Angela Marsden is an owner of the Pineapple Hill Saloon and Grill since 2011. They are barely hanging-on to their business amid the insufferable COVID compliance dictates from LA Mayor Garcetti, the municipal COVID compliance officers, and arbitrary COVID decrees devoid of any scientific merit. Today the weight of it all became too much:
The Pineapple Hill Saloon and Grill has a website [SEE HERE] and a contact page where you can show your support. Amid these challenging times fellowship and a spirit of community within the common sense rebel alliance is critical. Make sure you do not allow people to think they are ‘on their own’.
Treepers, here is an idea: To the extent that a person has the income support small and independent businesses this holiday season. For my Christmas shopping I am supporting certain local companies that have good products. When I don’t feel like cooking I am supporting local eateries over Micky-Dees where possible. The eating establishments near me with good customer loyalty are hanging in there. For nonfood, avoid big box stores where you can.
That should be everyone’s mantra…..support your local mom and pop gas stations, hardware stores, grocery stores, bakery, fruit stands, farmers, butchers.
Remember who the big box stores give their money to, antifa, blm and on and on. You might have to go out of your way a few minutes to get to these places but remember, they are going out of their way just to survive.
I have eaten out one time since March at a big box it’s always local and to be honest I do not miss one iota.
This is what I am doing, Learning. Great idea! I use mom and pop businesses even for my pest and HVAC maintenance. They also supported President Trump. It’s easier to fork money over to Patriots! I’ve become selective where I am able to do so. It makes me feel better to help local small businesses.
This Carolina girl agrees!
So does this Carolina girl!!! God bless our local businesses!!!
Where’s the compassion for this woman and millions of others like her!? They’re choking small businesses. They all need to ban together and open up. I honestly don’t know why it hasn’t happened already. This lady’s anguish breaks my heart and I’m infuriated for her.
Same here Carolina Girl. To me it is let me see your politics before I give you my money. And when I wrote checks to pay my bills (yes I still do that for a couple of them) and anything that goes through the USPO mail they all get a “Biden didn’t win and we know it” post it note in the envelope. As does every store I go into (on multiple shelves) the 2 times a month I go to town.
EXCELLENT!
Thanks for the idea.
And don’t forget when shopping local to avoid Chinese made products as much as possible!!! I find even small online businesses I am trying to support when I can’t get things locally carry Chinese goods, for obvious reasons. But, with some research, made in the USA products can sometimes be found.
Good point.
I’m trying, but unfortunately many of the locals now want to enforce mask wearing too. I’m basically living off my prepper supplies now because I’m sick of dealing with it. Haven’t entered a WalMart in months. Dropped my Kohl’s card and haven’t been there either. Am shopping local where I can, but no longer able to support eateries because of the mask requirement. When they all start standing against the BS mandates, I’ll be first in line for whoever does it! (I have a very small shop at my home and I will not wear a mask and do not require my customers to wear one. )
I am also a non-mask person. Agree with supporting the patriot-owned and operated businesses.
One question: Why is this business owner wearing a mask, and yet complaining about the mayor?
Sturmudgeon ,
My thought was she is Wearing the Mask to be able to COMPLY with the mayor and gov for ACTUALLY BEING OUTSIDE !
I emailed her letting her know I Appreciate and Admire her Braveness for Taking a Stand ! I hope Everyone Here Joins me in letting her know We are Standing With Her and the Many that are going through this Hypocrisy right now !
I pick my battles. Some of these places are doing all that they can do to hang on. They have families so the compromise. I’d rather mask up and by local than not mask and buy Amazon.
This is what is so crazy about this 2nd lock down
I think I ate take out more during the first lock down than I have in the last decade, mainly so I could support my neighbor owned businesses. I shopped more and I probably know I paid around or higher than 10% more for things at our local places than I had ever before done.
Yet now with this 2nd lock down in many states, people that were able to keep their jobs or hang on due to savings, are now losing their jobs &/or what savings they did have is almost depleted. Even some of the small business I and others tried to support just finally closed their doors. Some say it is for good, and some say until we return to normal. Many of these small businesses can’t afford the basic rent and utilities when they are not even taking in 50% of what they used to.
I will do what I can, but some can’t do that anymore.
The left is like a nasty kind of political chemo making sure those that managed to hang on, are done for good. It’s wealth destruction of the middle class. Satan is laughing.
