In an effort to keep the Daily Open Thread a little more open topic we are going to start a new daily thread for “Presidential Politics”. Please use this thread to post anything relating to the JoeBama Administration and Presidency.
“This is no small thing, to restore a republic after it has fallen into corruption. I have studied history for years and I cannot recall it ever happening. It may be that our task is impossible. Yet, if we do not try then how will we know it can’t be done? And if we do not try, it most certainly won’t be done. The Founders’ Republic, and the larger war for western civilization, will be lost.”
“But I tell you this: We will not go gently into that bloody collectivist good night. Indeed, we will make with our defiance such a sound as ALL history from that day forward will be forced to note, even if they despise us in the writing of it.”
This thread will refresh daily and appear above the Open Discussion Thread.

Exposing the fallacy
Excellent article! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for posting this short read. A great piece that should be read by everyone.
Thanks, TM10, Good article, good links. I did not know about Eisenhower’s warning wrt technical elites.
If this doesn’t tell you the Russian military isn’t taking Nikolaev, Odessa and Transnistria, I don’t know what will. It’s hard to see through the car passenger window, but try.

Please provide some excerpts.
Or you could look on a map. I know Americans are not good with geography. Are we your secretary?
Comment guidelines: do not post links without an explanation of the reason, purpose and content that is behind the link
Many of us don’t want to click on random links, and if it’s a link to a video many of us don’t have time to watch a video. A few excerpts are helpful and would take you less than a minute to post in your comment, probably the same amount of time you spent flinging an insult at me.
Your response was very courteous, Serena. Nicely done.
Here’s the link to the comment guidelines, maybe you’ve never seen them: https://theconservativetreehouse.com/guidelines-for-comments/
The guy gave a clear explanation of the content.
It is about Russian operations in Ukiepuke outside of Donbass.
Duh.
‘First, seek to UNDERSTAND.’
That is also in the commenting guidelines.
He wrote: “If this doesn’t tell you the Russian military isn’t taking Nikolaev, Odessa and Transnistria, I don’t know what will. It’s hard to see through the car passenger window, but try.”
Then just excerpt the important parts and also provide the link. How hard is that? It looks like click bait, like he’s deliberately trying to route people over to click on links and earn the target some money. I don’t play that game. This site is for sharing info so we can all learn and analyze, not to earn money for other sites.
You are correct. May I add, that Mr. Gaynor could have cut / pasted the most salient point(s) for everyone’s benefit, rather than snarking at a fellow traveler.
Easy now. We’re all on the same team. And that’s two teammates you’ve gone after. I think I have to second AGar.
If we’re all on the same team then why are you taking sides? 🙂
Seems like there’s more than just two.
I don’t have tolerance for certain types of people.
You’ve made that abundantly clear throughout this thread.
Russia’s not taking most of the Ukraine because they don’t want it.
Yet Putin claims he’s also in Ukraine to “de nazify it.
He still has a chance to claim “mission accomplished” by withdrawing to the 4 eastern ethnic Russian provinces and squatting.
We’re talking about the Black Sea region….geography……
Whoa! What a sight to see on the way to the store or coming home from work or school, eh?
Yikes!
Yes, there’s much about that stark little clip that says somebody means business.
Frankly I’m at a bit of a loss how this clip demonstrates that Russia isn’t interested in the areas you cited.
It’d be mighty kind of you to flesh out your thoughts a bit, help us understand how this supports your conclusion.
Personally, I see a strong likelihood of all of Novorussyia being retaken, and the remaining rump state being chastened and cut loose for their neighbors to deal with and annex bits of it as they see fit.
Curt and terse commentary are fine, we all do it at times I imagine, but it seems there’s a degree of divination required here and while I’m not interested in getting snarked at for asking I am actually interested in what you are thinking on this matter.
This is the best article ever on the Russian Nordstream pipes. I was certainly wiling to believe this was sabotage for many reasons but what he presents here (in almost entertaining language) makes me realize it could easily have NOT have been that. Kind of reassuring actually. Here it is…
https://thelawdogfiles.com/2022/09/nordstream.html
Lawdog describes a coincidence, actually given the technical play a series of coincidences, of which we know there are none.
Who shot the photo of the bubbles, and where are those bubbles from?
Makes perfect sense to me.
Lawdog over looks a just a minor point … the “pressure he cites” can be controlled from wither end of the line.
Then there all those pesky stories he he leaves out about WESTERN SOURCES repairs NOT doing the repairs …. you know the embargoes and sanctions.
Other small detail is this requires NO SPECIAL OPS support, planning or execution.
I suppose nations being in a hurry to immediately claim sabotage vs at least calling for an investigation and cite at least the posibility of a technical issue.
There is more to cite … this article is written by a buffoon who knows jack and understands zero of the political environment.
