the Administration from implementing these changes while allowing legal and public opinion to block and dismiss and ultimately whither away Administration impetus.
I also think that no Congressional action is forthcoming to codify into law or remove judges, there is no political spine. Ultimately the Administration will either seek a path through Surpreme Court decisions or create the constitutional crisis by ignoring lower Court or Supreme Court decisions.
The potential suspension of Habeas Corpus for aliens could be the watershed moment.

I don’t do social media of any kind, but I do have a fake Facebook profile so I can sell stuff on Facebook Marketplace. That entire site is nothing but fake AI “inquiries” on your ads. You have to weed through dozens of crap AI bots to get to a serious buyer.
I was reading on one of the Facebook forums about all these people that use FB Dating and nearly all of that is AI too. These poor lonely-hearts looking for love chatting back and forth with an AI bot. It’s funny, but sad too.
AI is everywhere. Don’t trust anything on the internet without digging deep first. Like everything that starts out good, the internet is being wrecked by bad actors doing bad things. Eventually it’ll all be worthless AI or government propaganda.

Search say….a general question about health issue hoping to get varying opinions and all that will come up are government sponsored agencies. They do no want people armed with info or communicating with each other over non approved topics. This is one of the things I wish PT would add to his list. The battle between the Trump administration and the federal courts on the topic of deportation is intensifying.
The outlines are clear. Biden and his corrupt cronies left the U.S. southern border wide open for four years. Estimates vary but it’s likely 8 million illegal aliens crossed the border. But the actual number could be 10 million or higher. Of course, some just came for a better opportunity, but many were murderers, terrorists, rapists, sex traffickers, Chinese spies and every sort of violent low life you can imagine.
It’s nearly impossible to find and deport 8 million people. Biden made sure of that by ignoring the procedures for tracking and documenting the alien invasion. Trump’s policy of “remain in Mexico” while immigration cases were pending was abandoned by Biden. Many of the illegals got court dates, but those were scheduled years in advance. The expectation was that the court notices would be thrown in the trash, the illegals would not show up in court, and no enforcement action would be conducted.
Trump has launched a major deportation effort despite these handicaps. In any situation where you can accomplish part of the task but not all, the first move is to prioritize elements so you can devote resources to the best effect. Trump has done that also. He has prioritized the worst of the worst – criminals and terrorists – for early deportation. That reduces crime and violence in the U.S. and gives Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) a chance to hone their techniques for the larger task ahead.
The New Obstacle –– The Courts
Now, Trump has encountered a new obstacle. It’s not the illegals, the Democrats or the media. It’s the federal court system, especially rogue district court judges appointed by Biden and Obama. To be clear, the rogue judges don’t work in a vacuum. The plaintiffs are hand selected to create sympathy in the media (although there’s little sympathetic about a rapist) and are represented in court by lawyers backed by well-funded NGOs and activist organizations.

