My innocent sibling was murdered in a drive by shooting, in circumstances very similar to the Scalise shooting. A very healthy male, he did not make it out of the park alive. Bled out on the spot. He was taken to a hospital and they poured blood into him by the gallons and massaged his heart for quite awhile, but it did no good. Of course the ambulance was not let in until the scene was secured and that created a delay as well.
Bullets can truly do a lot of internal damage when they ricochet from one bone to another hitting everything in between.

I think that the thought of being sent to a prison in Greenland would be incentive to cease being a habitual criminal.
Unfortunately, criminals do not change their behavior, based on a concern over what might happen if they get caught, otherwise they would not BE criminals.
In Korea, prisoners were housed outside and their families had to come feed / clothe them. Those folks cared. Population was very low.
I actually do believe that a lot of people are criminals because they do not expect to be caught or be punished.
Putting cameras up in a casino is a massive deterrent to stealing for the 70% (my estimate) of the employees who would steal if they felt that they wouldn’t be caught.
I would also think that being sent to Greenland where it is too far for your family or homies to visit would be a deterrent. I also think that being incarcerated in Greenland where the ACLU types are non-existent may also be another deterrent.
