In an effort to keep the Daily Open Thread a little more open topic we are going to start a new daily thread for “Presidential Politics”. Please use this thread to post anything relating to the JoeBama Administration and Presidency.
“This is no small thing, to restore a republic after it has fallen into corruption. I have studied history for years and I cannot recall it ever happening. It may be that our task is impossible. Yet, if we do not try then how will we know it can’t be done? And if we do not try, it most certainly won’t be done. The Founders’ Republic, and the larger war for western civilization, will be lost.”
“But I tell you this: We will not go gently into that bloody collectivist good night. Indeed, we will make with our defiance such a sound as ALL history from that day forward will be forced to note, even if they despise us in the writing of it.”
This thread will refresh daily and appear above the Open Discussion Thread.

Jack Smith, Garland’s handpicked special counsel, is already revealing the same partisan zeal that got him reversed 8-0 by the Supreme Court in 2016.
It’s not a crime to object to presidential elections, just like Democrats did in 1969, 2001, 2005, and 2017.
Fishing expedition.

Now, we all know the probable 2020 vote numbers were 81M for Trump and 75M (and thats being generous) for the occupant. So, sticking with the approved narrative, the pickle the GOPrick RINOrats have is if they choose DeSantis or someone else and keep Trump out, they have to meet or exceed 75M and still lose. What happens if DeSantis or whoever doesn’t break 70M?

From 1992-2020, Republicans never beat a Democrat congressional incumbent in California.
Since then, the CA GOP has done it five times.
Why? They learned how to prioritize early voting, ballot harvest, and invest in ground game.
Do this in every swing state and we win again.
2/. Oh our 2024 Republican nominee for president is having a huge rally in Michigan?
Put a drop box outside the rally and tell everyone to bring an absentee ballot
3/. California Republicans got so good at ballot harvesting that the Democrat attorney general of the state sued to stop them from doing it. Elections today are not games of persuasion. They are ballot counting operations. We need GOP leadership that understands that.

Agree — it’s like Sundance says, winning is about ballots, not voters. I never understood why the CA GOP didn’t get good at ballot harvesting, since it’s legal there. Glad to see they finally stopped complaining and woke up to beat them at their own game.
Also, do what Ohio did, and clean up your voter rolls. We got rid of dead people, people who moved, or inactive voters. The Supreme Court upheld it when the libs challenged it, and now we’re held up with FL as a standard for elections. Plus, we don’t do mail-in ballots — only absentee ballots that are requested with voter ID are sent out. Ohio knows how many absentee ballots they send out, and on election day, they know how many are still outstanding that could come in postmarked but after election day. That’s why our voting doesn’t drag on for days — the votes are all accounted for.

NEW YORK (AP) — Donald Trump’s company was convicted of tax fraud Tuesday for helping executives dodge taxes on extravagant perks such as Manhattan apartments and luxury cars, a repudiation of financial practices at the former president’s business as he mounts another run for the White House.
A jury found two corporate entities at the Trump Organization guilty on all 17 counts, including charges of conspiracy and falsifying business records. Trump himself was not on trial. The verdict in state court in New York came after about 10 hours of deliberations over two days.
The conviction was validation for New York authorities who say their three-year investigation into Trump and his businesses is continuing. The probe, which began as an inquiry into hush-money payments made on Trump’s behalf, later morphed into an examination of the company’s asset valuation and pay practices.
The company faces a fine of up to $1.6 million. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 13. The defense said it will appeal.

More theater; all part of memory holing the destruction of the Covid operation. Expect more of it. Pretty soon we’ll get to the Hillary-ism ‘What difference, at this point, does it make?’ response to Ron Johnson. Expect it.