The comments in the Lawdog articles on the Nord Stream pipeline are also very illuminating; it seems many are from individuals with long time experience in the oil field, on land and underwater pipeline experiences too.
After following many news sites and listening to all the neocons, left-wing and right-wing, after reading both of that site, Lawdog, two posts and all the comments on them, I am more inclined to believe it is
(a) bad maintenance or operations on the Russians part, and
(b) Putin is not letting a crisis go to waste since the majority of the world believes it is a sabotage by the Americans, it becomes to Russia’s benefit to further cement the BRICS nations and those thinking of joining them since they now have a common-to-distrust boogeyman.
Time will tell what is the truth of the matter.
I believe, weather permitting, the Swedes plan on sending a sub of some sort down to the pipes to take a look tomorrow or sometime this week.
I suspect that it will be easy to determine whether the pipe breaks were due to methane hydrate plugs or high explosive demolition.
BTW – Lawdog is wrong about natural gas/methane being explosive. It is not explosive, unless it is mixed with oxygen or some other oxidizer. It is unlikely that there was enough oxygen down at the bottom of the sea to enable an explosion.
The fact that the gas is not burning when it emerges from the sea supports this contention.
Yep, in those instances oxygen in some form is required for combustion. Oxidizer could be encapsulated and sent down the line, as one posit, and combined with an ignition source and release mechanism, provide the makings for an internal explosion.
If I wanted a demolition to look like the controlling entity did it, that’s how I’d go. External demolition will look obvious and everyone will be pointing fingers at everyone else. Perhaps that’s the goal, chaos. IDK.
What a waste of the work product of skilled constructors. That’s how I always view this stuff, if sabotage, beyond the obvious monetary and political fallout. We take pride in our work.
Glad to here the Swedes are doing that; what they conclude will be important to getting to the bottom of this event;
think it was some other chemical that the Lawdog comments were saying was explosive, something to do with the pressure mixture and buildup of some co-existing chemical in the mix of the stuff being piped, which is beyond my knowledge.
“the majority of the world believes it is a sabotage by the Americans,” Joe Biden and Tony Blinken contributed to that belief with their own comments. Did anyone else in this administration make similar comments?
.
Doc00 — who is “lawdog”? I thought it strange that he made a point of assumptively referring to and discounting, mockingly, sabotage by “Spec Ops”. Why would he make the unstated assumption that if the destruction was sabotage, it would have been done by “Spec Ops”, i.e. the United States. Also odd that he referred to special operations generally, and not, e.g. “SEALs”.
.
saw your question, found this – apparently this Lawdog blog is written by a retired, 20 years, Texas law officer, previous US military experience, an American citizen who’s parents were in the petroleum industry so he grew up in Africa and the Middle East , according to this on his blog:
https://thelawdogfiles.com/2022/10/time-for-le-grand-volant.html
I found his blog because Clarice Feldman’s Clarice’s Pieces column on Sunday at The American Thinker excerpted from his musing about the incident being Russian incompetence since in the past the Russians had similar explosive situations with regards to pipeline maintenance, not to mention their maintenance record at Chernobyl, which had a ring of reasonableness about it, given when all else fails don’t overlook basic human stupidity.
.
Thank you, Bessie. Info is appreciated.
I’m wondering why you keep pushing this theory though when it’s logically been debunked. By the way… Chernobyl is in the Ukraine. 🙂
.
Chernobyl was the Soviet Union to boot.
Sometimes I wonder if folks don’t push ideas simply because they thought it up and are too proud of themselves to think a little harder.
I’m wondering if the CIA, taking a leaf out of the FBI Playbook, didn’t have operatives weasel into some Far Green cell, gain their confidence and provide drugs, money, underwater gear and explosives. That might give the US Government plausible deniability and the Green Meanies and the Biden Boys get what they want?
Read an article that I’m still kicking myself for not saving about supposed underwater operations being taught to Ukrainians by “our” folks earlier this year, looked like just the ticket for this kind of op.
Not to say we didn’t facilitate almost all of it, leaving just enough for others to have their fingerprints on it instead.
Getting so tired of the sick destructive skullduggery of the Derp State.
.
Apparently you have missed two days’ worth of comments on this article explaining why “accidents” arising from a commonly-known issue just don’t happen simultaneously in the same geographical vicinity to two different pipelines that are operating under very different conditions. ONE might be plausible. TWO, no.
.
Or in more American reference terms… when the plane struck the first tower on 9/11 the assumption was that it was a horrible accident. When a second plane hit the second tower we knew it was a deliberate terrorist action.
One pipeline explosion could be chalked up to an accident. Two separate pipelines on the same day? Sounds like deliberate terrorist action.
Mostly the left doesn’t need to cheat in the second and third world.
Poverty means the vast majority of the population want other people’s assets and work product.
And that’s the left’s standard mo so they are the natural party of government
And when the assets are gone?
Our descendants here are going to find out the answer to that.