Where’s the compassion for small business? It is not present because that is actually the agenda: to destroy small business. It is a punishment for refusing to obey, and daring to vote Repub / Trump. The Commies don’t care if you go under, or even if you die. They want globalist corporatism. Who else is being targeted? Churches. Who makes the decisions about whom to target? Arbitrary non-scientific city / mayor / state advisory consultants? Is there “real science” behind what’s “essential / non-essential”? No, simply diktats. Cold anger? It seems to be bubbling up in temperature. Pray for these and others. Pray for the future. I don’t know what else to say at this point.
That’s a great idea. We are done with big boxes.
Progressive Democrat politicians are using Covid restrictions to intentionally hurt Americans especially small business owners and their employees. They think this will create a demand for universal basic income, help keep Americans dependent on handouts and keep progressives in power. Instead Americans must demand freedom.
If Kickback Joe and the HO are elected, everything that this country was built on will be destroyed. This is just a small example of what is to come.
If 80 million patriots and Trump supporters can’t resist a senile corrupt old politician who struggles to walk, then this country of ours is in deep, deep trouble. If the dems win, then we must do “Whatever it takes” to win our country back. We can no longer afford to play nicely.
Yep, got some tough times ahead, perhaps, but America’s been here before. 80 million of us, maybe 10,000 Democratic activists … We can handle this.
We pray that it not come to that … that the Supreme Court do the right thing. But the Constitution and laws do not require us to march to the cliff edge and jump off.
REALLY like the smooth operation of the new site! What an improvement, being able to post a comment just by posting it!
It is no danger or effort to resist old joe. America’s BIG problem is the corrupt agencies of Law and Order. Where Barr, and why are he and the others like him still employed in government?
It is not just hurting Americans financially, they are intentional demoralizing Americans to the point that they have no place to turn to.
Mental Health and Suicides have escalated, to the point that even our mental health care givers and facilities are so overwhelmed they have waiting lists months long. Abuse in the home has also escalated and is so crazy now. There is not only spousal and child abuse in homes one never saw a hint of it in, there is sibling abuse. Hey they took most American’s other place of comfort and emotional help away too–The Church,
On Thanksgiving Day, I woke up thinking “Wow, this is going to be weird with no Macys Parade”. However, they had it in the rain even and there were even people watching it on the streets. As much as I wanted to enjoy it, I couldn’t. You see these are the crumbs they are trying to throw at us to make us grateful for any crumb the government decides to give us. I could not help but think about what the next crumb might be as long as we give up our rights and do as they say, or rather demand.
Hang on guys, especially if Biden is sworn in.
The Macys parade was ruined for me a long time ago. Way before Covid, when Macys virtue-signalled to cultural marxism’s alphabet dictates, as did other multinational corporations, sports teams and Hollyweird sycophants. Entitled Broadway actors berated their audiences with anti-American diatribes, not to mention the ENEmedia’s pandering parade hosts.. Blech!!
I turned my back on every. Single. One. Of “them.” And it felt great! I didn’t watch their movies or awards shows. I didn’t attend their concerts or plays. I didn’t buy their products. Pro sports was dead to me, as well. They all suck!
Of course they all got right behind this China flu plandemic, to ride us and divide us between “essentials (them)” and “non-essentials (us).” What more will it take to open our eyes?
For me, it was so much easier to rip off that bandaid in one fell swoop. I don’t know what’s taken so long for others to see these commies for who they represent. It definitely ain’t us patriots.
Why support them ever again? Do yourselves a favor and walk away from these traitors. We don’t need them. We never did. And, if they persist in their TREASONOUS coup, they won’t know what hit them!
#AMERICA FIRST ??
Angela, God love her, doesn’t get it. She is not one of the “beautiful people” and that some animals are more equal than others. The level of hypocrisy is off the charts and even a caveman can see it.
Sometimes it really is an ordinary citizen that captures the hypocrisy to perfection. I keep waiting for the single moment when we have our ‘Arab Spring’ (Mohamed Bouazizi).
Re-tweet, re-post, and discuss this with as many people as possible!
Please Treepers, let us all buy a virtual Reuben from The Hill.
Their Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger is off the charts.
They need to band together and open up and tell the governing authorities to pound sand. If all business in that state did this together it couldn’t be stopped.
If every business and service provider in the country were to re-open simultaneously, it would be become an even more powerful stand against the power-mongers.
