“This was no small thing, to restore a republic after it had fallen into corruption. I have studied history for years and I cannot recall it ever happening. It may have been that our task was impossible. Yet, if we did not try then how would we know it could not be done? And if we did not try, it most certainly would not be done. The Founders’ Republic, and the larger war for western civilization, would have been lost.”
“But I tell you this: We did not go gently into that bloody collectivist good night. Indeed, we made with our defiance such a sound as ALL history from this day forward will be forced to note, even if they despise us in the writing of it.”

An assassin for our time (PART ONE)
Luigi Mangione, the 26-year-old who (allegedly) gunned down CEO Brian Thompson, is a watershed figure, a would-be Unabomber who was both less – and more. I fear we’ll see more like him.
ALEX BERENSON
Progressives hoped (yes, hoped) Thompson’s assassin would turn out to be a poor blue-collar worker with a kid who died after being denied chemotherapy.
Instead they got an Ivy League graduate who went to a fancy private high school, hurt his back in Hawaii, and had the finest, or at least most expensive, care available, spinal fusion surgery. The surgery seems to have worked about as well as back surgery generally does – somewhere between kinda and not really.
No one has yet produced any evidence that any insurer ever denied Mangione any necessary, much less life-saving, treatment. As an added bonus his family owns a Maryland nursing home that recently had to repay Medicare $55,000 for hiring someone with fake credentials and failing to report it.
On the other hand, Thompson was a University of Iowa graduate who worked hard for decades to reach a top job at a major public company.
The executioner, not the victim, is the card-carrying member of the elite.

