These Democrats are aware that Bondi went full-blown Lawfare in the Martin case and therefore is not squeamish in politically motivated prosecutions. By extension, Democrats know they are at risk themselves and are desperately wanting no part of her running the DoJ.
The question that I would like to see Bondi put forth is IF there aren’t people in the Biden admin that need prosecution, why are pardons flying out the window like big macs at a drive through?

Democrats were probably allowed to designate witnesses in opposition to Bondi.
I appears to me that each Cabinet nominee is being put forward for a very specific reason. Clearly one of the factors is to be confirmed by the Senate without having to “force” the position with an acting or recess appointment. That means that the nominee is going to have to be acceptable to some extent to Uniparty GOPe members. That will not look good to MAGA Patriots unless it is understood that the individual has cleared their priorities once in office with the transition team and, highly likely, personally with Our President. He and the MAGA Patriots have been at this for too long – almost certainly well in excess of 10 years for the core group – to screw it up at this point.

They are telling us more or less, that they will get rid of(impeach) her if she does. In McCords words:
