Fauci is their scapegoat. Fauci has always been the intended scapegoat. The decision makers out there did what they did knowing that if it came back on them, they would blame Fauci for defining the “science” they were “only following.”
This isn’t working out so well for California’s governor… or the others for that matter.
If they didn’t have Fauci as a scapegoat, they would never have even tried this.
But this news that Obama authorized this just before he left office? Well… that’s Fauci’s “out” in a way too. Is he going to work ever again after this? I should think not. But it doesn’t appear he was operating off the books either. Is this going to come back on Obama? No. They have their scapegoat. It is Fauci.
The media values protecting Obama far, far more than protecting an advanced “useful idiot” like Fauci.