Pick a day / date. High noon, EST, across the continent, so that it will be 9a.m. start time in the Pacific time zone. Everybody plays. Bring out the customer base in droves. It will get ugly, but we didn’t start this war, and apparently waging war against us is what they want to pursue, trusting that we will continue to cower inside our homes.
Let’s do this – now. Since they are determined to take everything from us regardless, let’s force them to pay the most awful price for it, the one that will haunt them in the middle of the dark, quiet night for the rest of their lives.
RIP Andrew Breitbart.
Exactly. This is what I have been advocating. EVERYBODY open up at the SAME TIME.
yes yes yes, and again, yes. I posted to the same effect somewhere else.
Pick a day and time. Open up! No restrictions, just open, and let the people come. NOW, before Christmas.
Here in Louisville, well over 40 restaurant owners have signed a petition that they will reopen on Dec. 14, no matter what our despot Gov. Andy Beshear mandates. Their website is kyrrc.com.
The governor’s reaction? He is softening. Said he would not extend his restaurant mandate, past… Dec. 13. ?
Jody: I Agree with your sentiment!

I am unable to see previous comments. Is it me or is this a result of new platform?
It’s an issue most are having to deal with.
A workaround that seems to be working for all those who do it is to post a comment and before clicking “Post Comment” checking the Save my name, email and website in this browser for the next time I comment. checkbox.
After doing that you should be able to navigate through the older/newer comment links as before.
Give it a shot!
Worked for me and everyone else I’ve seen do it.
that works!
Trying now
trying
It works great. Thanks
Är du Svensk? How is TX. Will leave CA after 30 years in 2021. Don’t know where to. Ha en God Jul.
Interesting idea. Will try it
That works, yes! This supports my theory that the problem has something to do with “authorized users” and identities. You have to be “known” before everything works.
That should point to a solution, software guys…
Thanks for the help!
Thanks for the workaround!
Thanks
Instead of holding signs, how about trashing the tables and setting fire to the tents? Seems to work for the blm peaceful protestors.
Exactly.
One way or another, we will eventually be forced to recognize that posting videos, emails or calls to congresspeople, going to a rally in the park on a weekend, or strongly worded blog posts… all might as well be consent to what is happening. It will not be enough to turn this tide of evil sweeping the nation.
And further, as long as we allow each other to dangle in the wind one at a time, pointing to them as examples of bravery, they can pick us off one at a time, which will be strongly preferred. Only when we stop thinking we have too much to lose and take to the streets en masse will we be able to wield our collective power.
We’ve made excuses about why “our side” is no good at protesting and resisting for long enough. whether it is respect for law and order, our family, our job, etc… none will matter in the end if we allow this to happen now.
Exactly, MB. See my post added above with time stamp 10:26am.
I keep saying remember how the massive crowds in Egypt forced out Mubarak. Google & look at Images. I was unable to post pic
Recall how many showed up for a cretin criminal, in every city, protesting and torching buildings and forcing their will on us.
Now view the video of how many of us showed up for this lady, a far better role model for us to emulate.
Now imagine why evil is being allowed to seize control of the levers of government while we stand by honoring her from afar.
It is possible that the Supreme Court turns around the Biden Fraudocracy. If so we can take it from there.
If not, we will deal in other ways. And some states may have to do so either way to break the COVID-19 stranglehold. We simply CANNOT allow our economy to be destroyed for political reasons.
May God help us if one day we really do have a pandemic that requires strong public health steps. With national and state level health authorities having completely squandered their credibility we’re likely to refuse to comply when compliance is actually needed.
I had been thinking about that too. If we had a pandemic with a 2% or greater death rate (you know, an ACTUAL pandemic), and the complete lack of trust that now exists between all of America and its governing officials, we will be in deep doo doo.
Am I the only one who laughed at this woman’s plight? I feel badly for her, as another human being, who is suffering. However, she brought on her suffering, by her politics. There is a 99.99999% chance that she is a Biden voting liberal(unless I missed something) She cries for someone to help her… What did she think President Trump was trying to do?
(Sorry if this repeats someone else’s comments, I’m unable to read anything on the prior page.)
What makes you so sure that she is a Democrat? There are 5 million + registered Republicans in California, many of them in the area where her business is located. What a heartless, baseless comment. I must have missed something. The part where she said she was a Democrat. Or did she…
While I agree that laughing at her is heartless and not constructive, I don’t necessarily disagree with the assertion that she is left leaning.
She is wearing a mask in an empty parking lot.
