I only watched a few minutes. He does swear a lot. No, it’s not funny to hear about the language of his young son. The swearing is the first thing I have not liked about Vance. I’m still glad he’s the vp nominee
Spot on. Vance grew up around plenty of colorful adjectives. “Hillbilly Elegy” is worth reading because the author is our candidate for the VP job.

I watched the full interview and I think he’s great, from what I see here. Time will tell if he’s the real deal. He definitely can hold a conversation and make it interesting on any topic just like his boss. They are quite the pair! 💥🇺🇸TRUMP / VANCE 2024🇺🇸💥
Couple of years ago, when I mentioned to a retired navy guy that Navy men, and ex-convicts are the best at swearing and put-downs, he told me they can’t do that anymore because someone’s feelings might get hurt.
Lol, I’ll never be that “recovered”. Yeah, my Navy was Reagan’s Navy. 😏 I went “IRR” (individual ready reserve) a year after Clintons’ Commie creeps took over. I had my first “face to face” with one of his “woke” Navy Undersecretaries at a C.O. conference in D.C., and after that, I had better things to do with my life.
i was in a year when reagan won, and started the USN overhaul. it was also the time of my conversion from apolitical to hardcore conservative. learned a whole new language while at sea(gedunk) along with that Fbomb i still drop several times aday

Totally agree with him 30 minutes in.
The whole Trans/LGBTQ is a trend, but unlike being a goth, a punk rocker, or cos player, you don’t get to take off the costume, or make up when you’re finished playing. The scars are for life, and you can’t hide them like tattoos!
Read an article not too long ago. A man found out his ex-wife was going forward with chemical castration of their son when he received an explanation of benefits in the mail from his healthcare plan. An implantable one-year dose of a cross-sex hormone and the professional and facility fees for the outpatient procedure under sedation was $90,000.
The plastics are no help but it is the looney mothers and social workers that I fear.
Marxist education, and parents who bottle fed garbage. Tech is also to blame. People rarely speak face to face anymore, even in a restaurant. Everyone is buried in their phone.

Can you imagine a douche’ bag like Mike Pence sitting down for an interview like this? I’m still somewhat skeptical of Vance, but he’s a definite upgrade from Pence.
Do you think unsolicited advice is ever appreciated?
If you must offer unsolicieted advice do you think perhaps phrasing as a question is more likely to be effective?

I’m nearly two hours into to this interview and I’m thinking, “is this the same Joe Rogan who supported Bernie Sanders for president the last time around?” because he’s not only sounding like a Trump supporter but Joe and JD are acting like they want to have a beer and cheeseburger together in some local watering hole after the interview.
I was thrilled by Trump’s win in 2016 but he was a maverick then and THIS time around he’s a magnet, attracting, Bobby, Elon, Tulsi, Dr. Phil, Bill Ackman and even Rogan, who I suspect will be voting for Trump this time around.
Rogan is a trend chaser. Trump has the energy now, so that’s where he is.

So when 2015 was coming around I was basically supporting Cruz. I remember distinctly walking in the airport in Nice France with a French coworker (I work for a multinational company) and him asking me about this Trump guy. My take at the time (and response) was that he was an entertainer and would likely not be the nominee. I wasn’t sure he was serious.
Then I watched Trump crush through the republicans running… which was impressive…. And I was sold. I could also clearly see how every the news and everyone on the left was trying to paint him… orange man bad… mean tweets…
So I have no problem with Vance’s comments in 2015.
I’m not sure if that is universal. Was just back there a month ago for work vacation. They are curious but suffer from the same thing we have here with the lens filter of their media.
The UK are spoon fed the BBC as run by MI6, and they even have to pay them via license fee! They have no choice if they want entertainment in their homes. They have to have a license if they buy a TV. It makes me smile when they say they get free healthcare and education. No, they don’t.
Interesting Vance says he was Christian, then atheist, then became Catholic a few years ago. Why did he become an atheist? I’d like a little more info on that conversation.
Probably a “cultural” Christian because of his upbringing with MeMaw, then a atheist because he went to Yale, and now, as a husband and father he has grown up and is looking for wisdom beyond what this world can offer. Pretty natural progression, I think, for many people his age!
I understand that one of his mentors is Rod Dreher, the author of “Live Not by Lies” which I would highly recommend to any Treepers who have not read it yet!
Or an atheist in the Marines if he saw carnage. Funny, in a war zone, one can go back and forth, atheist, believer, atheist, believer. Same after coming home.
JD Vance definitely is not weird, unlike the Harris/Walz peeps.