Inside the mind of Luigi Mangione
The suspect in the killing of the UnitedHealthcare CEO weaves a complicated digital footprint
Monday, December 9, 2024
https://thespectator.com/topic/inside-mind-luigi-mangione-unitedhealthcare-killing-suspect/
Excerpt:
The news that UnitedHealthcare’s CEO, Brian Thompson, had been killed sent an immediate shockwave across America, prompting quick assumptions about the assassin’s motive. Early chatter on platforms such as BlueSky speculated that the shooter, who is now suspected to be “tech whiz” and UPenn graduate Luigi Mangione, might be some kind of anti-capitalist folk hero. As details emerged, these hypotheses began to fall apart. Mangione, who was taken into custody Monday, was skeptical of “woke” culture, followed several right-libertarian figures online — and curated a GoodReads list heavy on Silicon Valley self-help, futurism, psychedelics and advice on treating chronic back pain.
The tidy ideological script many anticipated did not materialize. Why would a “centrist tech bro,” as someone described him, one who loved Tim Urban and enjoyed books like Peter Thiel’s Zero to One, assassinate a healthcare executive?
Mangione’s modus operandi appears to have been a broader discontent with modernity, artificial intelligence and social media in particular. It’s a natural arc for the tech bro: what you once loved you become disillusioned with.
Disdain for the present is not uncommon among violent actors, either — in the past, I’ve reported on how mass shooters often express nihilism toward the contemporary world — but Mangione’s dissatisfaction had a different inflection. He gravitated toward “traditionalism,” a term gaining traction in certain media spaces as shorthand for a certain right-tinged longing: for older aesthetics, more formal courtship rituals, seemingly more authentic ways of life. Thinkpieces abound about this niche of right-coded thought, which seeks permanence and depth beyond what the digital present seems to offer.
Mangione’s digital footprint — his reading habits, the influencers he followed — suggests he found an intellectual home in these ideas.
He also, at least at one point, lingered on the edges of the tech world’s intellectual currents. He appeared both intrigued by artificial intelligence and uneasy about its implications. His personal struggles may have intensified this ambivalence. Mangione reportedly suffered from debilitating back pain and dabbled in psychedelics. As people try to fit Mangione into a neat box, many are left at a loss. Those hoping for an anti-corporate martyr had to abandon their initial assumptions. Others tried to taunt the right, questioning what it means that Mangione is a “centrist tech bro.” Still others were shocked to learn of odd personal overlaps — Caroline Calloway claims to have slept with him, Mangione was ostensibly a fan of “LindyMan,” also known as Paul Skallas, and I myself once moderated a Discord server where, as it turns out, Mangione participated.
——–
The suspect in the shooting of CEO Brian Thompson proudly showed off his education on his LinkedIn page. Mangione showed he had two degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, and that he graduated from his high school with the highest cumulative four-year GPA.
A combined program of a BS and MS program in 4 years? He probably went to school non stop during those years.
My question is this and I may have missed it if it was reported:
Did he have any employment history after graduation? If so, for what entity?
He was a software engineer for TrueCar (online marketplace), and was apparently doing remote software work when he was in Hawaii.
Not sure if he needed to work seeing that he is the grandson of a rich real estate investor in Baltimore.
Did the guy actually have a great job because he went to all of those “elite” schools.
“Mangione reportedly suffered from debilitating back pain and dabbled in psychedelics. “
Those are the points from which there is no return. His parents shenanigans are not his sins.
When he started doing those drugs he was introduced to a whole community who take them because of the failed healthcare system that ranks 69th in the world. His drug journey was one of enlightenment, and then of seeking justice.
Read the comments
Mangione with and M.S. from Penn in computer and info science, on top of his computer eng B.S. should have been quite comfortable, had he worked hard and risen to the top of his field. Which leads me to wonder whether it was not only his back that was bothering him but also unemployment. The mass firings that occurred in software dev a couple years ago might have included him, and since then it has been impossible to get a job as software developer unless you are an ace. Openings get 100 applications, many of which are excellent. An article the other day showed a Berkeley comp sci prof lamenting that his top grads, GPA 4.0, get no job offers at all nowadays. Mangione might have been facing the fact that his career was over already.
From his CV, I think he’d be at the very top of any employer’s list.
True but consider the familial influences and connections of the IVY league category (the big club that we are not in)…am thinking there might have been options available that his father might have been able to jump start?
Also wondering if the software dev jobs are some of the ones going to H1Bs from India?
An assassin for our time (PART ONE)
Simplistic analysis. See “Inside the mind of Luigi Mangione.”
It’s just one part, Winston.
Is it possible/likely that Mangione is a victim of MK Ultra?
The pins and screws in his back do look quite painful. Is that level of pain able to totally change a person?
It also seems odd that he killed the UC CEO hours before the CEO was to have an important meeting.
And… to be Valedictorian of his HS class, then earn an engineering degree from UPenn…. his behavior now makes no sense at all. He had a good reputation in HS and college. Something happened to him OR was done to him.
Is he the victim of CIA-induced mind control, like MK Ultra? There are likely far more evolved methods today of brainwashing people than 30, 40, 60 years ago. The Manchurian Candidate comes to mind.
It’s also weird that Mangione was SO stupid- kept the gun, showed his face at the hostel, wore the same clothes, kept his manifesto on him. He is clearly a very intelligent man w/a high IQ. Why so dumb?
Also separating from his family – isolation. Why?
Apparently, the Unibomber and Charles Manson were victims of MK Ultra too. How many others have there been? Possibly the PA shooter of Trump too? Possibly several/many mass school shooters?
It is claimed that he underwent a recent character change totally at odds with what people who knew him said it had previously been.
I suspect that, since professionally monitored microdosing of psychedelics as therapy for many types of chronic pain isn’t legal in most places yet, he did it on his own using street drugs. It is claimed he was using them.
He moved to Hawaii most likely because he’s a surfer, but they are considering legalization of the therapeutic microdosing of psychedelics there.
It’s the availability of the panaleous cyancens mushroom anywhere there is a cow field on the rainy side of the Islands and the dynamite reefer in Hawaii is my guess..
He is around the age where mental illness often starts to manifest, but still.
From the “Inside the Mind” excerpt:
Mangione reportedly suffered from debilitating back pain and dabbled in psychedelics.
Microdosing of psychedelics for chronic pain has been and is being studied, but that’s not legal in most states if any, so he was likely dosing himself with street drugs.
Although that microdosing is being studied to possibly help alleviate mental disorders, there is also this:
Psychedelics could make mental health worse in people with a personality disorder
April 12, 2024
https://theconversation.com/psychedelics-could-make-mental-health-worse-in-people-with-a-personality-disorder-226099
The interest in psychedelics is growing both in scientific circles and among the public. These are powerful substances capable of altering perception, mood and various mental processes. They also show promise for treating a wide range of mental health disorders.
However, for their use to be safe and effective, it’s important to understand how they interact with different mental health conditions. This is especially true for personality disorders.
In a recent study, researchers at Imperial College London investigated the complex relationship between psychedelics and mental health, highlighting the potential risks for people with personality disorders.
So, I suspect the apparently radical change in his personality noticed by people who knew him and the fact that his mom even turned him in as missing in November may be due to his DIY psychedelic dosing.

Alex is looking further into the psychedelics angle:
Psilocybin DOES help immensely with chronic pain. However, taking it too often is rolling the dice with your psyche.
Any existing mental illness could either be exacerbated or alleviated by mushrooms, EACH time they are used..
Each species of hallucinogenic mushroom have different effects/affects, and no mushroom is typical once ingested.
One time it may take a handful to achieve relief, sometimes it may only take a tiny piece of 1 mushroom and POW! Mental Fireworks! Figuring out the dosing is extremely challenging.
These plants and fungi are not toys.
Brings back to memory the guy from CA? that boarded a plane and almost caused the Pilot to crash…sorry forgot many of the details. With the CDC ‘s “War on opioids and anti anxiety meds”desperate people turn to black market drugs. This guy does not fit the type who would experiment with drugs just to get “high”.
Mangione’s Manefesto. He doesn’t sound insane although his actions were insane.

