Hah! Garlic. Giant supermarket near me never carries a head of garlic from anywhere other than China! My personal “supply chain” continues to eliminate suppliers. It really is quite amazing to realize just how much we can do without and not miss.

Fuel cost’s more so does everything else. Doesn’t matter to the elite I’m certain.
There are so many reasons why that is healthier. Certain vitamins like Vit A appear really strong in those squash pumpkin and sweet potato and all those yellow and orange veggies. Then they actually stay in your fat and you use them as you get a break. We’re under loading and overloading on all kinds of nutrients and vitamins b/c people like myself don’t even know what food goes with what season.
And WHY are we getting any food from China?
Their land mass is the same size as ours, they have 300 milion farmers, but they have to feed ONE BILLION people and there is only a small area in China that can be farmed.
Why are their slaves underfeeding their own malnourished people in the countryside who then eat actual disgusting snakes, rats, dogs, cats and bats and all that from wet markets plus just other desperation eating while the big Commies at the top undercut OUR American farmers to purposefully weaken and bankrupt us?

Agree Falana. I remember reading somewhere that China was once a more agricultural society, but thanks to our intervention, they shifted to manufacturing. As you correctly state, their land mass is at least our size and I believe they are not utilizing land that is farmable. They don’t care about feeding their people. They have used their people to make them a powerful, industrial nation. Profitable for them and our political class. “Favored nation” status shifted them into overdrive.
Sourcing any food or drugs from them is a threat to our population. Trying to uncover where foods come from is nearly impossible since Obama’s administration enabled the labels to shift from “made in” to “distributed by”.
Our farmers did themselves no favors by throwing in with subsidies and the global conglomerates. Much like our small business owners, our family farmers are being driven out.
Several years ago I was sent to Gloucester MA to pick up a load of frozen fish bound for some grocery DC in Champagne, IL. Now Gloucester is the oldest continuously inhabited fishing port in Massachusetts. The place I went to was right down on the water and I will never forget the drive in going down streets that were once wagon trails with the front doors of the old houses opening practically onto the road. I just couldn’t believe that I was on a truck route but in fact I went exactly the right way to get to the place.
Funny thing was that none of the several types of fish I was loaded with were from Massachusetts. Some were farm raised in China and called “Basa” which I was told was a kind of Chinese catfish.
I had to have the shipper make a note because the FDA inspector has pulled one of the boxes for testing from one of the pallets.
I don’t buy farm raised fish from anywhere but the US and even then I don’t buy Tilapia. At fish farms they raise sea bass and then after the sea bass are harvested they put Tilapia fry in because they eat the sea bass crap.
BTW when frozen fish are transported by truck the refer unit is set at -10 F, the same as for ice cream.
Thanks Rah for this information. Well over 15 years ago, our friend owned a restaurant and gave us an education on tilapia and chilean sea bass. As far as any “farm raised”, I won’t touch it. From what I understand the deep sea fish like cod, swordfish cannot be farm raised, so they are the better choice.
I’m not picky and I eat bottom feeders and in fact Monk Fish is my favorite fish. It’s a bottom feeder and an ugly fish to boot but it is known as “the poor mans lobster” and when prepared correctly I like it better than any lobster or crab I have ever had. But for what ever reason the Tilapia thing is a bridge too far for me.

He never tires of bringing us to the one point until we learn the lesson, because He is producing the finished product. It may be a question of impulse, and again and again, with the most persistent patience, God has brought us back to the one particular point; or it may be mental wool-gathering, or independent individuality. God is trying to impress upon us the one thing that is not entirely right.
We have been having a wonderful time this Session over the revelation of God’s Redemption, our hearts are perfect towards Him; His wonderful work in us makes us know that in the main we are right with Him. “Now,” says the Spirit, through St. James, “let your endurance be a finished product.” Watch the slipshod bits – “Oh, that will have to do for now.” Whatever it is, God will point it out with persistence until we are entirely His.

