Here in Killer Cuomo’s Gulag, it appeared that news of President Trump catching the dreaded Corona virus stoked up the mask Nazis to even greater heights. I can tell you from my FB groups around the state that this is being used against us to tighten the screws.
Today I worked on Main St. in one of the beautiful Hudson River towns north of the NYC. Close to 100% of the freaks were muzzled walking around OUTSIDE in the beautiful sunshine. And the muzzles have gotten bigger so that more of the face is covered. I can’t imagine walking around like that all day. You have to be completely insane or in such a state of fear that you think you’re gonna drop dead if you accidentally inhale some fresh air.
I also see rampant child abuse- young kids playing sports OUTDOORS after school and today WEARING THE DAMN MASKS while playing soccer, etc. WTF is wrong with the parents and school officials who force these children to run around with these filthy cloths on their faces?
I am hoping and praying that our President Trump comes out of that hospital in record time and shoves this Covid BS right up their asses, especially that evil Midget Faux Chi.

Sweden did not use any of those things and they are doing better than most of the world. They did what the USA used to do for pandemics. These new precautions are not based on science or proven to be effective.
There was no reason to switch to a new paradigm where healthy people are quarantined, in addition to sick people. Historically only sick people get quarantined.
There are always asymptomatic carriers. COVID-19 is no different than any other disease in that regard. The addition of masks to fight asymptomatic carriers is wrong and has never been done before in history. There is no valid science behind this idiocy.;

The difference in Sweden is that they are GUIDELINES, not edicts. Yes, likely most Swedes are cautious and intimate, indoor, events seem to be the worst places for transmission. But wearing masks has no scientific support. The NE Journal of Medicine reviewed this months ago and, like multiple other, very large, studies, found no benefit to masks and that article speculates they may facilitate contracting the disease (as have many others). Social distancing also has no foundation in science.
As you note, people with symptoms should NEVER go out. But right now the death demographics for Covid make it about as big a threat for people under 60 as any flu. Why it seems to be worse for older folks is also highly questionable by dint of the fact that hospitals and many states find reporting as many deaths as possible (“with” covid vs becuase of covid) to their benefit. Two thirds of the deaths in MA have been to people in nursing homes. People live for about 2 years once they arrive in a nursing home. In other words, this flu is largely shorting the lives of its victims by, maybe, a year. The average age of death in MA is 82……about four years beyond the US lifespan.
This is a severe flu for compromised people (98.6% of deaths in MA and over 90% elsewhere). That’s sad but not a public health threat to the vast majority of the population.
And sick people should be the only ones wearing masks so the rest of us can stay the hell away. Masks are totally ineffective for asymptomatic because of the smaller molecule size, (.1 micron vs .2 or .3 blocked by N95) the virus from breathing goes right through. What’s the point?