Killing the current UC CEO won’t solve anything. That CEO will merely be replaced with another CEO. Mangione doesn’t seem to make any specific claims against THIS CEO to explain why he killed him.
This makes no sense.
“Killing the current UC CEO won’t solve anything.”
It protected the Pelosei insider trading crimes.
CEO was ready to make a deal with DOJ exposing Pelosi.
Correct, it doesn’t make a lick of sense to me. I cracked my 3rd and 4th lumbar vertebrae all the way through playing football.
Pops was the coach and he was harder on me than anyone on the team so no one could cry favoritism.
I played (or was forced to play) the last 3 games of my 8th grade Pop Warner season with a broken back as my positions were first string inside linebacker and full back on the team.
The first doctors told Pops there was nothing wrong with me and that I needed to stretch more before practice and games.
That only made my dad drill me harder as he thought I was sandbagging him. Finally I got my mom to get me a scan with the trace shot in my blood that showed the defects in my vertebrae.
I have spent the last 31 years with acute pain, to one varying degree or another, almost every single day.
I cannot take over the counter analgesics or prescription opioids on account of liver, kidney and pancreatic damage from years of previous use.
Medical Marijuana ( which is Miraculous IF you can find and afford decent cannabis) just means you cannot get a job, be covered by Workman’s Compensation if you are working, legally drive a car with metabolites of the plant in your system or own a firearm and ammunition to protect your family.
Now after years of running my own business, I have inoperable bulging disc in the thoracic, degenerative disc disease from the thoracic to my pelvis, and the first vertebrae that connects to my pelvis is missing about a third of the bone mass.
I am not wealthy, have had no insurance since ’08, haven’t had a steady job since Jan. ’21, and have been laughed out of the Public Assistance Office.
You want to know what I haven’t flipped out? I have a Spiritual Center. I Pray To The Creator multiple times a day and night. Also who am I going to get mad at?
The Heavenly Father and the humble pineapple will see me through.
Mangione had an inflated sense of self importance like most kids with Affluenza and he was going to punish someone because he couldn’t get mad at himself for his passion of surfing.
Ow.
Wow – it seems you’re lucky you’ve been able to walk after your high school years, and my goodness, your dad sounds like he was a nightmare; your comment is a tough read, but praise GOD indeed! He’s a good, good Father.
My best to you.
Thanks KS. My Granddad saw really heavy combat in the Pacific and retired out as a Lt.Col. Granddad was a hard man. I can only imagine how my Dad grew up.
I can’t really hold his way of doing things against him.
The Creator has kept me here for some yet undisclosed reason, and believe it or not I am happy to be here!😉
Have you worked with a hypnotist who specializes in cronic pain?
I have witnessed people experience amazing reduction in decades long pain,
After all every sensation comes from the brain.
Not yet..
People spend most of their lives in one degree or another in a state of hypnosis.
Learning to use that fact to train your mind to what to you do and do not want to pay attention is a powerful skill. One I strive to learn.
For those who would would (indignantly) say they are never hypnotized I would ask have you ever found yourself miles down the highway and realized you are way past your exit and you have no recollection how you got to where you are?
WHO was driving the car???
Your third paragraph answers all the questions for me:
Deep State needed the UC CEO dead.
It is possible.
I’m going to go old school here and also suggest that dabbling in psychedelic drugs is a good way to open yourself up to demonic possession.
Any mind altering substance taken with the INTENT to achieve intoxication leaves the user wide open for Negative Influence, end of story..
No doubt! “Pharmakia” – from which we get the obvious ‘pharmacy’, etc., is Greek for “occult” or sorcery.
Only dumb if youvstartvwithbthexassumption he didn’t want to be caught.
His own words indicate he recognised the possibility, at least.
MK-Ultra is just the postmodern “God is dead” version of “the devil made me do it.”
he’s just an excitable boy
The University of Iowa is known for a lot of heavy medical educational programs…wondering if that includes the finance aspect of health care? I was wondering about the financial aspects of this yesterday–in relation to budgeting and billing/denial cycles.
Meanwhile, a bit west in Ames, the USDA is heavily invested in Iowa State’s many agricultural programs….too many to list. Worth the google.
Yeah this guy hurt his back surfing. He didn’t hurt it doing back breaking physical labor. There are plenty of reasons to be angry at insurance companies. Back pain because of participation in a hobby isn’t one of them.
Unfortunately I have had that very expensive back surgery, total fusion for entire spine. My doctor told me from the beginning, I might have 30% relief or 60% relief from pain. I am lucky and it has been 60%. Apparently this “smart” guy didn’t do his research or due diligence regarding the costs, doctors, outcomes etc..
Yes that appears to be true… but I think it very odd that with back surgery/back issues he would play around surfing. He has a high IQ. He is smart… so his behavior makes no sense.
It wouldn’t be the first time male stubbornness overwhelmed intelligence.
I can give you a list of women who have done stupid self harming things because of malignant obstinence.
IMO your post is not helpful.
He hates Capitalism…Capitalism has let him lead his life through elite schools, vacations and exotic locales…
The victim wasn’t an elite? The same guy dumping tens of millions of stock via insider trading? Such empty analysis by berenson.
He had money. There’s a difference, IMO.
This covers like 85% of all corporate 401k plans
Naturally..
Praise Jesus my parents wouldn’t let the sawbones fuse L1,L2 and L3 after a football injury when I was 14.

