Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

The Apostle Of The Nations
By Pastor Cornelius R. Stam
Not Matthew, Mark, or Luke; nor Peter, James, or John, but Paul alone wrote Romans 11:13 by divine inspiration:
“FOR I SPEAK TO YOU GENTILES [or OF THE NATIONS] INASMUCH AS I AM THE APOSTLE OF THE GENTILES [NATIONS]: I MAGNIFY MINE OFFICE” (Rom.11:13).
Note well that Paul did not magnify himself, but his office, to which he had been appointed by the glorified Lord Himself. In defending his apostleship before the Galatians he wrote:
“But I certify you, brethren, THAT THE GOSPEL WHICH WAS PREACHED OF ME is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, BUT BY THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST” (Gal. 1:11,12).
In many other passages the apostle claims to speak as a direct representative of Christ (See I Corinthians 11:23; 15:3; Ephesians 3:2,3; I Thessalonians 4:15; etc.).
To Timothy, Paul wrote concerning his own writings: “If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing…” (ITim. 6:3,4). This could not indicate more emphatically Paul’s claim that his words were “the words of the Lord Jesus Christ”, received from Him by direct revelation.
To the Corinthians, who questioned this, the Apostle wrote:
“…IF I COME AGAIN I WILL NOT SPARE, SINCE YE SEEK A PROOF OF CHRIST SPEAKING IN ME” (IICor.13:2,3).
The proof of this claim? This was overwhelming indeed, for Paul was used more than any other apostle to found churches and lead men into the knowledge and joy of salvation. To the believers at Corinth he wrote what he could have written to many thousands of others: “The seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord” (ICor.9:2).

Romans 11:13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
Galatians 1:11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 11:23 ¶ For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Ephesians 3:2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
1 Thessalonians 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1 Timothy 6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
2 Corinthians 13:2 I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare:
3 Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you.
1 Corinthians 9:2 If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.
“To Timothy, Paul wrote concerning his own writings: “If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing…” (ITim. 6:3,4). This could not indicate more emphatically Paul’s claim that his words were “the words of the Lord Jesus Christ”, received from Him by direct revelation.”
This demands proper contextualization. Bear in mind that within “his own writings”, Paul is known to have qualified what were “the words of the Lord Jesus Christ” and what were his opinions or judgments (cf. 1 Cor. 7:25):
“Now to those having married I give this charge (not I, but the Lord): A wife is not to be separated from a husband. But if indeed she is separated, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to the husband; and a husband is not to send away a wife. Now to the rest I say (I, not the Lord): If any brother has an unbelieving wife and she consents to dwell with him, let him not divorce her” (1 Cor. 7:10-12).
We need to be very careful about how Paul’s word are portrayed. For example, were one to apply a similar thought process to Galatians 5:12, one would be bound to conclude that Paul’s personal expression was that of God’s, when it might not have been at all.
What does Galatians 5:12 say? “I wish those upsetting you also will emasculate themselves!” People using context and comparing Scripture with Scripture as they proceed would not automatically conclude that the expressed sentiment was invariably God’s will. Those creating presumptive if / then absolutes and rules run the danger of leading others into problematic theological corners as they plug and play various Scriptures into manmade rules and formulas.
“Not Matthew, Mark, or Luke; nor Peter, James, or John, but Paul alone wrote Romans 11:13 by divine inspiration:
“FOR I SPEAK TO YOU GENTILES [or OF THE NATIONS] INASMUCH AS I AM THE APOSTLE OF THE GENTILES [NATIONS]: I MAGNIFY MINE OFFICE” (Rom.11:13).”
Speaking of the time of New Testament writings, Paul used his letters to pass along detailed teaching to churches already having receiving the gospel message, which would have been the case in largely Gentile Rome. Something that marked the Roman church was that Paul evidently did not establish it.
On occasion, Paul did feel compelled to assert his credentials to counter those who falsely “proclaimed another Jesus whom we did not proclaim” and “a different gospel” (cf. 2 Cor. 12:4). In Romans 11:3, Paul’s purpose in sharing a central aspect of his ministry (which also included the sons of Israel per Acts 9:15) does not appear to center around using its magnification in contrast to other true ongoing ministries, which was especially germane when addressing a group of believers who likely would have heard the gospel preached from someone other than Paul at that point.
Note that the quoted verse continued with a specified intent: “if at all I shall provoke to jealousy my own flesh, and shall save some of them” (Romans 11:14). This indicates that the magnification of his ministry was done for the benefit of his kinsmen who are “beloved on account of the patriarchs” (cf. Romans 11:28), which corresponds with God’s salvific purposes also spoken of the previous chapter: “”I will provoke you to jealousy by those not a nation; I will anger you by a nation without understanding”” (cf. Romans 10:19, Deut. 32:21).
I do not understand the above commentary. Are we now splitting Paul off from the other Church fathers, isolating and giving more meaning to his teachings? Each apostle set forth to teach, share, evangelize the whole world. St. Paul was a well educated Jew and he left us a great body of work showcasing his God given talents, his ability to eloquently persuade and plead Christ’s cause.
Too many biblical commentators set out with a biased premise and pick passages to prove their point. There might be twenty that oppose it, and the passages they use will be stopped in just exactly the right place.
From 1 Corinthians.

I urge you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree in what you say, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and in the same purpose.f
11
For it has been reported to me about you, my brothers, by Chloe’s people, that there are rivalries among you.
12
I mean that each of you is saying, “I belong to* Paul,” or “I belong to Apollos,” or “I belong to Cephas,” or “I belong to Christ.”g
13
* Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?
I think you are right to question these posts. I am no expert on the subject, but I think TMonroe’s posts are from a dispensationalist position. From my brief study of this false system dating back in the mid eighties, I’d call it a hyper- dispensational view.
In these readings I have noticed the trademark separating Paul from the other Jewish apostles thus raising red flags for me. So I chose to scroll past them rather than to comment, not wanting to start a debate that, unfortunately, I don’t have time. But since you brought it up Menagerie, I felt obligated to throw in my two cents worth.
“separating Paul from the other Jewish apostles ”
Please let me know how this works out for you:
Mark 16:17-18 KJV
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; [18] They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
DI, I am not at all getting the relevance of your posts. I don’t know what your objective is and where you are going. They aren’t clear.
Dear Menagerie,
The Bible is a spiritual book and you have to ask the Lord to reveal it’s truth to you.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
2 Corinthians 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
I don’t write them, some of them cover simple topics, other columns focus on deeper truths.
1 Corinthians 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1 Corinthians 3:1 ¶ And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
There are warnings involved with that book as well.
2 Peter 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
2 Timothy 4:14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:
15 Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.
2 Timothy 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
Maranatha,

Like I said, Menagerie, he is a hyper-dispensationalist. They attempt to separate the people of God.
I get TM, it is the original I question.
Well this is a surprise to me that Paul was a Jewish Christian, so lets look at the facts:
Born:
Saul of Tarsus, c. 5 AD, Tarsus, Cilicia, Roman Empire (modern-day Turkey)
Died:
c. 64/67 AD (aged 61–62 or 64–65), Rome, Roman Empire
On his conversion to Christianity, Saul of Tarsus became Apostle Paul and his mission was to go to the Gentiles.
There could be no more controversial person back in those days as there is in the present day. So many have chosen to do their own interpretations of his life and I won’t join them. On the other hand, when I read the Word of God…I actually take it literally. 🙂
Christ Sent You a Special Apostle. Why Won’t You Listen?
By Justin Johnson
Christ sent you a special apostle. Does that sound strange to you? It shouldn’t.
The apostles were not simply the best students in the class or teacher’s pets. They were men sent to preach a message to specific people. It is important to know what message they were given and to whom were they sent.
If Christ sent you a special apostle, wouldn’t you want to hear his message to you more than the message of other apostles for others?
Christ, the Apostle
Even nominal Christians repeat the truth that God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, but did you know Christ was an apostle sent to Israel (Heb. 3:1)?
Paul says, “Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision” (Rom. 15:8). John wrote, “He came unto his own” (John 1:11);
Jesus said about his ministry, “I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel” (Matt. 15:24).
It is clear that when God sent the Son of God, he was not sent to you, but to first century Israel.
The Twelve Apostles
Most Sunday school graduates know that Jesus chose twelve men to be his apostles, but did you know why he chose twelve? One apostle was needed for each tribe of Israel (Matt. 19:28).
The twelve apostles were not sent to minister to Gentiles, but were given apostleship to the circumcised in Israel.
“These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” – Matt. 10:5,6.
In their kingdom commission, they were to begin at Jerusalem and Israel (Luke 24:47; Acts 1:8).
At Pentecost, Spirit filled Peter addressed only the “men of Israel” (Acts 2:22), and later the believers scattered by persecution went to “none but unto the Jews only” (Acts 1:19).
Even later when a new apostle was ordained, Peter, James, and John limited their ministry to the circumcision (Gal. 2:9).
The Apostle Paul
Paul had an apostleship unlike the ministry Christ was to perform to Israel or the twelve were to minister to twelve tribes. Christ sent Paul as the special apostle of the Gentiles.
“For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:” – Romans 11:13.
When Paul tried to go to Jerusalem to minister to his Jewish kinsmen, the Lord told him to get out and depart (Acts 22:18).
“And he said unto me, Depart: for I will send thee far hence unto the Gentiles.”- Acts 22:21.
The only reason there is the testimony of Christ coming from Gentiles is because the Lord sent a special apostle directly to us Gentiles (Eph. 3:1,2).
Why Won’t You Listen?
Christ sent a special apostle to you. If this is so, then why won’t anyone listen to him? Instead he is often discounted and hedged by the ministries of apostles sent to others.
When it comes to faith and works controversy, Paul is corrected by an epistle written to the twelve tribes (James). Regarding when the church began, the apostle to the Gentiles is ignored for the prophetic fulfillment ministered to Israel at a Jewish feast day (Acts 2).
Entire denominations name themselves after John the Baptist who died years before Paul was saved or sent.
John the Baptist would not attend any church today that bears his name. Why? Baptist churches are filled with Gentiles, and John was not sent to Gentiles. He was sent to Israel as a law observing law teaching Jew (John 1:31). Don’t you know…
“… how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation…” – Acts 10:28
Listen to Your Apostle
If Christ sent you a special apostle, wouldn’t you give his message and ministry priority over other apostles?
Unless you are a first century Jewish believer looking for Israel’s kingdom, Paul is your apostle.
Wherever true Christianity is found today, it is a result of Christ sending Paul as a special apostle with the gospel of grace. Are you listening?
“For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles.” – 2 Cor. 11:5
“…our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.”- 2 Tim. 1:10,11
“Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery…- Eph. 3:8,9

“Jesus said about his ministry, “I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel” (Matt. 15:24).”
As in many cases in Scripture, Jesus has an initial response to people that was wholly true and consistent with a purpose or purposes being accomplished in His earthly ministry. Some appear to be cases related to the law and the fulfillment of Messianic prophecy related to national Israel.
What is noteworthy is how many times such situations were evidently used to make additional spiritual points. In the case of the Canaanite / Syropheonecian woman, her national origin and Gentile status was quite relevant to what transpired, given the level of faith demonstrated and her persistence in the face of national estrangement from God and His people.
Note that she was not answered after the first instance, she received the reply that Jesus was only sent to the lost of of the house of Israel, and then was told after she had made another plea that “It is not right to take the children’s bread and to cast it to the dogs” (Matthew 15:26). Even with this comparison, the woman made a humble appeal for mercy, to which Jesus replied (and also granted her plea): “O woman, great is your faith. It shall be to you as you desire” (cf. Matthew 15:28).
Going back to Luke 7, we see Jesus have a similar reaction to another Gentile: “Truly I say to you, no one in Israel with faith so great have I found. And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and will recline with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of the heavens. But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into the outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth” (cf. verses 10-12).
Hopefully, it is clear that in both instances, Jesus used the occasions to highlight the faith of the Gentiles, and in so doing point to what was foretold of Jesus in Simon’s prayer of gratitude to God as “a light for revelation of the Gentiles, and glory of Your people Israel” (Luke 2:32, cf. Isaiah 9:2, 11:10, Acts 26:23).
“If Christ sent you a special apostle, wouldn’t you give his message and ministry priority over other apostles?”
Let’s look at another verse that in these series of articles on strong — and often lengthy — doctrinal assertions I recall has been used in like manner:
“Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.” – 1 Corinthians 4:16”
It is noteworthy that the above Scripture followed a strong effort by Paul in the first part of the letter to straighten out those who would unduly put the focus on him or another gospel worker. Paul specifically gave a rebuke regarding divisions and quarrels that had arisen in Corinth: “Now I mean this, that each of you says, “I indeed am of Paul,” and “I of Apollos,” and “I of Cephas,” and “I of Christ”” (1 Cor. 1:12).
In reply, Paul asserted “Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours, whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come—all are yours, and you of Christ, and Christ of God” (1 Cor. 3:21-23).
Paul also spoke in 1 Cor. 3 of those making such distinctions as being fleshly, while noting that though each had certain functions and servants and fellow workers, “neither the one planting nor the one watering is anything, but only God, the One giving growth” (cf. 1 Cor. 3:7, 1-9).
Amidst all of this contextualization, Paul emphasized that he imitated Christ (1 Cor. 11:1), which no matter his level of revelation would prompt Christians to study Christ’s life through the gospels (no temple required). Even Paul’s traveling companion Luke saw the value of having and studying these accounts for those who would seek to imitate Christ, as conveyed to Theophilus per Luke 1:1-4 and Acts 1:1-3, which appears to present yet another Scriptural contrast to posted assertions. This also ties into what Paul affirmed to Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:14-17 regarding the ‘sacred writings’ and in fact ‘every Scripture’:
“Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for instruction (Gr. didaskalian), for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, having been fully equipped toward every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
Again, Paul indicated who his example is here: “Be imitators of me, as I also am of Christ” (1 Cor. 11:1). This directly follows a series of verses where Paul speaks of the mindset and conduct believers should emulate: “Therefore whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all things to the glory of God. Be you without offense both to Jews and Greeks, and to the church of God— as I also please all in all things, not seeking my own profit, but that of the many, that they may be saved” (1 Cor. 10:31-33). This seeking to do the Father’s will as it relates to seeking the profit (i.e. salvation) of the many corresponds to Paul’s imitation of Christ.
Paul pointed to Christ’s example for how believers are to walk: “Be imitators of God, therefore, as beloved children, and walk in love, just as Christ also loved us and gave Himself up for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God” (cf. Eph. 5:1-2a). Paul also highlighted those who had done so and had become examples like him as well as other sharers of the Gospel who walk in the path shown by the Lord:
“And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much tribulation, with the joy of the Holy Spirit, so as for you to became an example to all the believing ones in Macedonia and in Achaia. For not only has the word of the Lord sounded forth from you in Macedonia and in Achaia, but in every place your faith toward God has gone abroad, so as for us to have no need to say anything” (1 Thess. 1:6-8).
“Even later when a new apostle was ordained, Peter, James, and John limited their ministry to the circumcision (Gal. 2:9).”
What has been consistently pointed out regarding Galatians 2:7-9 appears to correspond with designating fields of specialization of gospel ministry. It’s worthwhile to consider if it were meant to be shown that Peter — and specifically, the gospel message he shared — was either different in its essence (salvation by grace through faith) or not suitable to come from him to Gentiles, why such a point was made to show that it was from him and not Paul that a clear gospel message shared unto to salvation to Gentiles (cf. Acts 10, 11).
That most of the expositional writings in the New Testament were done by the trained scholar rather than the fisherman speaks again to the division of fields of expertise and specialization rather than uniqueness and distinctiveness and separateness of message. The recorded words from the trained scholar in the book of Acts are also sparse as far as preaching the cross to the Gentiles. Does that mean something was lacking in what Paul preached to them, or could the following have been of relevance along with the emphasis on that which was of first importance? “And I, brothers, was not able to speak to you as to spiritual, but as fleshly—as to infants in Christ. I have you milk to drink, not solid food, for not yet were you able” (cf. 1 Cor. 3:1-2).
Later, Peter spoke approvingly about further doctrinal exposition in letters. Notably, it does not appear that Cornelius and the others “having obtained a faith equally precious with ours” who may have received Peter’s letters received a caution (let alone the problematic claim of a deferential posture in 2 Peter 3:15 versus a complementary and affirming one), about a different and uniquely applicable message wholly distinct and unique coming from Paul, which one certainly thinks could’ve been warranted.
Though Cornelius, the Romans, and all the Gentiles having received the gospel message from someone other than Paul would have welcomed the further insight, it certainly does not seem that what they received initially — especially the salvation message — was in any way insufficient.
Hi T.
This is what I am talking about. So much to respond to; so little time.
I have a close business associate who loves to pour out Bible verses from the heretical views of the Watchtower Society, more commonly known as the Jehovah’s Witness. I care for the souls of the lost and when I can, I respond.
However, in this case I’ll just say I admire your zeal. Then I’ll throw out a few verses of my own: Paul said, “For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge.” Rom. 10:2
So many fall in this camp. Then in the following verse… he says “Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.”
John said, “The whole world lies under the power of the evil one.” Certainly he didn’t mean everyone in the whole world or he would have had to include himself. We do know however that “all men” ARE born “dead in their sins.” All men but Christ of course. That’s why Jesus said “you must be born again.”
Being made alive in Christ is done by the power of God alone. “Those who receive new birth, do so, not because of ones bloodline, nor by the will of the flesh, nor by the will of man, but by God.” John 1:12,13
It is a supernatural birth.
I frist heard this in ’62 on my school’s cafe juke box when I started my 1st year of college. I knew then that I had entered a very different world . . .
Thanks for that. I saw the title and was hoping it was the Beatles song. It has become trendy in some circles to trash them, but their songwriting skills hold up.
Can’t beat the Beatles version.
But I’m definitely a Dwight Yoakam fan.

Got up at 05:30 yesterday. Couldn’t sleep anymore after almost 12 hours in the sack. Got the call at about 13:00. Depart the terminal at 14:30. First leg to Faurecia in Columbus, IN. Pulled the trailer from the door, got the paperwork and pulled out of the yard at 14:20.
At the facility I backed in a door at one set of docks and got unloaded. Then pulled out of that door and backed into a door at another set of docks to get loaded.
When I pulled out of the facility onto S. Gladstone Ave. the road was blocked by emergency vehicles and a Dayton Freight day cab pulling a 53′ trailer. There was an ambulance about ready to leave the scene. I couldn’t figure out what was going on.
Then eventually two cops pulled a motorcycle out from under the trailer. That revealed all. It was a lime green crotch rocket, about a 650cc I would say and that is just the kind that is almost always used by kids, some of which ride like they have a death wish. It was a two lane road and what had obviously happened was the motorcyclist had gone over the double yellow line to pass that truck and that truck made a left hand turn into a warehouse.
I hope the kid got the bike laid down before he/she got to the trailer. The bike did not look that badly damaged from what I could see, so perhaps he/she did.
Anyway after a 20 minute delay I was on my way to Faurecia in Louisville, KY with freight bound for the VW plant in Chattanooga, TN. I outsmarted myself trying to get to I-65 S without going through Columbus again. I ran US-31 S down to Hwy 50 east but there was a lot of construction and the on ramp to get to I-65 S on the east bound side was closed. So I went on down and pulled into an almost empty grocery store parking lot to turn her around because the on ramp on the west bound side was open.
At Louisville Faurecia I met another driver that had come up from Chattanooga, TN. He had backed into a door and gotten unloaded and reloaded and we switched paper work and trailers. That’s called a “relay”.
Then it was back up to Faurecia in Columbus, IN where I backed into a door and they unloaded me then reloaded me with empty containers bound for various places in Indiana, Michigan, and Ontario, Canada.
That load I brought back to the terminal in Anderson and put it in a door at the cross dock where they will pull the freight off and put the freight in various trailers bound for the proper destination.
As usual I fueled and gave the truck a good once over and greased the fifth wheel and parked it.
I live less than 15 minutes from the terminal and I walked in the door here at 02:35.
And that kind of thing is part of the reason this on-call job is not for everyone. You have to be able to do 14 hours or more of work no matter how long you have already been up already.
My dad drove Trailways buses. He could parallel park a bus in almost its own length. I knew how to double-clutch before I could drive.
Poop Proxy.
Proxy evidence is 2nd hand evidence. Analyzing preserved dead organisms or the chemical properties of preserved organic matter or physical characteristics of inorganic materials to try and determine the facies/ecological conditions/ and/or climate from a time before there were records from instrument measurements.
So basically proxy data is used to stand in for actual measurements. It is a scientific tool fraught with the potential for misinterpretation or down right fraud. Thus the best evidence is when multiple types of proxy data agree and multiple teams of scientists analyze the exact same proxy samples and come to the same conclusions.
Michael Mann’s tree rings are a stand alone proxy which disagrees with every other type of proxy temperature evidence and to which he scabbed on the instrument record at the end when his tree ring proxies did not agree with the hard data taken using thermometers. If fact virtually the whole blade of his “hockey stick” graph is from the instrument record while the shaft is from his tree rings. Further he has repeatedly refused to share the raw data and the tree ring samples upon it is based to outside researchers.
Proxy evidence thus is not ideal but when multiple proxies, such as ice cores and mud core data yield data leading to similar conclusions when analyzed objectively and competently by different teams of researchers then they do open a window to the past.
Thus the more different types of proxies that cover a given period of time the better!
Now there is a new proxy being worked on. Bat Guano! Poop core records 4,300 years of bat diet and environment – Watts Up With That?
And BTW this is not the first time poop has been used as proxy evidence. In fact preserved ancient poop from about any animal including humans, is a archeological gold mine.
Michael Mann lost a couple of big court battles that he initiated, but you wouldn’t know it from the media, which either ignores the story or presents it (fraudulently) as a win.
I like that. There is beauty in the early spring season, that gets ignored.
Beautiful. Thanks for posting. 🙂
WHAT TO DO UNDER THE CONDITIONS
“Cast thy burden upon the Lord.” Psalm lv. 22
We must distinguish between the burden-bearing that is right and the burden-bearing that is wrong. We ought never to bear the burden of sin or of doubt, but there are burdens placed on us by God which He does not intend to lift off, He wants us to roll them back on Him. “Cast that He hath given thee upon the Lord.” (R.V.marg.) If we undertake work for God and get out of touch with Him, the sense of responsibility will be overwhelmingly crushing; but if we roll back on God that which He has put upon us, He takes away the sense of responsibility by bringing in the realization of Himself.
Many workers have gone out with high courage and fine impulses, but with no intimate fellowship with Jesus Christ, and before long they are crushed. They do not know what to do with the burden, it produces weariness, and people say – “What an embittered end to such a beginning!”
“Roll thy burden upon the Lord” – you have been bearing it all; deliberately put one end on the shoulders of God. “The government shall be upon His shoulder.” Commit to God “that He hath given thee”; not fling it off, but put it over on to Him and yourself with it, and the burden is lightened by the sense of companionship. Never disassociate yourself from the burden.

Scenes Beyond the Grave – Marietta Davis
Chapter XXXI – Judas Repenting
31:3
Then said another angel, who approached from an opposite direction, “May not these truths be revealed to the infant’s understanding?”
Immediately a scene was before us, in which Earth, with her multiform movements, was displayed.
In this scene were represented brothers betraying brothers for gain, parents their children, husbands their wives, friends exchanging each other as mere commodities, nations in their warrings and piracy, and grievously afflicting the poor and dependent. Multitudes of human beings were seen suffering in lowest degradation, living and dying without hope.
Mothers were convulsively pressing their babes for the last time to their breasts, and imprinting upon their rosy lips the farewell kiss, while the suckling clung with dying hold to its mother’s neck. Husbands were looking in despair upon their maltreated wives and heartbroken children. Poverty, oppression, pain, anguish, rapine, and murder were revealed. In the midst of these mixed multitudes were a few who were striving to unloose the fetters of those bound; to take from the scourger his cruel implements; to provide means for the sufferings of every class; to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, bind up the brokenhearted; to change war into peace; to make the battlefield a nursery for the poor and dependent; to cultivate true friendship, and enforce true religion; to enlighten the bigot; to prevent persecution, and establish with men universal liberty and harmony, founded upon justice and mercy. But their encouragement was limited. Still they failed not, but were ever engaged in deeds of benevolence. As we were observing this scene, an angel said, “Wilt thou instruct the infants relative to the cause of this strange perversion, and why those philanthropists do not faint in the toil, seeing they meet so little sympathy from those for whose benefit they labor so ardently?” “Let earth give answer,” said the angel. “The ways of men reveal the perversion of their hearts. Heaven can reveal the cause, and also why those messengers of mercy, who mingle with the sons of men, seeking their salvation, faint not.”
Then a light descended, and over each of those who were engaged in the work of rescue, was a guardian angel, who, appointed of Heaven, and full of the Holy Ghost, sought to encourage them in their labors, and impress them with holy and benevolent desires. There was also revealed a light which descended from some invisible source, and which pervaded the heart of each mortal, who, in the name of the holy religion of the Cross, was struggling to lead the forlorn race.
“This,” said the angel, “is Holy Inspiration. The Spirit of God, which inspireth all who are born of God, that they may labor continually for man’s restoration from sin and its consequent misery, and for his final exaltation to a state of bliss.”
“But,” continued the angel, “no means are capable of revealing to human understanding the depth of degradation into which a heart is fallen that can be accessory to such deeds of cruelty as have just been presented. And although angels with wonder behold the acts and unfaithfulness of men, so common are they with man, and so natural to his perverted being, that he not only witnesseth without regret, but may be induced to engage therein for mercenary purposes. To redeem man requires goodness beyond finite comprehension. None but God, who is Love, and who is mighty and able to save, could rescue the fallen race. Angels, while contemplating God’s love bestowed upon man, exalt in thankful praise the name of our heavenly Father.”

Don’t be obtuse. We have to wear 2 masks now, to make up for the time in the beginning when we weren’t wearing masks.
IT’S SCIENCE
Oh, for pity’s sake, why doesn’t Fauxi just say what he really wants to: Put a plastic bag over your head and secure tightly around the neck. No masks, not now, not ever!
Verse of the Day for Tuesday, April 13, 2021
✟
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
Thank You, Jesus, for blessings received and prayers answered!!!
BE MY VOICE
Amen
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, amen.
Below is a summary of proposed expenditures under the $2 trillion-plus #AmericanJobsPlan that Democrats will try to pass through a nearly evenly split Congress in the coming months, which Biden says is the 1st in his 2-part economic plan.

I think O’biden wants to transition away from the US Dollar. Jerome Powell said the Federal Reserve is conducting a study.
Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen is for it too. Just pay on your phone with their invisible Fedcoin. They can keep their digital dollar.

The Speaking Voice – A. W. Tozer – I passed this on to a friend of mine going through a very difficult time. I don’t know if it helped any but I decided to share it. A. W. Tozer is one of my favorites.
A.W. Tozer – The Pursuit of God – “I believe that much of our religious unbelief is due to a wrong conception of and a wrong feeling for the Scriptures of Truth. A silent God suddenly began to speak in a book and when the book was finished lapsed back into silence again forever. Now we read the book as the record of what God said when He was for a brief time in a speaking mood. With notions like that in our heads how can we believe? The facts are that God is not silent, has never been silent. It is the nature of God to speak. The second Person of the Holy Trinity is called the Word. The Bible is the inevitable outcome of God’s continuous speech. It is the infallible declaration of His mind for us put into our familiar human words.
I think a new world will arise out of the religious mists when we approach our Bible with the idea that it is not only a book which was once spoken, but a book which is now speaking. The prophets habitually said, “Thus saith the LORD.” They meant their hearers to understand that God’s speaking is in the continuous present. We may use the past tense properly to indicate that at a certain time a certain word of God was spoken, but a word of God once spoken continues to be spoken, as a child once born continues to be alive, or a world once created continues to exist. And those are but imperfect illustrations, for children die and worlds burn out, but the Word of our God endureth forever.”
If you think God is silent then you aren’t listening or don’t want to hear what He is telling you. I struggle at times like these when it seems God is silent about all that has transpired since the November election but He isn’t! I continue to pray that the country will have a Spiritual renewal/revival lead by the Holy Spirit and return to our Founding Fathers faith in God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit and God’s Divine Providence for America! Amen! God help us! Hosanna!
Love Tozer! Thanks for posting this!

Ol’ Remus (archives):
“Vacuum packing dry food in Mason jars is going well. This is ‘topping off’ work, belt and suspenders and another belt. After an hour or so every night listening to the growl of our FoodSaver, the end is nigh. The baking mix is done, it’s Jiffy All Purpose, “Since 1930”. One forty-ounce box, two ‘n ahaff pounds, exactly fills two quart jars just shy of the top. The basic recipe is “2 cups mix, 2/3 cups milk”. If you add stuff to the basic recipe you get to give it a name. Instant coffee and creamer is done, enough for a year’s guzzling.
“Salt and sugar is done. Corn meal’s done, a few more quarts of oatmeal to do. Walnuts are done, eighteen quarts. One flat of Jolly Rancher candy, the original, is done, enough for handing out with the midrats. We’ve already put up lots of powdered milk and have more in #10 cans, so no more this round. Gotta draw the line somewhere. Good start on sunflower seeds, one flat done, I’m thinking two flats will be enough.
“The baking powder was a problem. It’s ultra fine, like confectioner’s sugar. No matter how clean the glass rim and the lids, they failed to keep a seal overnight on the first try. The powder would be drawn up when the vacuum was being pulled, get between ’em. Yes, I lightly moistened the lids. Yes, our FoodSaver has a “slow” setting. Still, it took a couple tries for ’em to take. Incidentally, it’s surprising how much more space boxes and bags take up compared to the same stuff in Mason jars.
“Do we have a master check list of all our preps? Hah! It is to laugh. Of course not. There will be time a-plenty for list making should the need arise. Besides, who is to say what we’ll have on hand in total, counting everything including our as-now projected garden produce, unexpected opportunities and so forth. It’s reasonable to plan for the catastrophe. It’s futile to attempt planning the catastrophe itself. As the people of Pompeii might say, “surprise surprise.” Enjoy your spreadsheets, we’ll continue to rely on our eyeball inventory and our own notions. If it looks right, it is right. It’s not our first rodeo.”

I’ve been listening to this all week. Cant get it out of my head, so I’m sharing.
Been there, done that . . . 🙂
One of my favorite NDE stories. The tape recording by the grandfather is pretty difficult to listen to, it’s very scratchy. Worth it, though…
I just want to pass this along to the Treepers…a brand new website is now up: stopcorporatetyranny.org. This is a great site and it gives us the tools we need to fight this mess from Delta and Coke and their ilk.
It’s time we fight back and protect ourselves. This site gives us the tools and a new tool will be given each week.
Check it out. BTW, I am not involved in any way with this site but it is a great resource for us.
Thanks
Thanks Spryte, I found one myself that will be starting up on Thursday. Mike Lindell has been working on it for 4 years.

I really enjoy the electric car cultists bragging about how they recharge for free (paid for by our taxes), and also how they charge up overnight when “demand is low.” Plug in a few hundred million electric cars and suddenly overnight becomes peak demand, not a low point. But then again logic isn’t their strong suit, very emotional.
https://gab.com/fzeedom/posts/106038827319230183
Listened to a breathless young woman advocating for electric cars everywhere. When the reporter asked her where the electricity came from to charge her car, she pointed to a wall socket and said, “From there.” And thus ends our liberal enlightenment for today.
They’re not too bright. The electricity would come from coal fired power plants.
The word clueless comes to mind with these zealots.
When you ask them where the electricity comes from to charge their cars, they get nervous.
When you tell them it comes from power plants, most of which burn fossil fuels, they go silent.
That silence is sound of their minds exploding.
Atheism is a religion; an anti-religion. Atheists accept on faith an unprovable negative, that God does not exist. Although they like to position themselves as rational thinkers and scientists the correct position of a scientist would be agnosticism, not atheism. A lack of proof does not mean something does not exist, it may very well exist and the evidence proving it may yet be discovered.
If, that is, you accept the atheist contention that creation itself is not proof of a creator. Which is debatable; but it does not prove atheism.
There was a notice issued today in the local news that those who had been scheduled to receive the Johnson & Johnson covid ‘vaccine’ will be getting either the Pfizer or Moderna one.
The reaction is there sure seems to be a government push for people to get those 2-shot mRNA ones.
A lady asked a question a while back on one of those twitter pages “what do these mRNA ‘vaccines’ do to the blood supply if someone donates blood who had those and someone who refuses to take one of these experimental ‘vaccines’ needs blood, will that recipient also be receiving whatever genetic marker those ‘vaccinated’ with the mRNA messaging” ?
That morphs into the question what if there are long-term effects that a few researchers with experience in studying mRNA vaccines, but on animals only, who have said all those animals in their trials developed autoimmune diseases? If true, what happens to the blood supply?
Does anyone have links to any published, open to the public to read, studies on the mRNA research on animals, or what are the best keywords for doing an online search for such studies?
12-24 months ago, I read some quality whitepapers regarding the mRNA vaccines, what their purpose was and the intent towards human recipients…yes, before Covid! Those articles, videos, commentaries, etc. have been scrubbed from the internet or put behind a paywall. Articles I bookmarked are gone! ?
Mine disappeared too; was hoping someone had them. Can’t wait for the new platforms we’re hearing about, the ones from Lindell and Pres. Trump’s team, hoping those will be scrub-proof. In fact, I’ve started printing the articles out, saving them, so if they do get scrubbed then I can scan them in and share online that way as ‘pictures’.

Psalm 2 1-6 Why the big noise, nations? Why the mean plots, peoples?
Earth-leaders push for position,
Demagogues and delegates meet for summit talks,
The God-deniers, the Messiah-defiers:
“Let’s get free of God!
Cast loose from Messiah!”
Heaven-throned God breaks out laughing.
At first he’s amused at their presumption;
Then he gets good and angry.
Furiously, he shuts them up:
“Don’t you know there’s a King in Zion? A coronation banquet
Is spread for him on the holy summit.”
7-9 Let me tell you what GOD said next.
He said, “You’re my son,
And today is your birthday.
What do you want? Name it:
Nations as a present? continents as a prize?
You can command them all to dance for you,
Or throw them out with tomorrow’s trash.”
10-12 So, rebel-kings, use your heads;
Upstart-judges, learn your lesson:
Worship God in adoring embrace,
Celebrate in trembling awe. Kiss Messiah!
Your very lives are in danger, you know;
His anger is about to explode,
But if you make a run for God—you won’t regret it!
A David Psalm, When He Escapedfor His Life from Absalom, His Son
I am going to place this here now. It is up to each to determine for themselves if the messages are of any spiritual assistance, or not. I am not going to opine whether the messages are legitimate or not; that remains a personal spiritual decision for each person. However, our ‘official’ Roman Catholic Church has refused to accept them. So bear that in mind.
Nevertheless, many of the pronouncements therein support obvious truths, and/or have been proven true since. Some pronouncements, particularly concerning our material and physical world today: the governments, our media, basic institutions, and even our Church — and who have captured it — are uncannily and frighteningly accurate in my opinion. I believe they would have been an unfathomable revelation to a Queens housewife in the early 1970s, and not easily concocted.
The underlying core message, nevertheless, is simple and unassailable: to Pray (constantly and earnestly), to perform Penance, to read the Bible, to flee from sin, to wear and display our Sacramentals as spiritual armor, and to not abandon our Lord, and his Tabernacle and Mass. And for those core messages, I cannot see our Church at odds.
In a strange coincidence, I do find it interesting that this all took place not too far from the old Trump family home in Queens.
Again, if you believe this inapplicable or unhelpful to you, simply ignore it.

Saint Innocent, Metropolitan of Moscow, and Enlightener of Alaska and Siberia (+ 1879)
He spent several decades among the various native peoples of Alaska and Siberia, sharing the Holy Gospel of our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ. He was Bishop of Kamchatka, the Kurilian and Aleutian Islands.
One of his most famous writings is the small book “Indication of the Way into the Kingdom of Heaven” that he first wrote in Aleut in 1833 and later translated into Russian in 46 editions between 1839 and 1855. It is a classic.
A link to it in English is below, but the site uses only http not https, so a security warning (unneeded) might pop up.

Saint Innocent is among the Saints who are commemorated today, March 31st on the traditional Calendar of the Orthodox Christian Church and April 13th on the civil or commercial calendar.
Archbishop Averky (Taushev) was born in Russia and was a refugee as a result of the Bolshevik destruction. He eventually reached New York State and was consecrated Archbishop of Syracuse and Holy Trinity Monastery. He was a prolific writer and ardent teacher on behalf of the Orthodox Faithful.
Among his many writings is an essay “See Then that Ye Walk Circumspectly”(Ephesians 5: 15), which is now more relevant than ever in light of current events.
That is available to read at this link.

Archbishop Averky reposed in the Lord on March 31, 1976 Church Calendar (April 13 civil calendar).
