I have a personal experience of what it means to “drain a swamp.” My Father drained the swamp in at the bottom of the hill on which I live and with all kinds of people such as Grandparent’s and Uncle’s created an Olympic sized swimming pool with slanted sides that one could kind of walk down. Kind of a primitive thing but oh the joy of that thing.
If we wanted to swim in it, every Spring we’d have to clean it out by hand. We called this MUCKING OUT THE POOL. And the rotting vegetation that had gathered at the bottom during the Fall and Winter STUNK! Can’t even describe the smell of it.
To me, what President Trump has put in motion is a MUCKING OUT THE POOL EXPERIENCE. Sure it stinks!
And Dana Bash. Oh my. I always seem to feel bashed over the head when I listen to her. Grasping at “gotcha straws” in this new Administration?
I see in my Crystal Ball a future for her as a Weather Forecaster. A job that one never seems to get fired from when the forecast is wrong.
And DO NOT FORGET that the Office of Personnel management (OPM) database of over 4 million US security clearances was compromised to the PRC during the O-bummer administration, c.2015: The most detailed and comprehensive stash of ‘Personal Data’ that exists – !
I suspect that the 2015 leak, minus the files of preferred players, was intentional, to create plausible deniability and cover for the intended misuse of this very personal data by our own 3-letter agencies; any leverage gained by the PRC then just collateral damage. Curious whether that leak involved any of these same players in question, today. Another perfect example of the main problem of long-term, entrenched bureau_rats.

It’s not DOGE that’s been leaking information… but federal employees. And we allow them access to our private information AND tax money????
The federal gov went all in on being uniform and connected to the net. First they standardized to an unsecure OS–Microsoft. Then they willy nilly plugged insecure systems into unsecured networks so they (and anyone else, anywhere else) could connect from anywhere. It was child’s play to hack them!
Before the whole let’s take the same network and OS the accounting department uses and field it everywhere syndrome there were thousands of systems on secured closed networks operating on many different operating systems. Operating systems and applications designed for the function of that particular mission. It was a labyrinth to be sure but it was just as difficult for an nefarious outsider to navigate which was why our information and our secrets were more difficult to obtain.
Bash is a professional reader. A woman too ugly to act. Certainly too dumb to come up with news worthy substance. She is paid by CNN to ask questions written by her writers & managers. It’s her job. She is paid to follow the script. No ad-hominem necessary. Where is CNN’s USAID’s millions? Trying to recall; they a mouth piece for CIA or State Dept?
And, like almost every other TV interviewer ever, she interrupts constantly…interrupt me two maybe three times max and they will be talking to themselves…which is a bit redundant to state.

Dana Bash is unprofessional as a news interviewer.
Her job was not to do an actual interview designed to get answers; her job was to try to make Kristi look bad.
Dana deliberately talked over Kristi-that sort of thing is done to throw off the person being interviewed who is usually too polite to continue talking when someone else is speaking.
The other reason antagonistic hacks like Dana talk over people is to ruin future sound bites.
Kristi did a fairly good job in the interview all things considered.
She’s rather new to the national antagonistic news scene so we should probably give her a little Grace there; she’ll toughen up.
Kristi needs to get herself a witness coach- a person working for a lawyer helping witnesses prepare for court testimony and depositions.
Kristi isn’t used to being grilled and probably isn’t familiar with swamp tactics in that regard.
Kristi needs to take her own hair stylist and make-up person with her whenever she goes for any sort of media event.
She cannot count on enemy studio personnel to help her look her best.

Kristi Noem is in her early to mid-50s. She came up in an era when makeup and hairdos were all the rage for most girls.

My guess, going by a chronological photo montage is that she may have experienced some post-menopausal hair loss which is why she enhances her hair with extensions.
She is dying it probably to cover the grey.
Her hair looks very nice. She is an attractive woman; pretty, even.
She carries herself well and looks professional usually.
She may want to lower those high heels and raise the collar on her blouses.
Last week or whenever she went on that ICE raid she should have had her hair pulled back tight in a bun at the base of her neck just like any other lady cop.
That’s what keeps crooks from slinging a woman into a brick wall or the pavement.
Same idea with the horse riding photo op. Her hair should have been pulled back.
Optics matter, her hairdo needs to fit the job.
You don’t go to an ICE raid done up like it’s an audition for a shampoo commercial.
She can hire somebody to help her get all that straightened out.

My take away was that the plastic surgeons in South Dakota are not top notch (and yes I’m sure she had it done elsewhere everything-literal commenters). What on earth is she thinking? Don’t be phony. Age like the Good Lord intended. Natural is beautiful when compared to unnatural.
And don’t scold me for missing the message or attacking the messenger. I got the message. I agree with her (way ahead of her in fact). But SHE distracted us with her selfish and narcissistic appearance. Bad move.

Dana Bash, Kristen Welker, Martha Raddatz, Margaret Brennan, Chuck Todd, Jake Tapper, et al…remind me of all the hired actors in The Truman Show, surrounding the protagonist 24/7, while pretending to be real people, playing their roles to a fare thee well, mimicking expressions of love, concern, outrage, empathy and reflection.
Until Trump came on the scene ten years ago, I felt like Truman Burbank, surrounded by journalists and politicians saying the most outrageous things and pretending they were being reasonable…speaking in ambiguities, always vague, always non-judgemental, never expressing an opinion but framing their questions in ways meant to shape mine…to tell me what was correct for me to think, to believe, without being labeled a bigot, a misogynist, a climate-denier, anti-vaxxer or right-wing extremist.
None of it was real, just as the Bash/Noem or Vance/Raddatz interviews aren’t real interviews by real journalists.
And being subjected to that for so many years gave me a creepy feeling in the pit of my stomach. What was the motivation for these all these talking heads to act their parts instead of being real?
And now I understand! It’s all about the money and who controls it and how they use it. Because money buys power and enough of it will buy almost anything or anyone and compel them to lie to us night after night until they no longer believe they are lying…or no longer care!
But not everyone will whore themselves out for big bucks and a Manhattan penthouse!

She should have began her interview answering the hack thusly:

She should have been stronger in her responses. Her saying that the prior FEMA Director showing up in NC was great is totally irrelevant because she did not deliver anything. Also, I thought she should have pushed back on the reporter more on several issues instead of saying “the President has previously stated, etc”. Anyway, i know she is just starting out, and this is her first interview, but she needs to be MAGA in her thoughts and statements to more reflect the thoughts of the people that voted for our President. Basically I am saying that she needs to push back and interrupt and be a fighter for the PEOPLE and for our POTUS.
As of Saturday people in WNC were needing food, WATER, and propane. The trip to NC was a photo-op disgrace.