This is the part I want to highlight. I DON’T CARE about the tapes. I care about what our government did or did not do, and we are hearing a bunch of gobbledygook from Pam Bondi.
“The second incarnation of the Donald Trump administration vowed to give us greater government transparency in multiple areas, including the Jeffrey Epstein case. On February 21, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that the Epstein client list was “sitting on my desk” for review. On February 26, she proclaimed on national television that the “Epstein files” would be released the following day: “What you’re gonna see tomorrow is a lot of flight logs, a lot of names, a lot of information.” But when the highly anticipated tranche of documents was released, her words had been much ado about nothing.
When the documents provided no new allegations and revelations, Bondi then declared that she had been bamboozled by the FBI’s New York field office. Regardless of how we slice Bondi’s actions, she has to shoulder the blame for the fiasco, because either she lied on national television, or she didn’t diligently review the documents on her “desk.” Because I’m a charitable person, I’ll ascribe her actions to incompetence instead of mendacity and surmise that she didn’t peruse the documents before their release.
Bondi continued to hemorrhage credibility in the wake of her Epstein document debacle, because she told America that the Epstein documents that are to be released in the future will only have redactions if they infringe upon “national security.” So, now it’s incumbent on her to tell us why a bunch of child molesters would infringe upon national security.
On May 6th, Bondi proclaimed that the FBI has been sifting through Jeffrey Epstein’s “tens of thousands of videos” of child abuse material that contains “hundreds of victims,” which is the rationale she is offering for the delayed release of the “Epstein files.” According to July 8, 2019, New York Times article, federal authorities seized “hundreds—possibly thousands—of sexually suggestive photographs of girls who appear underage, as well as hand-labeled compact discs with titles like ‘Girl pics nude,’ and, with the names redacted, ‘Young [Name] + [Name].’”Judging by the titles on the discs, Epstein was a purveyor of child sexual abuse material. The latter disc named by the New York Times is perhaps an indication of blackmail? Moreover, Business Insider reported that an FBI agent later confessed that “hard drives” were taken from the safe.
So, the FBI has been in possession of Epstein’s huge cache of child abuse material since 2019 when it opened his New York mansion’s safe, which had the dimensions of a closet. I’ve always contended that the FBI and Justice Department didn’t contact the “hundreds of victims” displayed in Epstein’s child abuse material, because that would’ve impaired their cover-up of the Epstein network. And if the FBI is only now looking at Epstein’s child abuse material I was absolutely right.
But for Bondi to say that the FBI is only now looking at Epstein’s child abuse material is grossly disingenuous. The feds have had nearly six years to look at the child abuse material in Epstein’s safe, and I guarantee that they’ve looked at it—like I previously guaranteed that the victims of Epstein’s child abuse material have not been contacted.
The victims of Epstein’s massive cache of child sexual abuse material need to be identified and helped with the psychological devastation that invariably accompanies being used for child sexual abuse material. It is a rather peculiar facet of our society that people’s attention is fixated on the names of perpetrators, and the destruction of children over the course of 25 years is never mentioned when Epstein is discussed in the media.
As Americans, we need to address the Justice Department cover-up of the pimps and the perpetrators in the Epstein network. The cover-up of crime is aiding and abetting that crime. We can no longer coexist with a government that aids and abets child trafficking. Epstein shouldn’t have been able to molest a single minor after the Palm Beach Police Department’s investigation in 2005, but he and his cronies undoubtedly molested hundreds of underage girls in the 14 years between the PBPD investigation and his arrest in 2019.”

When top-level negotiations are taking place, one of the most vital considerations is: “what is said to the public, by whom, and when?” Some of these are official sources – some are empty speculation. The actual deliberations are, of course, “Top Secret,” since no one will negotiate in good faith with anyone about anything unless privacy can be assumed.
So, “if it doesn’t quite make sense,” and “you think you’re hearing two messages,” simply expect it. This is how the process works.
To me this looks like old fashioned negotiation techniques. Ask for the moon, put the pressure on aka high tariffs, get the other side squealing a bit, go back to the table, make a deal that gets you where you want to be and the opponent non the wiser and happy to get the pressure off. If this works out, both sides get something they want but your side gets a little more. It’s pretty interesting to watch at these high finance levels. JMO.
Trump literally(!) “wrote the book on” negotiations. However, these are the highest-level negotiations that can possibly be entered into. Trump knows what he is doing, and so does his team. Their Chinese counterparts also know that things going forward are just not going to be the same. They will be treated fairly, and that is all. You will not hear any secrets.

Some thoughts on what we may be watching unfold with DJT. It looks like they are hitting it hard to accomplish as much as they can through EO’s. Then they will watch the response to the actions taken as measured by gains in the Senate and House during mid term elections (or lack therof). If there are gains that indicate strong backing of the agenda by the public – then XO’s get turned into legislative action in the 2027 and 2028 congressional term.
One other thought, I think it is fairly well accepted that AI is here to stay. Given that fact, have you thought about the fact that your posts in the comment sections are being used to train both Large Language Models and Small Language Models (SLM)? For example, an SLM could be constructed to train on MAGA sentiment and MAGA opinions. Think about that and be thoughtful in your posts – you may have more influence than you think.
