I have long thought that Sidney Powell was heading in the right direction regarding the 2020 election interference case but was put in a holding pattern (for lack of a better term) because there were bigger fish to fry than correcting the 2020 election.
One may wonder what could possibly be bigger than the 2020 election. But that’s the size of the operation we are involved in/living through. It’s way bigger than a four-year election. It’s a massive global operation.

Agree genetics definitely plays a role in life and was not intending to be dismissive of its influence Judith – both things contribute. Regarding “eating right” – the question is always by whose guidance – hence the mention of tv and bad science – for example – the brain contains the highest percentage of cholesterol of any organ and it’s needed – fulfilling a critical role (as with all things there can be excesses and there are different types). Compound all the other with the drugs they put people on (example – statins). Throw in some “vaccines” for good measure.

Great advice. My dear departed MIL had dementia and any time she was able to get out she would try to “go home”. One time she got across town, about a 1 mile walk, to her old neighborhood. This was while we were at church and got a call from the caretaker. She knew where her home was, where she’d lived and raised a family – but she didn’t recognize me or her son, my dh. It got pretty difficult after my FIL died and she’d always ask where he was. We’d make up some story. She had gotten a tick bite years before that and was treated with antibiotics for Lyme disease & we suspect that may have been the cause of her mental problems.
Will say one good thing that computers and smart phones etc. have come up with are watches that can be put on the wrist of an Alzheimer’s sufferer who begins to obsessively need to wander, that watch puts out a signal that the caretaker can use a laptop to located their missing loved one. There is also a device that can be put onto a shoe, for those who fiddle and like to remove the watch, that can help locate a missing loved one.
Local police departments in several towns are starting to work with family members who have provided the devices to their loved ones so when an alert comes into the police department they too can access the frequency and locate the missing loved one.
It’s over 2 decades old, can’t remember the name of the devices (both my dad and his mom had Alzheimer’s and loved to wander in the woods of all places) and some people think such devices invade loved one’s privacy, but at that stage of the disease protecting their privacy is the last thing that would cross my mind.

This post appears very mis-leading and overtly negative. That’s why I question it.
First, “federal bureaucrats are enrolled in a taxpayer-funded pension.” The use of the word “bureaucrat” has a negative connotation. It implies fat-cats are stealing from the taxpayers. When in fact, all benefits provided to a govt employee are taxpayer funded. Their salary and entire benefit package all come from taxpayer funds. Where else would it come from other than taxpayer funds?
We may need to reduce the number of employees in govt, but the ones we need should be appropriately compensated. I’m sure Vivek would agree. That’s what has me skeptical about whether or not this is a fake post. A fake post by someone pushing fear instead of reality.
Next, “& comes with a massive cost”. All employees (public or private) and their associated benefits come with a massive cost.
Next, “nearly $1.2 trillion in unfunded liabilities.” Is that the blame of the employee who has been paying into the pension system for their entire work career? How is that any different from Social Security that most U.S. workers pay into for a defined benefit at a later date? It’s not different. it’s the same exact thing.
The missing piece here is the lower pay govt employees accept compared to private sector during their work career as a tradeoff for a defined benefit later when they retire.
Also missing is the trend of employers shifting away from pensions (defined benefit) and replacing them with 401K retirement plans where the employee has more control over their saving towards retirement. Companies didn’t just eliminate pensions. They shifted from pensions to 401K’s or similar benefit.
If we are going to have a discussion about public sector work and compensation versus private sector work and compensation, then one needs to compare apples to apples and not just cherry pick individual benefits.

Notwithstanding the numerous constant arguments contra (because people get offended and insulted), social security is and from the inception always was a ponzi-schemed old-age welfare, but merely welfare benefits calculated on a fake “account” to calculate entitlement, rather than an income or asset calculation of “need” made at the time of payout.
It is funded by regressive taxes on the lowest earned incomes (albeit as with all other taxes, started low and crept up over the years).
It was marketed this way by FDR and co., deliberately intended to fool people, because otherwise it would not have passed.
Social security is roughly calculated on “paying into the system” (i.e. who is a good boy), but if you think about it just a little you realize that it’s welfare paid by current lowest income workers who are being taxed. If you die, you lose it; if you are married for 10 years the spouse is entitled to receive social security too on your “account”, even if subsequently divorced — but if she also paid in and yours is higher, she loses her “account”. People on average in the first waves of recipients received benefits far more than what they paid in and ever could have accumulated. Millionaires for whom the payments are pocket change receive the most because of the need to maintain the “pension” aspect lie.
I don’t want to write a treatise here, so this is just a few data points, but people need to look at the truth, and recognize this scheme for what it is. It does so need to be reformed.