She at one point in the video can barely breathe because of the mask, yet she keeps it on.
She asks for someone else to do something to fix the problem.
I don’t know many right leaning Trump supporters who would conduct themselves this way. But then again, that’s just my anecdotal experience.
@Zachary Navarre
President Trump has also worn a mask in public. Does that make him liberal?
The President was among groups of people the few times he has worn a mask. Don’t confuse the issue. Anyone who wears a mask and they are outside is a few sandwiches short of a picnic.
Do you know how many people were around this woman? I don’t.
No I do not, so what. No cloth mask will protect you, me, or anyone else from a virus. Don’t pull your virtue-signalling crap with me.
@Susan in VA
At least, this lady is standing against the tyranny in her state. I doubt any of her maskless critics are doing even that.
“She asks for someone else to do something to fix the problem.”
This is what I noted. It is tacit consent that the government is legitimate and has the right to do this. It is implicit agreement that the government is the giver of rights, and therefore they must be ASKED to have those rights back.
This is a false premise. the hero is us. No one, not Trump, not the SC, not Durham or Barr or any other secret white hat, or governor – is riding to our rescue. We will have to do it. Or we consent to be governed in this manner.
What would you do if you found yourself in the same circumstance?
Other than burning down the film crew’s tents, I haven’t seen a solution. Only ill-considered slams.
As for asking others for help, which means support – community support, not money – isn’t that a way of standing up for one’s rights? Has no one here ever asked for help, for support? If you are in fact totally self-reliant loners, what exactly would you do in her situation?
“Yourself” and “self reliant loners” – terms that are very much part of the issue, IMO. Much of our identity and beliefs have been formed in this noble pursuit, I get it. But by refusing to consent one at a time, we are destined to fail.
She should remain open, and by the thousands, those nearby should be in her place, around the block, etc. And when some stasi health inspector shows up, we refuse them entry. and when the tax man comes, we refuse them entry. and when the cops show up, we refuse them entry, and when they decide to start beating, we take it and/or beat back.
None of it is pretty or fun, but its also not complicated. But I know one thing, we should not be asking their permission. That is consent. and this government no longer has my consent.
When the cops show up tell them to get a warrant. Stand up and fight for your business people! She should send flyers around her area and on her social media telling everyone she is will be open for business, day and time, and everyone should pretend they are Gavin Newsom who is allowed to go to a restaurant and enjoy a meal with friends. She should also encourage all her competitors to do the same. AT THE SAME TIME. IMHO
A warrant from an illegitimate government and illegitimate law is invalid.
Agreed. It takes time to obtain a warrant, sometimes even days. If all businesses opened up at the same time, the
Gestapo could never keep up with them all.
What else does God have to show us to make us participants in our own salvation? Do we really need to cower helplessly on our own behalf? I think not.
This lady is fighting back at last! Godspeed, “non-essentials!” United we stand! Band together and WIN!
Pretty much I AM a self-reliant loner. What I might do in her situation is not necessarily something I’d discuss in a public forum.
And ALL of us now should be looking on ourselves as potential self-reliant loners and considering what we’d do under various circumstances.
There are ~80 million Trump voters. There are maybe 10,000 Democratic activists making the tyranny happen. Self-reliant loners can handle this if that’s what it takes.
All due respect, but I disagree. Part of the fascists entire strategy is to keep us singled out, because we are easy to annihilate as long as we go it alone.
I get that it fundamentally goes against every grain of our beliefs (mine too, and I would say I am most definitely a “self-reliant loner”) But we continue to fight this thing one at a time at our peril
Do you know how close she is to those who are doing the filming? Do you know whether she has an underlying condition that would predispose her to serious illness if she contracted the China Virus?
What a superficial judgment call…
Do you honestly believe that $5 convenience store fashion mask is going to protect her?
Here a hint:
Science isn’t on your side on this issue.
If she had a serious underlying condition that put her at severe risk of covid complications, she would be wearing a N95 mask.
MASKS are useless except for reducing — for N95 that’s SUBSTANTIALLY reducing — droplet passage, if one party or another is coughing, sneezing, etc. For virus particles and aerosols, no.
She is around the person filming. And she follows the mandate in order to get her business going again. She is fighting for her and her employees survival…
Talk about you being a judgmental $^#$. Sad.
I’m not certain of the fascist rules currently in place in CA, but it’s entirely possible they require masks outdoors, even when you are alone.