Doctors reveal how a lack of sex can turn men into killers
Luigi Mangione, 26, is said to have been unable to have sex because of a debilitating lower back injury
[…]Psychiatrists say that sexual frustration can leave someone with feelings of anger and frustration over being unable to find a partner, which they blame society for.
Violent attacks may be carried out as an emotional ‘release’.
[…]Trump’s first would-be assassin Matthew Cooks appeared to have been sexually frustrated
[…]Sexually frustrated mass shooters were more likely to be young, male, unmarried, childless, unemployed, and misogynistic compared to other mass shooters.
[…]Shootings driven by sexual frustration are normally associated with right-wing incel ‘involuntary celibates’ culture.
[…]Mangione, however, appears to have been captured by far left anti-capitalist ideals
[…]he may also have struggled to connect with women.
[…]he is a good-looking guy, an Ivy league graduate, so why doesn’t he have a girlfriend?
[…]police are yet to reveal a theory as to their suspected motive for the shooting.

Luigi Mangione’s Manifesto Published Online By Journalist

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/luigi-mangione-fights-ny-extradition-rages-about-insult-intelligence-american-people
The Daily Mail reported, “Mangione had suffered after a back condition called spondylolisthesis was worsened by a surfing accident,” adding that he was “believed to have had back surgery sometime in 2023 but is feared to have suffered continued complications afterward.”
The San Francisco Standard reported that Mangione’s mother reported him missing to the San Francisco Police Department on November 18.

Spondylolisthesis
https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/10302-spondylolisthesis
What causes spondylolisthesis?
What makes a vertebra slip out of alignment depends on which type of spondylolisthesis you have. The most common causes include:
Natural aging and wear and tear on your spinal disks.
Having naturally thinner vertebrae than usual.
Sports injuries.
Growth spurts (in kids and teens).
Traumas like falls or car accidents.

I wonder if his alleged use of psychedelics mentioned elsewhere had something to do with his sudden change of character. In one of his shows I heard Dan Bongino ask viewers about any personal microdosing success stories since he was considering it.
Chronic Lower Back Pain Is Real. Can a Psychedelic Drug Come to Your Rescue?
January 18, 2024
https://news.virginia.edu/content/chronic-lower-back-pain-real-can-psychedelic-drug-come-your-rescue
Great documentary:
Neurons to Nirvana: Understanding Psychedelic Medicines
IMDb 7.6 – 1 h 9 min – 2013
From Neurons to Nirvana: Understanding Psychedelic Medicines features interviews with some of the world’s foremost researchers, writers, and pioneers in the growing field of psychedelic psychotherapy. These radical healers and dissenters are using everything from ancient concoctions to newly created designer molecules to the once demonized psychedelic drugs of the 1960s.
With age — although Mangione was young — most of us will suffer from some level of degeneration in the lower back vertebrae. I do. It’s not terrible but there is a fairly constant degree of lower back pain. Just treat w/ibuprofen. Mine’s not that bad… but Magione’s pain was very likely quite considerable.
In prison he is going to suffer horrifically. It’s hard to believe that a person w/a genuinely high IQ as he clearly has would risk so much, not think this through… not turn for help to his wealthy family. His actions make no sense.
See my theory above about his radical personality change possibly being due to self-dosing/medicating himself for chronic pain with street psychedelics.
Ibuprofen will eat a hole in your stomach lining if you take enough of it. It relieves swelling by causing inflammation in your liver..
Even if it were proven that pychedelics could help manage my back pain, I still wouldn’t do it. That’s just me. The long lasting effects they have on the brain is a side effect I’m not willing to explore.
Agreed. Everyone knows that street drugs are very dangerous and risky w/so much fentynal being injected into many street drugs.
He has a wealthy family… and appeared to have a fairly close family relationship with them. Why did he isolate himself from them? Why not turn to his family for help. They can afford it.
Makes no sense.
Problem is, T, if your back hurts everyday, you’d have to take hallucinogenic substances every day, that’s why I won’t do what this idiot did… small amounts of these substances, taken intermittently, for the right reasons, don’t usually have lasting negative outcomes..
I don’t sound like too much of a mush brain do I?
The only reason I ever tried any of it is because I was desperate.

I’m very worried about the Christian Syrians and the Kurds… and others.
The Assad replacement govt will be more brutal and slaughter Christians and destroy churches.
This is about IMO creating an Islamic caliphate throughout the ME. Every predominantly secular Islamic country is being toppled and replaced with radical Islamists.
And the same entities that succeeded in displacing Asad, and replacing him with ISIS,are hard at work in Europe, dictating to Romania, trying toboust Orban, trying to outlaw AFD in Germany,…its a hot mess!
Found in the bin… 🙁
Yep. The US has been angling for this since at least Carter. And Clinton gave them a foot-hold in Europe by targeting the Serbs.

FJB is touting the United States economy under his administration as extremely successful and hopes President Trump will “preserve and build on this progress”.
Seriously, this guy is delusional. We are hoping President Trump will drastically change everything about the economic policies of the past four years. This administration has been purposefully disastrous and has destroyed people’s savings and credit lines. Credit card debt passed $1 TRILLION for the first time in history. That is not because folks were buying luxury items.
*************
Biden says it’s his “profound hope” that President Trump will “preserve” his economic success.
What success? Americans have lost ~$30K+ paying for the higher cost of living under Biden.
Most eggs displayed at my central Oregon Walmart yesterday were between $8-12/doz.
I just bought a dozen eggs yesterday for 4.12/dozen in Harford County Md. at a Shop Rite.
$5.87 for 18 count Great Value large white eggs at Walmart in Erie, PA 5 minutes ago.
I don’t think I have ever seen generic (Kroger brand) eggs over $3 for a dozen in Oakland County Michigan. Usually around $2. We buy cage free which are $3.79.
I just bought a dozen large eggs in central NC for $1.52.
Plenty of backyarders sell their eggs. facebook group harford county chickens.
“As former Obama Secretary of Defense Robert Gates famously said, “I think he has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.””
FJB is literally screaming about “leading the world”. He says if we don’t, then who will. The only thing I have to say about that is, Make America Great Again. I don’t want my tax dollars $6,000,000 going to Egypt to help them increase tourism.
It is past time to put America First!!

