“America’s Presidents” is a permanent exhibition, located on the second floor of the National Portrait Gallery at 8th and G Streets, NW in Washington, D.C.
WASHINGTON DC – When the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery reopens on May 14 after being closed because of the Covid-19 pandemic, it will do so with a new work—a photograph of former President Donald J. Trump. Installed in the museum’s signature exhibition, “America’s Presidents,” the portrait will hang in a space reserved for the nation’s most recent former president and will be a part of the permanent collections:
“The 2019 image of Trump is one of many captured by the award-winning photographer Pari Dukovic, while on assignment for Time magazine. Taken on June 17, after Trump officially announced his plans to run for reelection, the image depicts him perched at the edge of a maroon chair with one hand resting on the historic Resolute Desk in the Oval Office.”
Not sitting in a bush? I thought that was the new standard.
When I saw that portrait of Obama I thought it was a joke. Sitting in a tree? Seems like a thinly veiled reference to something.
Thought the painting was a perfect depiction of the Obamboozler!

Stellar! Just seeing him is reassuring! Without a doubt the most qualified person to ever occupy the WH! I truly believe he is just the man for these times and we will see him back! He was chosen by God to lead us.
The evil in this country and world will not prevail! I wouldn’t want to be anywhere near one of these lawless Demoncrats when God calls them out! I would, however, love to see the faces of Hillary, Nancy and the Obamas when Satan tells them they have no power in hell!

To be honest, I thought it was a painting like Oblahblah. But no, he just really looks that bad a$$ evidently.
It’s OK, but I find the background too busy.
Yes, I know that is what the Oval Office looks like and that is a non-standard view, which is interesting. I find there have been many more pictures that I like more.
But if this is one Trump chose that’s fine.
We were all so lucky to have him and the first lady, Both was given no credit for the great work they did

Just looking at this picture makes me miss him. We were in such better shape as a country, moving ahead, and experiencing robust growth under his supervision. Can we even imagine how much he could have done unencumbered by the criminals? Now, it’s all about a government full of politicians covering their butts, peddling our kids, stealing from our future, aiding the enemy, and full on treason. It makes me sick.
Our true President where he rightfully should be sitting today, in the Oval Office where he honored our military by displaying the flag of each branch, along with their battle streamers. President Trump is a brave, heroic Leader just when we needed one desperately.