I just heard Mike Davis on Warroom, saying Jim Jordan is a big problem when it comes to fighting big tech. Davis claimed that Jordan whips republicans against bills that try to make big tech accountable.
That said- and I’m not sure either way- what the feeling on him leading any investigations should republicans take back the house in Nov?
Do some research. What were in the bills? People are describing them as “moderate” and “common sense” … were they? Why did Jordan and more than 100 other Republicans and even some Democrats vote against them? 168 Republicans voted against one of the bills.
Never discount the fact that Big Tech has a lot of money to throw around to politicians who don’t get in Big Tech’s way or don’t try to pull in the leash and make them more accountable.
Did you see how much Google gave to Jordan for the 2020 election? It was a pittance. And in early 2021 they announced they wouldn’t donate to people who voted against certifying the 2020 election. Jordan voted against certification so I assume that means he’s not getting any money from Google. More details on both of these things in one of my comments below.
Also know that Jordan had made an attempt to rein in big tech, but when Dems in control of Congress there was no hope for this bill.
https://republicans-energycommerce.house.gov/news/press-release/rodgers-jordan-release-new-legislation-to-rein-in-big-tech-abuses-of-section-230/
Leader Rodgers and Leader Jordan are releasing a discussion draft of legislation to overhaul Section 230 that:
Jordan takes big tech donations.
How much did he take from them? Which companies? How many other Republicans take big tech donations?
Do your research.
Did somebody just have a bad day, or are you always like this? Why don’t you do your own research and stop criticizing every Treeper who states an opinion with which you disagree. Give it (or us) a rest for God’s sake.
I’m not making the claim that Jordan is now a bad person because some other dude said he is. I’m telling the people who are acting like lemmings to do their own research and find out if other dude is correct. (Hint: I know he isn’t.)
I’ve already provide some info but I shouldn’t have to do their work for them. Part of being a good citizen and a good voter and a good human being is taking the time to dig for info and vet claims. Everybody should be doing it.
The person making an assertion or claim provides the proof. In this case … “Lulu” needs to step up and put her link where her comment is. It has always been thus.
And for the record, I’m not a Jordan fan because I think he’s another Trey Gowdy, without the jacket. And no, I’m not gonna attach a picture of him trying to look tough without his coat. You’ll have to do your own research on that.
So in your convoluted perspective, people should be able to post any claim they wish and without proof? I am, here and now, claiming that “SwanRiverGriz” is a member of a “Napoleon Bonaparte III” tribute band.
By your standards, the onus is on you to turn your world upside down to save your honor. To prove that negative, from your perspective, would involve what exactly? You would probably have to start accounting for all your free time, every day, going back to your childhood. After all, if you played in that “Napoleon Bonaparte III” tribute band, it could have been for one disgusting set and never again, but I’d still be correct. That is unreasonable.
Reasonable people would simply ask me, “What proof do you have?” After all, if I’m claiming this, I must have seen your band, know reputable people that did, have some of your albums, saw a “Behind the Music” special etc. It should take me all of a few minutes if I’m not a liar.
Do you see the difference?
Jan 25 2021: Alphabet Inc’s Google said on Monday it will not make contributions from its political action committee this election cycle to any Congress member who voted against certifying the results of the presidential election. (https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-corporate-google/google-stops-donations-to-u-s-congress-members-who-voted-against-election-results-idUSKBN29V0EW)
Jordan voted against certifying the 2020 results. Google must not be giving him any money the2022 election cycle.
Did you see how much he got from them for the 2020 cycle? $10k. Out of something like $18 million.
Now you can fill in the rest of the info.
Please provide some more excerpts 🙂
Google gave donations to quite a few candidates including Devin Nunes, Elise Stefanik, and Steve Scalise. They probably ended up donating to Trump too via a PAC.