“Not a joke, I’m not being wise guy,” he said. “If we do not lead the world, what nation leads the world?” he screamed. “Who pulls Europe together? Who tries to pull the Middle East together? How do we [gibberish] Indian Ocean? What do we do in Africa? We, the United States, lead the world.”
Biden is randomly screaming again: “I’m not being wise guy!”
I can see it now. When President Trump’s economy takes off and there are help wanted signs all over the place, FJB’s tribe will place those “I did that” FJB sticker on the signs.
… but no one will believe Biden.
Americans experienced directly the extreme inflation that the Biden govt caused.
No one… lol… will believe that Trump’s economic success is attributable to Biden.
Irony sometimes makes me laugh and the irony of the help wanted signs with the FJB stickers made me laugh. Yeah, I agree that everyone with 2 brain cells would know the truth, so that leaves out FJB’s tribe.
Yes it does and I know because I’m surrounded by 4000 of them in all blue NE NC. They are so proud of the dem support, the Harris/Walz signs are still up.
JB can tout all he likes but no one believes him.
Trump will enact multiple economic changes and Americans will feel the difference w/in 1-2 years.
Trump knows he must improve the economy and clean-up our corrupt govt so we can win the House and Senate by greater numbers in 2026. Rs need to retain and expand control of Congress in 2026.

I’ve been seeing this cultural pushback coming for nearly a decade.
A lot of people said it would never happen. Things were “too far gone.”
Not enough faith or vision.
Things can change very quickly. Consciousness isn’t static. New generations develop new beliefs based on circumstances.
The point is simple:
Don’t say something “can’t”
or “won’t” occur when it logically must, regardless of how bleak things look now.
You can only distort so much for so long. The truth eventually emerges. Nature finds a way back.

This guy was not in his right mind.
An attractive young man, with no girlfriends, because of his bad back? Yes, he had to have been in pain, but I do know others with constant back issues who try not to obsess, and live their best lives, while this man evidently could not.
Mark Zuckerberg could likewise not get any girls to talk to him at Harvard so he created Facebook. Some nerds find peaceful means to pursue girls (and make a giant fortune in the process).
When I was a teenager, we formed high school rock and roll bands and girls came out to watch and adore US.
Mark Zuckerberg did not create Facebook. Your tax dollars did that, for half a billion dollars in the black budget, steered by DARPA.
He was always just the cover story.
Yep.
and LIKE Bill Gates – ” Appropriated ” an IDEA / Partially Completed Project…
Thomas Edison style ( manager of IDEAS and people )
I no longer believe anything the police or fbi “find” on people they arrest is real. They work for their government
Don’t tell Taylor Lorenz that. Tay Tay already has dibs on him. The way she was giggling like a school girl on Piers Morgan is disgusting.
Apparently, his back problem prevented him from having sex, so it is more than just not being able to find a girl. He physically couldn’t “be a man”.
Plus, the pain management has apparently caused a psychosis of some kind… he had cut himself off from friends and family for several months prior (after another back surgery). He was reported “missing” sometime in early November.
Terribly sad waste of life – both his and the guy he murdered in cold blood.
He will likely not last long in jail…
I interpreted that to mean he could not do the requisite movements but could certainly come to completion with other activities. So, I don’t think this was the determining factor.
Not to mention many people abstain when unmarried or for medical reasons and don’t go kill people.
Newsflash, the only chicks who want to hang out with a guy with real chronic back pain are little doper b!tches that want to steal your pain pills.. Trust Me..
🤣😂
Yes, indeed – but for Oh, Canada!, not so much.
Is this President Trump’s backhanded way of endorsing Pierre Poilievre to serve as the next Canadian Prime Minister without being accused of trying to interfere with internal, Canadian, politics?
The incoming Trump team needs to create a long list, RIGHT NOW, of those to be detained at U.S. airports by TSA for questioning immediately after the new President is sworn in. The FAA should also be ordered to ground stop, by Presidential order, all departing private or chartered jets, heading for foreign destinations, on January 20, 2025, pending close reviews of passenger manifests. All overseas flight plans of such jets should be suspended by the FAA pending approval by the Office of the President.
The scoundrels have spent years weaving the immense, tangled web for others in which THEY can now be caught.
FWIW…what’s to stop those folks you mention from leaving on January 19 or earlier?
Seems rather pointless
Interesting story about Ukraine in Syria and Mali – supporting the Islamists:

About 20 experienced drone operators and approximately 150 first-person-view drones were sent by Ukrainian intelligence to the rebel headquarters in Idlib, Syria, four to five weeks ago.”

“Ukraine expanded its military intelligence efforts to other regions to challenge Russia indirectly and, according to a June 3 report in the Kyiv Post, Ukrainian operatives have been assisting Syrian rebels in targeting Russian military assets in Syria.
This operation, conducted by a special unit of the Ukrainian military intelligence service (GUR) known as “Khimik,” has collaborated with the Syrian opposition to strike various targets, including a significant bunker.”

“Ukraine’s global military intelligence operations are not limited to Syria as they reportedly have extended to other regions, including northern Mali, where Ukraine was reported to have supported rebels in ambushing Russian mercenaries from the Wagner Group, resulting in significant casualties, WaPo said.
This operation in Mali led to the severing of diplomatic ties between Mali and Ukraine.”
Ukraine’s strategy will likely backfire, freeing up troops and materiel for combat in Ukraine.
I don’t think anything Ukraine does is their strategy. I think it’s the US IC and the UK equivalent that call the shots.
Do we know any nore about the NJ drones? Sounds like a sports team.

Good point re: knowing less about PDJT’s PA assassin than we know about Mangione.
It’s also a huge red flag that the FBI had the PA assassin immediately cremated and FBI operatives were seen hosing down the roof w/in a couple days of the failed assassination attempt. Obviously, the FBI was trying to cover-up something. You don’t destroy the forensic evidence for no reason.
My guess is that the 20 year old assassin was drugged – MK Ultra style – so all blood DNA evidence had to be destroyed to hide it.

That’s sick. This is a tragedy all around, the victim had two sons, and the killer’s family is going to lose their son, and the killer who could have been helped with his problems has effectively ended his own life.
lost track of time again; one case is being heard before the U.S. Supreme Court today, which began at 10:00 a.m. east coast time; link to the live audio:
https://www.supremecourt.gov/
This is Dewberry Group, Inc. vs Dewberry Engineers, Inc.
the question before the court is “Whether an award of the “defendant’s profits” under the Lanham Act can include an order of the defendant to disgorge the distinct profits of a legally separate non-party corporate affiliate.”
It’s a trademark dispute where one party financially benefited from the trademark of the other company; this paragraph taken from an Amici Curiae, a brief for Intellectual Property in support of the Respondent (Dewberry Engineers, Inc.):
“For many assets, determining the amount and location of ill-gotten gains from their unlawful use is straightforward: the profits of patent infringement are usually with the infringers, and the same goes for copyright. But trademarks are different. Their value is often amorphous, and when used (lawfully or not), that value tends to spill over to the user’s affiliates . . . reading the Lanham Act as Dewberry Group (DG) contends would divorce the statute from the particular asset at issue, and the reality that trademarks often bestow value beyond the specific ledgers of the infringer.”
That one is over my head.
Is there a Cliff Notes version?
I wish; had to dive into the various submittals by the lawyers from both sides and those who were filing the friend of the court briefs to finally find out this is about a trademark dispute and one party won while the other party apparently hid the money they made by using the other party’s name and when the party that won the lawsuit went to collect the damages, the infringing party said something about ‘you can’t do that, we are a separate corporation and what we said on our tax returns means you can’t go after where we hid the profits from using your business name and reputation because honest we wouldn’t lie on our tax returns’ type of thing – so no, cliff notes won’t help.
and this is just my layperson’s understanding of what the two parties were saying.
Next series of cases to be heard at the U.S. Supreme Court will begin January 13, 2025

Watched this last week, Melody Wright (does videos on mortgage issues) who lives in the areas affected by the Hurricane Helene, interviews her friend, realtor Travis (forgot his last name) who has set aside his life to volunteer wherever he can, they talk about the status of things; very sad, very eye-opening; just over 1 hour
titled “AFTERMATH: Hurricane Helene and the Human Condition on FULL DISPLAY” –
Should have added these two are discussing the stamina of the SAR teams that they’ve both been working with and the status of what is, and basically isn’t, going on (i.e. no FEMA whatsoever)
here is a new, 13 minute, video that Travis posted today; he was with a SAR team, calling it’s work “Operation Bring Them Home”, working to recover bodies, some of the volunteers who brought special equipment with them from Canada, to help find bodies in water along with two dog teams, Travis goes with the various SAR teams, videos what they are doing, so that people know there is still work to be done, work being done by volunteers, because apparently our federal govt doesn’t care to do the work:
What is FEMA?
I’m going to say that’s probably a state responsibility at this point.

MASSIVE : A federal judge just ordered the FDA to release 1,000,000 pages of documentation about the Pfizer vaccine, previously sealed for 75 years.
His reasoning for doing so will go down in history books:
“The liberties of a people never were, nor ever will be secure, when the transactions of their rulers may be concealed from them. The Covid-19 pandemic is long passed and so has any legitimate reason for concealing from the American people the information relied upon by the government in approving the Pfizer Vaccine.”

I see a way that PDJT can greatly improve the health of low-income families by asking his new Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins to make junk foods ineligible on SNAP just like they do with liquor or cigarettes.
NO soda, high fructose drinks, cookies, candies, junk food snacks could be bought with SNAP.
Big Food and Big AG would have a heart attack as they love that all those SNAP benefits increases their bottom line and so does big Pharma as increasing numbers are obese and diabetics are requiring prescriptions.
Imagine the optics of Big Food trying to fight to keep junk food on SNAP.
PDJT wanted cuts to the SNAP before. There should be a RESET to the purpose of the program which was to help the ‘poor buy food to prepare low-cost, nutritious meals’. Removing junk and overly processed food from SNAP would make it healthier also.

The fraud needs to be actively pursued, and illegals should go back to their own countries for handouts, but some might think that’s a bridge too far.
https://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/facts
Nobody seems to understand that SNAP is “supplemental”.
People could still buy what they want, just not with the SNAP benefit.
If I remember correctly, I believe that President Trump 45 wanted able bodied SNAP recipients to do some kind of work in order to receive the benefits, workfare.
I found this.
https://fox59.com/news/president-trump-signs-executive-order-pushing-work-for-welfare/
Yes, and the link provided about Rollins mentioned Trump wanted to cut the USDA budget as well.
Just imagine if the welfare recipients not only had to work, like supervised community service cleaning the park for example, for benefits but had to pass a drug test.
While I think SNAP foods should only be foods that REQUIRE meal prep (cooking) rather than ALLOWING ultra processed foods, I remember the government cheese program that you had to line up for also had canned meats, and beans from the USDA. Maybe a true old school reset is required.
I thought the Clinton welfare reform already did that.
Must SNAP recipients are children.
If it did, I haven’t see it. I have not seen any snap vans along the highway with people in orange vest picking up garbage like I see inmate vans doing.

Then the man himself appeared — and he didn’t fit into any of the neat categories that had already been created to describe him. On X, he followed the liberal columnist Ezra Klein and the conservative podcaster Joe Rogan. He respected Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and retweeted a video of Peter Thiel maligning “woke”-ism. He took issue with both Donald Trump and Joe Biden. He played the cartoon video game “Among Us,” posted shirtless thirst traps, quoted Charli XCX on Instagram, and had the Goodreads account of an angsty, heterodox-curious teenage boy: self-help, bro-y nonfiction, Ayn Rand, “The Lorax,” and “Infinite Jest.” Yes, he seemed to admire the Unabomber. But mostly, this guy — a former prep-school valedictorian with an Ivy League education and a spate of tech jobs — was exceedingly centrist and boring. A normie’s normie. He wasn’t an obvious lefty, but he wasn’t steeped in the right-wing manosphere either. His posted beliefs don’t fit neatly into any preestablished bucket. In his 261-word manifesto, which surfaced online, he downplayed his own qualifications to critique the system. “I do not pretend,” he wrote, “to be the most qualified person to lay out the full argument.”
That didn’t stop the denizens of social media from pretending to be the most qualified people to lay out exactly who Mangione is. He’s “fundamentally anti-capitalist” and “just another leftist nut job.” Or he’s “a vaguely right-wing ivy league tech bro.” Or he was invented by the CIA, or maybe Mossad, as a “psyop.” The reality of Mangione — his messy, sometimes contradictory impulses — allowed everyone to cherry-pick the aspects of his personality that confirmed their original suspicions. In the attention economy, patience is a vice.
Mythmaking is easier, of course, when it’s unencumbered by reality. The less we know about a killer, the more room there is to turn him into something he’s not. From what we have learned so far, Mangione is a troubled Gen Zer who won the privilege lottery at birth and ascribed to a mishmash of interests and beliefs. We will surely learn more about him in the coming days, weeks, and months. But now that we know who he is, it will be hard, if not impossible, to let go of our initial assumptions. Instead, we’ll selectively focus on the details that fit tidily into the myths we’ve already created. In the digital-age version of “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance,” the legend was already printed by the time the facts came along.

Tucker Carlson in Andrew Yang interview: “Ted Kaczynski, I have to say, has written very convincingly on this. The Unabomber. Bad person, but a smart analysis, I think, of the way systems work. His argument is that large organizations over time morph into purely self-preservation projects. A big system in the end protects itself and that’s kind of all it does.” In another more recent interview, he recommended people read Kaczynski’s manifesto.
Blake Masters (Peter Thiel associate): He counts Ted Kaczynski as among his intellectual influencers — pointing to the Unabomber’s manifesto as a source of inspiration for his own message of the dystopian techno-present. He also recommended that people should read Kaczynski’s manifesto.

