For several years, CTH has been outlining the critical importance of fellowship. Living our best life requires us to put the importance of the human connection at the forefront. A priority that seems to have been purposefully torn apart.
Fellowship is the essential ingredient to a purposeful life. How and why we interact with each other is the how and why we recharge our core humanity. Isolation starts with a rebellion against God, and we must be conscious about the human need to be connected.
I will not divide my humanity, nor concede my core view of fellowship, simply to comply with the demand of another that I consider my brother or sister of greater or less equity than myself. Any business that chooses that path will not benefit from my economic participation. I also choose freedom!
Each of us has a different connection to our community. Each of us has a different level of internal strength… such is the nature of living. However, the distance between people is manifestly not a good outcome when combined with the lack of food for the soul.
Ultimately, it is the currency of human connection that is the true value in our lives.
We have each felt how our positive influence upon the lives of others nourishes our own sense of purpose and fulfillment. Do not lose that. Do not think you can compensate for that through other arbitrary measures; you cannot.
Our nation needs more people like you, right now. Don’t wait… engage life, get optimistic however you need to do it. Then let that part of you shine right now… This is how we fight. Hold up that flag; give the starter smile… rally to the standard you create and spread fellowship.
God knows we need it.

Agreed. We became a movement when the Tea Party was begun. We solidified around Trump and remain there today. But should we lose him, should he be denied the opportunity to run again and win again and again, we can not discontinue our solidarity of honest, solid, support of all things Constitutional; all things not corrupt; all things to help us be a beacon for the rest of the World and for truth, honesty and Democracy. I just lost a good friend to suicide. It is so hard knowing that I will never spend time with him in this life. But my grandson is spending the weekend with me and we went to see his grandpa(my ex-husband) at the nursing home where he has been for a year. He has dementia, but we enjoyed the visit.

grocery store, barber shop, etc. As I finish my transaction with them, I just ask them if they would like a flag pin (I show it to them) and if they say yes, I hand it to them….. no pitch, just the pin.

Another idea is to remind people that the 250th Birthday of the US is fast upon us on July 4, 2026. Ask friends and family and strangers if they want a dour, white-guilted, divisive “non-celebration” that ends up being no-fun with the elites being killjoys who disparage our Ancestors and Founding Fathers (and those who sweated and toiled and FOUGHT to build this Country)….. or do would rather have a totally fun rollicking, rootin-tootin , Star Spangled Holiday Celebration bursting with real patriotism and appreciation and fellowhship (and shit tons of FIREWORKS (not flashlights or drone shows) not seen since our Bicentennial in 1976???? I remember the bicentennial.That was my senior year in high school. I remember that they commercialized it to the hilt. There was even bicentennial eer for heaven’s sake. But at the same time I remember that there seemed to be a lot more optimism, patriotism and love for one’s fellow man. The left has been hard at work since then and it shows. We owe it to ourselves and to each other to live our best lives, remember what really matters, and help each other out whenever and however we can.
In these days I find great comfort in reading, meditating on and praying the Psalms. Hard times draw one closer to the Lord and to one another. Psalm 131 is a favorite; I have it memorized by heart! (Hah! Read it and you’ll see why!) Like a child in its mother’s arms, when I put total trust in Jesus, i know all will be all right. We are all strangers exiled in a strange world; in the world but not of it. Yet we sojourn in communion with one another toward a greater glory. I rarely comment, but find many treepers, Sundance, Neil Oliver, and so many people of good will my brothers and sisters in Truth. God’s beauty and grandeur shine on!

My wife overheard me listening to Neil Oliver and asked me about it. She’s isn’t very political and really doesn’t like it when I try to talk about current events. Yet, even she has a sense that something is drastically wrong. She does the shopping and is quite aware of real inflation and its unrelenting continuance. She’s aware of the rising crime, the homelessness, the drug problems and other indicators that can no longer be dismissed.
I tried to explain not just what Neil Oliver was saying but also what Sundance has to say about living your best life. She was receptive to all that I was relaying to her.
That’s good, hope you can get your wife fully aboard.
Meanwhile…if I’m “not alone,” why do I feel so alone? What can be done to correct this?
The human connection is so important in these times! Isolation breeds despair. I decided to volunteer with our local CASA group – Court Appointed Advocacy Services for minor children in the foster system. I feel the need to give back somehow, to spread love and kindness. This seemed a good fit.
Today my husband and I went to the city Grits Cook-off and the last city Farmer’s Market of this year. It was a beautiful fall day to be out in our community, and we saw many that we hadn’t seen in a while. It felt good to be out and part of our town. I highly recommend it.
I find I have to compartmentalize the people around me. I don’t know anyone outside of my sons that’s truly a fellow traveler. For instance, the hiking groups that I’ve been associated with are from Portland Oregon (closest big city to me). The people in these groups are liberals.
The main thing I have in common with my conservative friends is our political views. We don’t do much outside of visits, BBQs and sometimes a fishing trip. They much prefer their lazyboy recliner, 82 inch TV and the TV remote to a pair of boots and a rucksack.
The only fellow travelers I have are my sons.
You are lucky to have sons that carry on your wisdom and fellowship with you.

When my children were under constant threat during those poison death shot “mandates,” the odds seemed insurmountable at times. But I know in my heart what God wants for His children.
I exhorted those with “ears to hear” NOT to give up, but to lean into God and give to Him our burdens, until the madness passes us by. The road to salvation is a narrow one.
My prayers were answered. I thank God every single day that we didn’t “give up 5 minutes before” that miracle happened.
Christians WILL be tested, over and over again. That is a promise, it is written, so steel your nerves and get right with God. NOW.
Hope can never be taken from you. It can only be given up.

This may be the first time that I ever disagreed with Neil Oliver. As a wise old Judge once said, “There are men who need hanging, but never a horse that needs stealing.” I’ll paraphrase: “There are terrorist that need to be carpet bombed, but never a child, baby, or young woman that need beheading and/or raped because of their religious preference.” Capital punishment would bring such actions to a grinding, screeching halt.

Why do you think the theme of all the power struggles and takeovers of the world always involve the children; from early man children always become a burden; then an expendable burden.