I am not fully informed on this issue to make a judgement, but….
I saw some video clips of Jim Jordan, Scott Perry, etc explaining objections to the big tech bill.
They say it did very little to reign in big tech, and nothing about censorship, but gave $140 million to DOJ for enforcement. Who trusts the DOJ?
And as someone stated above he has a much tougher plan. Maybe he wants to wait to see if Repubs control the legislative agenda in a few months to get a stronger bill????
*******
House Judiciary GOP
@JudiciaryGOP
39 Republicans voted for a bill that has nothing to do with Big Tech monopolies.
168 Republicans voted against giving Merrick Garland’s DOJ $140 million, including the chairman of the House Freedom Caucus,
@RepMTG, etc.
But sure, “conservative opposition.”
It’s awful that the Newsmax headline says Jordan “backs” or “sides with” big tech. That’s like what people are saying now about DeSantis voting against aid for hurricane Sandy victims in 2013. He voted against a bad bill, not against aid. Too much pork in these Dem-sponsored bills
It’s a bane of society. No one reads their car’s owner’s manual either!
Mike Davis from the Article 3 Project was on WarRoom and said Jordan isn’t all he comes off as and has been protecting Big Tech. What a shame.
Jim Jordan has proven himself to be a good guy over and over again.
Interesting. Lula has approximately the same percentage as Bolsonaro plus other candidates. This is how the cheaters can win and make it look realistic.
There’s another election on Oct 30, just Lula and Bolsonaro. It will be close and Lula will win, right?

…from 2020. I’m not trying to demoralize people. I’m voting in this election, like I have in every election, but as I have posted before on this site, voting ourselves out of this mess is the third most likely outcome.
At some point voting will again become healthy and effective. I don’t expect it to solve our current societal malaise but it’s still an elemental part of our great Republic and I respect that.
Small fish of an inconsequential nature will be ‘sacrificed’ along the way; in nearly all cases I would expect their sacrifice to be minimal and the machine will reward them for their devotion to the fatherland.
Hence, there is no deterrent value for Communists to behave in any way different than customary and usual for them, and election fraud will continue. It’s all so ‘civilized’.
OMG. From your Gateway Pundit link:
In June 2022, the defendant admitted in court to bribing the Judge of Elections for the 39th Ward, 36th Division in South Philadelphia in a fraudulent scheme over several years. Myers admitted to bribing the election official to illegally add votes for certain candidates of their mutual political party in primary elections. […] Myers also admitted to conspiring to commit election fraud with another former Judge of Elections for the 39th Ward, 2nd Division in South Philadelphia.
So can I assume that the Judges of Elections will also be doing some prison time? Or did they rat on Myers to avoid imprisonment?
And look at that. Just one person can fudge the votes. One person.
Watch from 13 minutes. USA bombing NS1/2 and then wipe the flight.
Question. How will Putin respond?
CLICK BAIT! I watched this video and there is no proof that plane bombed anything.
I saw this earlier so I’m presuming the flight which is strange and does follow the affected section of pipeline is presumed to be possibly involved in what happened, as a function of monitoring or effecting some manner of communication or activation, but no assertion was made that it delivered explosives.

I crave a site where conservative ideas can be aired. And serious dissent? Have at me..
I now wonder if a democratic, liberal society can possibly work in a society of universal plurality.
Will women tolerate free speech?

Democracy, liberal democracy remains an experiment among women and minorities.

Train victim’s mom slams ‘complete animals’ in bizarre neon leotards who assaulted, robbed NYC teens
“She was home from college. Now she’s getting chest X-rays and CAT scans,” the mother said. “She was supposed to be back in school this morning, but [not now] because of her injuries from being stomped in the head by 10 grown ass women.”
“She’s in excruciating pain,” the mom said.
“When she breathes, it hurts. In one video, you can see the one girl kicked her and got her foot caught in my daughter’s purse strap. My daughter is tiny. She’s 5-foot-4. That one beast.
“My daughter, thank goodness, has no marks on her face. One of them had a knife strapped to their leg. Thank got nothing else happened. [The daughter] has bruises on both of her arms and legs. One of them bit her shoulder. She has a bite mark through her clothes.”
The other teenage victim’s mom added to The Post that her daughter “was vomiting last night from the concussion, and we’re waiting to get a CAT scan of her head.
“There was a woman with red curly hair, and she was helping [the teen]. And there was a man who took his sweatshirt off and helped the girls. He got hit. My daughter, she had like five of the girls on her at one time. [She and her friend] were both punched in the face.”

I was just reading an article about Trump’s possible 2024 run. The article says Trump’s largest PAC, the Save America PAC, had raised $99.1 million before the FBI raid and it received a lot more contributions after the raid. Because he’s not running for office he can use that money however he wishes and there’s no limit to the contributions. But if he decides to run technically he’s not allowed to use any of that money for his 2024 campaign, he has to start a new fund and he can move only $5k from the PAC to his new fund. I’m assuming that this is one of the reasons why he is delaying announcing, he and his legal and financial teams are trying to figure out how best to handle his political finances.
There’s more info here: https://www.npr.org/2022/08/24/1118946905/trump-pac-money-fec It’s NPR so don’t expect the article to be unbiased, but it does contain some good factual info.

thx for verbalizing
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/09/23/trump-super-pac-midterms/
A new Donald Trump-backed super PAC was formed on Friday, as the former president seeks to exert more influence in November’s midterm contests ahead of a possible 2024 bid for the White House. Importantly, the super PAC could also be used to hold in reserve cash for that bid that can’t currently finance a campaign of his own because it’s sitting in a leadership PAC, a type of committee barred from that sort of spending. The super PAC is called Make America Great Again Inc., according to paperwork filed with the Federal Election Commission. It is the latest in a string of Trump-aligned committees to bear that name. It supplants Make America Great Again, Again!, which was registered last fall and has raised about $15 million and spent about $5 million. Most of Trump’s fundraising since he left the Oval Office has benefited a leadership PAC called Save America, which has broad latitude in distributing funds, including to cover travel, pay advisers and, as numerous law enforcement investigations intensify, defray legal costs. One notable restriction is that such PACs can’t be used by candidates to finance their own political campaigns, meaning the money would have to be transferred out of the committee to power a new presidential campaign.
He’s preparing. 🙂

Good work, Sister! 🙂
I agree.
I agree. The best President America has had since I have been alive!! I just wish we here, could borrow him to set this country straight, after what Castro jr has done to this once beautiful Canada. Praying for his safety, the D liberal, commies there are worse than what we have, so far. I know what they, the guberment did to our brave Trucker Convoy was appalling. Any American politician serving the people that does not want to work with such a wonderful man PDJT, well they hate their own country, we see. Ship them to North Korea or China, better still straight to hell, as they are all evil and corrupt. God Bless PDJT and his Family!!
NEW — A federal judge in Texas ruled that the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s guidance allowing exceptions for LGBT employees from workplace policies on bathrooms, dress codes, and locker rooms was unlawful.
The EEOC’s June 2021 guidance improperly interpreted the US Supreme Court landmark 2020 ruling that federal anti-bias law prohibits job discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, according to an Oct. 1 ruling from Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk, a Donald Trump appointee on the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas, where the high court merely established that an employer can’t discriminate against a worker for their sexuality or gender identity but doesn’t protect an employee’s “correlated conduct.” (Bloomberg Law)

The woke US Army’s latest Special Forces graduating class.
I am underwhelmed.
One might be tempted to cite their diminutive height as minimizing the target they present, but they over-compensated with their girth . . .
most of them would have trouble scaling their own a$$es over a wall, no way they’re getting over with another 50 pounds of backpack and rifle and ammo and water
Standards will be lowered.
Further than they already have been.
‘Cuz Equity Uber Alles! It’s all about duh feelz . . .
They would be laughed out of their so-called mission by any other countries military. Imagine, China, Russia and many other. Lord God help us, this world is not what you intended it to be. Please Heavenly Father, we need your divine intervention. Praying in Jesus’ Holy name. Amen Amin!
As your wonderful President DJT would say ” They are not sending their best”. An embarrassment, hoping this is a joke and not real. Special Forces? For what? Who can eat the most hotdogs/s.
nah – you’re joking, right?
if that’s true, it’s a way to give promotions and premium pay to the undeserving, spread the ‘woke’ ransom around, divvying up the spoils amongst ‘just us’
same with the “armed” IRS agents
everyone freaks out at the “armed” aspect as a dangerous escalation, yada yada
most everyone fails to recognize that it’s a means of giving those 87,000 employees extra pay and an advanced position, with pay and benefits that carry all the way thru to retirement and beyond
anyone in Fed employ who carries a gun gets special law-enforcement pay rate, good for probably a grade or two above their initial pay
furthermore, I doubt that that cadre of schlubs could carry off a typical special forces mission
I wanna see the footage of them carrying the Zodiac inflatable pontoon boat outta the surf on their heads at Coronado … that exact crew right there
guy I roomed with was in underwater demolition after scrubbing out of SEAL training
blew his knee out carrying another guy outta the surf at Coronado on his shoulders
washed him out
big, strapping, endurance athlete of a guy, about 6’3