Hard truckin again this week.
Out Sunday at 11:00 bound for the Nestle’s campus in Breinigsville, PA with a load of Boost in a dry van. Wanted to get some Chicken on the way and pulled into the very busy Sommerset service area on the PA turnpike which has a Popeyes. After finally finding a place to park, went iArrin only to find Popeyes was closed.
Arrived at Nestle’s at 22:10 and dropped the loaded trailer and started looking for an empty. Looked the 100 plus trailers and couldn’t find one. though there was one our trailers in a door that had the red light on. Yard Jockey told me they were moving slow that night and it may be hours before that trailer got unloaded. So I bobtailed out the Bull Pen and took my 10 hour break.
Next morning the trailer that was in the door the night before was empty. Hooked up and took off for Pilipsburg, PA up north of State College for my first pickup. Beautiful drive through the hill country on US 322 and being empty made it that much better in the hills. Facility at Philipsburg had me in the door for 1 1/2 hours though they only loaded 6 pallets on me.
Next stop Ridgway, PA where I was loaded with a bunch more. Next stop the company terminal in Vandalia, OH (Dayton airport). Now several times before on this run I have made it back to Vandalia without having to take another 10 hour break. Not this time! Construction is a time killer and there were two places along I-80 in PA down to one lane with long backups. Then the ramp onto I-76 was closed in Akron requiring a detour.
I stopped to take my break at the TA truck stop at Lodi where I-76 terminates into I-71. Still had a couple hours left on my clock but there was no way I was making it to Vandalia anyway and that TA had a Popeyes! Got parked and walked into the truck stop at 20:40 to be greeted by a sign at Popeyes “New Store Hours”! They closed at 20:00.
Next morning I drove to Vandalia, dropped the loaded trailer in a door there and hooked to an empty in a door and brought it back to the terminal in Anderson.
Wednesday morning I was supposed to depart with a Refer trailer full of Nestle’s product at 05:30. However it was not ready until 06:00. 41,300 lb of Nestle’s product in a refer bound for the Giant Foods DC in Carlisle, PA. Got there and took my break at the Bull Pen outside of their break after checking in. Delivery appointment was 05:30 but they called me at 04:36 and gave me a door assignment.
Once unloaded and having paid the Lumper and transflowed the paperwork I sat for three hours. During that time I ran the trailer unit at 98 deg to dry the condensation in the trailer. The aluminum floor of a refer trailer can be very slick when wet.
Then it off once again to pickup in Philipsburg and Ridgway. This time I made it back to the terminal in Vandalia without taking a break but it was very close. Not only had to deal with the same construction and detours, this time the ramp off I-76 onto I-71 was closed and I had to go down US 224 a ways and find a place to turn back to catch the ramp coming in the other way. Then in Columbus the ramp from I-71 to I-270 was closed!
So I pulled into the Vandalia terminal with no time left on my drive or duty clocks. Dropped the trailer in a door and went and took my break out on the street. Next morning I hooked to the empty refer trailer, took it back to the Anderson terminal, fueled it and cleaned out the inside and then took it over to Nestle’s across the street and dropped it there.
This has been the third week in a row with a day of OT and the 2nd week in a row where I worked Sunday through Friday.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

BTW snow and ice in Southern Brazil this week. In fact S. America has had several colder than average winters in a row. Frigid polar air brings very rare snowfall, icy rains to southern Brazil – Watts Up With That?
Most of southern Brazil is closer to the equator than the southern tip of Florida.
BTW you may ask how does the effect me? Well if your a coffee drinker the fact is Brazil is the largest grower of Arabica coffee beans in the world and coffee futures are way up. So expect the cost of your cup of Joe to increase faster than the already inflated prices we are seeing the grocery store these days.
Just a quick (silly??) question – why are beans grown in Brazil known as ‘Arab(ica) coffee beans??. Do they look similar, were brought over, what?? – one would think that Arabica coffee beans were grown and came from Arab(ica) – So then why would an obviously desert/dry area crop end up growing in the steamy rain forest?? Watts up with that?

Our cat loves to sit in the bay window in our small dining room. Today I saw a humming bird just tease the heck out her. It was going after the flowers and then saw her and came up and hovered as they do, moving quickly back and forth. The more agitated the cat got the more it teased her. That was a first for me.