To make that video without wearing a mask could constitute evidence of a crime, and subject her to fines and/or arrest, the last thing she needs right now.
She may be aware of that.
In a City and State where they fine the everloving shit out of and threaten with arrest anyone who dares bare their face in public, this compliance is understandable. Hardly makes her a DemocRat.
If she’s a Republican, she should leave California. The Democrats have made LA an absolute shithole and there will be no saving it or the state. I don’t see anyone trying to prove election fraud here and I am almost certain Trump won the state. Yes, I live here, and yes, I am leaving.
Nope. She should stay and fight for California.
America is in its sorry state because too many conservatives abandon blue areas instead of fight for them.
YES! Whoever won a war by CEDING more territory to the enemy? Sounds more like surrender, if you ask me! Not exactly a winning strategy, as we all can see now.
I’m not laughing, and I would hope you are the only one since you seem to be so proud of it. Do you need a prize for most biased comment of the day?
Stupid assumption.
Mike Gallagher on the radio was reporting on the DEM Mayor of Austin, Texas sitting in a Mexican vacation house with his extended family and telling people in Austin to stay inside and not to visit anyone!
Hypocrisy, as satirized by George Orwell in Animal Farm:
“All animals are created equal, but some animals are more equal than others!
I’m wintering in Cocoa Beach/CapeCanaveral area. I’m not quite sure why everyone thinks Florida is thriving. Many businesses around here depend on tourists, snowbirds and the cruise industry. The tourists aren’t around, many snowbirds have decided to not winter here and there are no cruise ships. Small businesses are dying on the vine all over America. How much more can we take? Also, everyone is wearing a mask. I’ve even seen idiots on the beach, biking, walking and yes, driving, still masked up. It irritates the hell out of me!
I am here in northern Florida for a week of RnR because I can’t abide by my home state of NM and queen Lujan-Grisham’s California imported idiocy. You are right, tourism is down.
But I have walked into stores here mask free without a single objection. Businesses are open, no restrictions on them.
People are wearing masks and signs are up, but no one is saying a damn thing to me. I don’t see electronic road signs telling me I am risking certain death if I don’t put in a mask and stay home as I do in New Mexico.
I will continue to travel here as I always have. The government rules and virus I have probably already gotten will not stop me.
To the extent one can, exercise your freedom. Go to the areas that support your freedom.
You’re exactly correct about Northwest Florida. I don’t know what’s happening in the rest of the state except that our FABULOUS GOVERNOR Ron DeSantis is allowing people the freedom to be responsible and to use common sense and has made it unlawful for any locality to impose lockdowns. Business is thriving here and life is almost at normal. Here, I have seen only a couple of people walking outside in masks and none walking on the beach or biking or windsurfing etc. And our restaurants here seem to be doing good business when we’ve been out and about. Masks are being worn less frequently by almost all people.
I grew up here and we returned recently, leaving New England and moving early so we could vote for President Trump! My husband is working remotely – thank goodness. We feel as if we have escaped and are back in the Land of the Free.
Not far from there. We used to go at least once or twice a month for lunch at the Port around the time the cruise ships would depart. Haven’t been there since the covid start. Florida is hit badly with attractions, hotels, restaurants closed or mostly closed, there is a ripple effect on employment. And yes everyone wears the mask, some even in the car. Many people are brainwashed and the rest go along because they don’t want to fight. This is the clearest example of how easily government bureaucrats can make us do whatever they want. And they are going to want more. DeSantis is good but the counties and big business box stores dictate what happens.
I’m a permanent lot holder in a motor home park near Arcadia, Fl. Home base is Milford, Ohio. The management is demanding mask compliance in the office and clubhouse. None of regulars are wearing masks outside of those areas and a lot of them are older than I @ 68. WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE !!!!! Transients are somewhat in compliance but generally stop as soon as they see they are a minority. Going into coastal areas it’s a different story. About half are wearing. Small businesses are suffering. The force is strong with the covidiots. I wanted to take a harbor cruise but the operator thinks it’s an airline demanding mask compliance. Sigh. Sitting on an open deck at 10 knots a mask I should wear? Bullshit.
It seems to me a lot of the fast food chains are fine with the covidiot madness! They keep their dining rooms closed and thereby cut overhead substantially.
Walked into a Wendy’s in Punta Gorda for a quick snack while running errands only to have a young snot behind a glass wall tell me I had to wear a mask to order! I walked out. It isn’t food and it isn’t fast and my money they will not get.
