Proverbs 16:7
When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Verse 7. – When a man’s ways please the Lord, which they can do only when they are religious, just, and charitable. He maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him; to submit themselves. Experience proves that nothing succeeds like success. Where a man is prosperous and things go well with him, even ill-wishers are content to east away or to dissemble their dislike, and to live at peace with him. Thus Abimelech, King of Gerar, fawned upon Isaac because he saw that the Lord was with him (Genesis 26:2 , etc.). This is the worldly side of the maxim. It has a higher aspect, and intimates the far reaching influence of goodness – how it disarms opposition, arouses reverence and love, gives no occasion for disputes, and spreads around an atmosphere of peace. To the Jews the maxim was taught by external circumstances. While they were doing the will of the Lord, their land was to be preserved from hostile attack (Exodus 34:2; 2 Chronicles 17:1). And Christians learn that it is only when they obey and fear God that they can overcome the assaults of the enemies of their soul – the devil, the world, and the flesh Talmud, “He who is agreeable to God is equally agreeable to men.”

All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

I’m so late to the party, rah. Been one heck of a looong two weeks here in my turf. Still recovering from the yucks.
I’ll say this about Obamacare —- when I had to pull kiddo out of public school and enroll her in homeschooling, it cost me $6,000 in equipment, curriculum, tuition, and supplies that I could not write off. I had to change my payroll withholdings to bring home as much paycheck as I could. I always claim single and zero so I don’t ever owe anything and usually get a small refund. (I pay a lot on taxes considering what I make and what I bring home.) Well, this year… I calculated and knew I would owe $500 in taxes and I was okay to pay that knowing this was best for my daughter.
Well, when I added the #$%^!^%$$ Obamacare statement in – it jacked up the debt owed back to the government to $2,000 and when we had to renew that coverage last year, I actually OVERSTATED MY INCOME because kiddo had her job and I wasn’t sure how much take home we would be making together. So, I OVERSTATED to lower the stupid #@%^!$ amount that they were giving me as a “tax credit” to lower the stupid premiums. They “say” my health insurance is worth $1,200 a month – IT IS NOT WORTH THAT!!!!!! NO ONE TAKES THE GARBAGE!!!! My premiums for the two of us are $700 a month. The only thing it covers is my blood work and I PAY CASH for my direct pay nurse practitioner and some tests, like 24 hour blood pressure readings, x-rays, EKG, etc… I, quite literally, only save $4 a month of my prescriptions with the insurance, as opposed to paying cash straight up for them.
This is the THIRD TIME that ABOMINATION CARE has screwed me royally – up to and including making me lose our home that I saved five years for the down payment for.
All those jack hats who created, voted, and launched that utterly craptastic piece of healthcare filth – especially those who excluded themselves from it – they deserve a place in hell and they’ve hurt terribly the small businesses and middle to lower income wage earners in this country. It forces one to limit his or her earning potential. It forces many to FLEE small businesses to return to working with large employers with real health insurance plans.
I would cancel my health insurance in a hot second if I didn’t know that Savannah would fall and break her arm, if I did. I’m so $@^^@%@% SICK of the indentured servitude like I am nothing more than a SLAVE IN CHAINS.
I just can’t HATE ANYMORE. I’m too freaking tired and too fed up. I have to constantly hand it over to GOD for HIM TO DEAL WITH. Savannah and me… we are HIS responsibility and in His Perfect Timing, He Will Restore the years the locusts have eaten.
I am just waiting to have my nervous breakdown. It’s coming – I’m just too dang busy for it.

Sorry haven’t been around lately. Still getting over the craptastic cold from last week. Been rough going. Kiddo was contacted by Red Gold two days ago about an open house for the Advanced Mechanical Technician program with IN-FAME and we attended this evening. Things are really coming to a head here.
We discussed her taking a gap year, so she could work, earn some savings and be able to buy a car. Plus she needs to get her drivers license and really needs to mature a bit more. The learning difference delays her maturity by about 3 years, so even at 19… she’s still acting very much 16. 16 without the gumption or desire to want to drive – which frankly scares the crap out of me. I keep telling her that if something terrible happens to me – driving is the difference between her being enslaved to someone verses being truly free. She needs the freedom to take care of herself and know that she can do it and succeed.
The university / on-the-job training program is really rigorous – full on working 50 hours a week plus home study time – and it will be next to impossible for me to chauffeur her everywhere and keep up a really difficult pace to the tune of what could be up to 200 miles (at least) in commuting per day… and that is for one of the closer in proximity business participants of the program. (Unless I could quit my job and go to work for the hosting employer – then we could car pool?!)
Well, at the open house tonight… those employers are really needing solid candidates right now to start in JUNE and she’s on the cusp with her GPA and her Accuplacer results. Should she apply and make it in – it will be utter hell for me to try to keep up with all the demands without her being able to independently help herself. In my mind, I have genuine concerns over the economy and manufacturing as these liberal loons seek to crash our economy and we wade the tumultuous flow of production for some of these multi-national companies.
Plus, this is a NO EXCUSES BOOT CAMP program and you must maintain C or better across the board in all the skillsets. The employers are paying the students $19 to $25 an hour for the on-the-job training and there is a currently a government grant that could cover the first year of the 15-month program.
This is, quite literally, an opportunity of a lifetime. I’m not sure she’s ready. She’s not sure she’s ready. Do we push and possibly fail – and kill me trying – or do we take a gap year and really practice that Accuplacer until it becomes second nature and she fills in some of the gaps in her learning… while growing in stamina with a “real” 8 hour a day job at something like Petco? (She won’t get the hours where she is now.)
Anyway… PRAY FOR US. I thought parenting would get easier as they grew older – I’m a fool. Launching her into the world is proving the hardest thing in my life and like any fatigued mother with a child who has a learning disability who has struggled getting this kid an iota of the help she has needed – I’m out of gas – and ready to shove her from the nest. It’s a balance that I’m taking seriously so as to not set her up to fail.
We have an event to go to Friday night and I’m pretty wasted and not all that well. It’s her Christmas present and also her 10 YEAR SPIRITUAL BIRTHDAY!!! She was baptized into Christ 10 years ago on March 1st – and her 19th birthday is March 29th. It’s a time of great celebration for us. I want to cherish these moments – I know the next 2 years will utterly change our lives forever.

In Indiana, job offers at the end of the 15 month program average $60,000 per year, with $90,000 to $100,000 at year 5. The program here at Vincennes University of Indianapolis is around $22,000, but the students make that with the OTJ training – so they can viably graduate DEBT FREE.
Can’t recommend this highly enough. Schools are located as far west as Colorado currently and continuing to spread.
