If I were writing a script for this I would let the debate be the public reason to replace Biden, and then as fallout use the age excuse against Trump. Making Joe Biden the old man useful for being the case-in-point of an additional Democrat reason why Trump cannot be president.

If it means coordinating with Joe’s team on what those questions should be – not a problem. If it means searching feverishly for a likely venue for a Biden-friendly response, then of course.