I thought the interview was great. This format allows for a very good look at the person. I must say, Vance is a very smart young man. Resolute and concise on his positions. Very engaging as well. I hope he is how he presents himself. We desperately need new blood for the future if the republic is to survive. The only thing that bothers me is that connection to Thiel. Those types of connections always end up on the wrong road that doesn’t lead to good things for average, hard working Americans. I pray I am wrong….🇺🇸🇺🇸
That’s who got him the nomination. Peter Thiel and elon Musk, big tech personified. By his statement he probably means the Cali liberal side of tech

I’m fifteen minutes in to the Rogan Vance chat and I hear Vance explaining how POTUS may have arrived at his decision to select a VP nominee and Vance says:
“So he talks to one of the gardeners at Mar-A-Lago! to ask their thoughts on the matter” etc….
I’m immediately reminded of
“Chauncey Gardiner” played by Peter Sellers. “Chance The Gardener” in the film “Being There” is a savant type everyone becomes quickly convinced is some genius or titan of industry, in the great Hal Ashby film. Gardiner who soon became an advisor to the U.S. President.
I like the idea of getting rid of pharma ads. Staying with my 80 year old mother over the course of a month, I realized that it was one car ad, after pharma ad, after car ad, over and over and over…

Politically Trump and Vance are virtuoso.
My wife and I are glad to have already voted for them.
While we’re at it, is it O.K. to ask what makes America great?
Is it the human spirit that we have heard so much of in the Olympics?
Another question, why do sailors curse?
(I realize that question is almost blasphemous these days)
Is it a good idea for us to teach our children how to do this?
If so, let’s all learn how to do more of it.
Oh, I guess I’d better stop.
Don’t rock the boat.
I love Joe and the way he interviews. JD did great. The only thing I didn’t agree with Joe on is that he seems to blame “religion” for some of the controversial things going on in the country.
Abortion, while being opposed by most “religious” people, is not a “religious” topic or ideology. It is a moral one. Joe is still brainwashed by the “my body, my choice” idea and forgets that the unborn baby is not “your body” and that there are many ways to avoid the “inconvenience” of a pregnancy. I was also a little disappointed in JD for not pushing back on this.
That being said, between Trump’s 3 hours and JD’s 3 hours, it was the easiest 6 hours of conversation that I’ve listened to. Very informative and I feel smarter after having heard it.
I watched the whole 3+ hours of this interview.
I was disturbed about JD’s comment about wanting to hang out with Hunter and that Hunter is probably going to vote for Donald Trump.
I forgot to ask this on President Trump’s sit down with Rogan. What the h311 is up with the cluttered tabletop? In President Trump’s interview his side of the table was cleared somewhat. J.D.’s turn and all the clutter is on both aides. It has grown.
Is all that stuff on there necessary?

I watched the entire interview and slapped myself on the forehead when Rogan started saying the tired old lines about how can men make laws about what women can do with their bodies.
This logic is absurd, and it is the product of the same identity politics Rogan claims to abhor (I guess until it’s convenient).
The next time anyone sees Rogan, ask him this simple question: Was every legislator who voted in favor of helmet laws a motorcyclist? If not, how dare they tell motorcyclists what to do with their bodies?
So Joe, you’ve had these men for 6 hours total. Do they get your vote or not? Can we close the deal now?
