Politico claims that because it is guaranteed in the XIVth Amendment that it cannot be reversed via EO. But of course, as usual with the left, they completely omit any reference to the additional clause, “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof,” meaning, it refers to people who are not citizens of other countries; it was specifically written to ensure citizenship and all the benefits thereof to ex-slaves or their children.
Birthright Citizenship given to the anchor babies of people who have STOLEN into our country has never, ever, been decided in Court. NEVER. It only crept into common use in the 1980s, spreading like a cancer across the country. Now it is simply a bad custom. Never made formal.
Deciding not to follow this terrible custom doesn’t have to wait for President Trump to be inaugurated or issue an EO; Governor Abbott and any other governor who cares about this issue going forward should issue a directive – TODAY – that the progeny of anyone who is not present in their State legally will NOT be given American citizenship. Thank you for laying this all out. It is one of my great annoyances with how laws are twisted and manipulated to suit some power people’s agendas. Birth right citizenship is not a law and it should have been stopped immediately when someone tried to implement it as if it was a law. In his first interview since being found not guilty, Daniel Penny said the Manhattan District Attorney’s office was trying to “get me on something” after he put Jordan Neely in a chokehold to restrain him when he was acting in an erratic and threatening manner. Mr Penny said that prosecutors had a “lack of understanding of public perception of crime” and they never should have charged him.
Mr Penny, 26, was acquitted earlier this week of criminally negligent homicide over the death of Mr Neely, 30, in March last year.
A judge had earlier directed the jury to clear Mr Penny of the more serious charge of manslaughter.
The case sparked a national debate about vigilantism, crime and race. Mr Penny is white and Neely, a former Michael Jackson impersonator with severe mental health issues, was black.
“In the interview Mr Penny said that he intervened when Neely entered the subway car because he said he was “going to kill people”.
Assessing his behaviour, Mr Penny believed Neely was on the drug K2, a synthetic form of marijuana which causes people to act erratically.
Mr Penny described how he got up from his seat after looking at the scared faces of mothers and children on their way to school as Neely went up to them while “talking crazy”.
Once he put Neely in the chokehold, Mr Penny said he struggled with his “extraordinary strength” that made him “gasp” from the effort.And no matter whatever anyone says on the news, it’s pretty prevalent,” he said.
According to Mr Penny, the fact that the prosecution was willing to dismiss the manslaughter charge for a lesser one “showed that they were going to get me on something”.
Mr Penny also appeared to attack policies enacted by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who has defended his bail reforms even though they have put more violent offenders back on the streets.
He said: “These are their policies that have clearly not worked, that the people, the general population are not in support of yet they – their egos are too big just to admit that they’re wrong and they can’t reverse what they’ve done, because that’s a political suicide for them, I guess.”

I have friends, now retired, that worked for VOA and this is still a very important service. Perfect choice and I bet with the assistance of Musk and the social media platforms she may just be the perfect person to usher the VOA into the latest platforms for getting information out into the world,
especially in nations that are blocking access to various platforms such as what Brazil had recently done.
Another plus she knows the news industry inside and out and can only imagine what her insight working with the purveyor of X and Starlink can come up with to make sure real news and information can still be found while many nations are looking for ways to silence voices they cannot control. Think it was Ramaswamy that posted many computer systems still in use in our govt are over 50 years old – bet VOA is among those.

VOA is literally the Voice of America and broadcast around the world. It is like the old BBC World Service that used to ensure news gets to people who only get state lies in far flung places. Think of it as projecting truths.

I just left the New Jersey State Police HQ following the briefing of New Jersey State Legislators relating to the unexplained drone sightings in New Jersey.

was not present. My notes are organized following my take below on the situation.
1. We know nothing. PERIOD. To state that there is no known or credible threat is incredibly misleading, and I informed all officials of that sentiment.
2. State authorities, including the NJSP, are shackled with what they are able to do. Any interception or takedown of any UAS is under the strict jurisdiction of the federal government.
3. At this point, I believe military intervention is the only path forward. There will be no answers in the absence of proactivity.
4. The US Coast Guard seems to be the most likely to intervene based upon our briefing, but even that component was shrouded in mystery.
Here is my summary of the briefing :
Overview of the Issue:
First Sightings: Reported on 11/18, with sightings occurring every night since then, from dusk until 11 PM (6–7 hours).
Frequency: Reports range from 4 to 180 sightings per night.
Description:
Large drones (up to 6 ft in diameter).

Lights are turned off, making them difficult to detect.
Appear to avoid detection by traditional methods (e.g., helicopters, radio frequencies).