Alleged UnitedHealthcare assassin praised Elon Musk for battle against “woke mind virus”
Not so fast, what kind of “anti-capitalist” is praising Elon Musk and retweeting Peter Thiel?
December 9, 2024
https://www.salon.com/2024/12/09/alleged-unitedhealthcare-assassin-praised-elon-musk-for-battle-against-woke-mind-virus/
While some have portrayed Mangione as “anti-capitalist,” his social media profiles show him retweeting talks by right-wing billionaire Peter Thiel, praising Elon Musk, and liking critiques of conservatives for their failure to understand the Unabomber’s comments on “the decay of traditional values.”
One of Mangione’s final posts was a retweet of a video of Thiel discussing how many of the “great startups seem to be run by people who seem to be suffering from a mild form of Asperger’s.” In another retweet, Mangione reposted a statement praising Musk for his “commitment to long-term civilizational success.” The post was in reference to a post by Musk, claiming that he was in “a battle to the death with the anti-civilizational woke mind virus.”
He reposted another tweet, which was a link to an article calling TikTok “The Smiling Tiger” and making the argument that the short-form video app is an “accelerant” in a Chinese plot to get Western liberal capitalism to destroy itself.
“Slowly but steadily it could turn the West’s youth—its future—into perpetually distracted dopamine junkies ill-equipped to maintain the civilization built by their ancestors,” the article retweeted by Mangione reads.
In one post on X, Mangione responded to a post claiming that people had replaced GOD by “worshipping at the DEI shrine, using made-up pronouns like religious mantras, and firing professors for saying men can’t get pregnant.” In his response, Mangione recommended an article from The Telegraph’s Madeline Grant claiming that atheists now worshipped “intolerant new gods” while attacking Scotland’s 2021 anti-hate crime law.
In another post, Mangione advocated for increasing birth rates in Japan by banning sex toys marketed towards men and by replacing internet cafes with athletics to revitalize “traditional Japanese culture.”
This is only the tip of the iceberg in terms of Mangione’s tweets and retweets, which include self-help threads, long posts about the “Great Fall” of the Roman Empire, and vox populi interviews in which a reporter asks people whether men are important in society.
One consistent throughline in Mangione’s online presence is his opposition to smartphones. In another post, he retweeted a link to an article on Bari Weiss’ conservative news site, The Free Press, proscribing a “fix” for children using their phones. One of his favorite books on GoodReads was “How to Break Up with Your Phone: The 30-Day Plan to Take Back Your Life” by Caterin Prince.
“This little book packs a punch,” Mangione wrote.
Other books on his GoodReads profile include Ted Kaczynski’s “Industrial Society and Its Future,” David Goggins’s “Can’t Hurt Me: Master Your Mind and Defy the Odds,” and Timothy Ferriss’ self-help book “The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9–5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich.”
On his GoodReads profile, Mangione left a review praising Kaczynski’s book earlier this year, including a passage from it that he said he found interesting.
“We’re animals just like everything else on this planet, except we’ve forgotten the law of the jungle and bend over for our overlords when any other animal would recognize the threat and fight to the death for their survival. ‘Violence never solved anything’ is a statement uttered by cowards and predators,” the quoted excerpt in the review reads.
His review on GoodReads also included a section on quotes that Mangione liked. In one of these quotes, Kaczynski claims that “conservatives are fools” but only because “it never occurs to them that you can’t make rapid, drastic changes in the technology and the economy of a society without causing rapid changes in all other aspects of the society as well, and that such rapid changes inevitably break down traditional values.”
Luigi Mangione ‘had so much to offer’ — now, he is a murder suspect
“As I knew him, he was a creator, not a taker of life,” one former classmate said of the man charged in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2024/12/10/luigi-mangione-life-school-family-back/
Excerpt:
A star student and engineer
The Luigi Mangione whom teachers saw growing up was a builder. A video posted by Gilman in 2016 shows him at the center of a robotics competition, manipulating a robot and helping lead the school’s team to success in a tournament.
The prep school charges nearly $38,000 for a year of high school tuition, according to its website, and many students come from some degree of wealth. But far from bragging about his family’s local prominence, Mangione was viewed as self-effacing and accessible — a volunteer who coached other students on their essays in the school’s writing center.
Then came Penn, the Ivy League university, where again Mangione found himself in leadership roles, such as helping to found a video game development club. A Penn-affiliated news outlet in December 2018 reported that the club had grown to 60 members.
“Passion is what we’re looking for,” Mangione said in an interview, adding that the club didn’t turn away people who lacked programming experience.
Mangione graduated from Penn with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in four years. He went to work as an engineer for TrueCar, a web platform for people to shop for automobiles. The company, which instituted broad layoffs in 2023, has said Mangione has not been employed by it since that year.
Former classmates said they couldn’t square this new, darker portrait of Mangione with the person who was once so optimistic.
“I can’t help but feel sorry for Luigi and really the American people — that he had so much to offer, to innovate and create for the world and wound up so damaged that he did the unthinkable instead,” said a former Gilman student, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. “As I knew him, he was a creator, not a taker of life.”
I asked Grok at X about what would happen in 2025. It response was generic. So to get it more focused, I asked it what would be the worst thing to happen next year – or something like that.
It concluded — Extreme Weather Events due to Climate Change.
I posted while tagging Mr Musk — this is a very big problem:
Climate Change is the classic Trolley Problem the Davos Crew invented in the 1960s — it was specifically invented to — “Scientifically” sell – the culling of the human population on Earth.

Anyway, as X + AI-Driven sources of info become increasingly used to think for us – like calculators have lowered our ability to do Math —
we’ll increasingly become dependent on — a non-human Eugenicist – that we carry around in our pockets + increasing turn to to explain the meaning of the world for us — especially our youth who have never lived in a society without Smart Phones…
How long before they start voting for politicians pushing — Logan’s Run…?
They are already increasingly Euthanizing people in several Western Nations…
