They did it again. Joe Biden shouts gibberish for over an hour, muttering and shouting incoherent words during the State of the Union. All that was needed in rebuttal was normalcy. But no, Mitch McConnell and Mike Johnson had to deliver a “dramatic acting” rebuttal that was even more cringeworthy than Biden’s shouting.
Remember when Casey DeSantis was campaigning in the Melania heels, duck dynasty capris and grizzly mom T-shirt? This is the SOU rebuttal equivalent. It’s horrible. WATCH:

The biggest mistake is to have a politician (any politician) give the rebuttal. The people know that the political class is their enemy, they feel it every time they go to the grocery store or watch the news or pay their mortgage. The rebuttal should be from an ordinary Citizen who has never held government office and never worked in a government-dependent industry like media or defense. It should be “The People vs The Swamp.” Pick one of the Abbey-gate Gold Star family members. Or pick somebody from Palestine, Ohio or Eagle Pass, TX. Or a family member of somebody killed by an illegal alien. Give them all the lighting and makeup and set-staging help, but just let them tell their own story in their own words about how everything Biden has done destroys lives. Tell what the REAL state of the union is like.

I watched the whole rebuttal, and I have never been less impressed by a rebuttal. On another forum I compared it with the very worst acting moments of Jennifer Lawrence, who has sometimes been famously bad. Why don’t they put Harriet Hageman on there, they wouldn’t need anybody to write for her either. But I guess I have to agree with Sundance, that they don’t want there to be a good rebuttal on television. Democrat dominance suits them.
Cringeworthy … because I can’t get past her sobbing, breathless, delivery. I’m so distracted that I want to call a suicide prevention help line for her. Get this woman the therapy she so desperately needs. I’m not sobbing with her … I’m cringing at her.

The GOP response was awful. Absolutely awful. As a life long Republican I am sickened by a lifetime of being swindled out of my donations, activism and votes. I could have done nothing and achieved the same result as I did by voting GOP.