I know…the insanity makes me want to remain at home. My favorite local restaurant still has plexiglass and the staff still wearing masks. I told them all I love them dearly but can’t take the bs. So, I get take out every day from another local. They have yet to reopen interior. Tried it day after Thanksgiving. Low volume. Have lost a lot of employees and afraid to go all in for fear of another shutdown.
I avoid my church for this reason. I will not sit six feet away from everybody else. Everybody is required to wear masks. No singing choirs are permitted.
I wish I was surprised, but I saw the writing on the wall. For years, this church has preached cultural Marxist drivel. They proudly trafficked slave laborers into sanctuary cities, paying homage to the One World Order.
Where are good Christians to turn?
It’s funny, for a long time I was fooled by democrat and republican politicians who seem to get along swimmingly. Then my church began holding Ecumenical services with other Christian denominations and it seemed like one big love fest..
Until it finally dawned on me that it was all driven by the New/One World ? rder agenda. There’s a YUGE difference between gathering in fellowship and herding the sheeple to the slaughter. I’m done with it.
We got kicked out of an Arby’s by the manager in front of a crowd of 20 or so patrons in the lobby for not wearing a mask on our drive to Florida. The patrons, even little children, were all masked up and looked terrified that we had just consigned them all to an immediate death just by breathing.
Answer, we were in St Augustine at the beginning of October, and my experience matched yours. Publix had a sign up stating it was ILLEGAL to enter without a mask! I knew that wasn’t true ( DeSantis had rescinded such restrictions) but everyone in the crowded Publix, sans one man and later one family, wore a mask. The atmosphere was so uncomfortable I didn’t go back the rest of the week, and I used to love shopping Publix while on vacation! I found a local Facebook group and got some recommendations for local restaurants not requiring masks, but half the posters who responded on the page were very
hostile and some demeaning towards me for even asking the question! We were able to use those recommendations the rest of the week, though. I will remember which businesses were helpful and which were not.
Abster, not answer. Autocorrect ?
It kills me that Floridians chain themselves to the same draconian edicts that their own governor has released them from. He signed an executive order against shutdowns and will not enforce any mask laws.
Floridians should be free as birds now, but they keep on flying right back into their own cages.
I was recently in a Florida city that relies heavily on tourism, and the locals seemed irritated that “outsiders” were staying there. Meanwhile, people in blue states would give anything for their businesses to reopen!
Can’t fix stupid!
I just e-mailed them and let them know I would visit them for dinner when I am in SoCal for Xmas. Tried to buy a gift card but the web site was not working for that function. Thanks for the heads up Sundance.
I did likewise. I can only support from my kitchen table at the moment.
But these Californians need to start thinking with their feet. The beautiful weather is not worth losing your freedom and your existence.
@Kristin
Or they could follow the example of thousands of California patriots who were protesting the lockdown a few weeks ago.
Why should the patriots leave? Kick out the tyrant politicians instead.
Thank you, fred2w…
What seems to be a growing, seriously underinformed (when it comes to Californians) cult just cannot stay off our case no matter what we do. We have to fight off the lefties who have invaded our state (look them up – many of the most prominent were born elsewhere) while fending off blows from those who profess to be the same as us – Conservative Republicans. Interestingly, the worst critics never mention the paradise where they live and what is so perfect about it.
@LULU
What baffles me is conservatives who dump on California are fans of Andrew Breitbart who was from the state.
I have observed over the past 12 years or so that conservatives can be just as vulnerable to group think as the left is.
Look what happens here on CTH when someone expresses a divergent opinion. The labeling and name calling is immediate.
Truth.
No, we won’t abandon our beautiful state, the state where so many of us were born and raised, to a bunch of relative newcomers who are trying to ruin what they don’t understand. A Republican state for many, many decades, we were invaded by welfare-seeking refugees from the dustbowl, looking for a handout. Then WWII brought the “defense industry” and more unions. Even with this, we sent President Ronald Reagan to Washington, DC.
President Trump got more votes in California in 2020 than any other Republican president before him, including Ronald Reagan. We flipped House seats. We will stay and fight. It would be nice if we felt other states – states that we do not slur, and whose people we support when they are in trouble – hit by hurricanes and tornados and other disasters – were not against us, supported us as we support them, but only we can fix our state. It is more than worth it.
@LULU
Trump did so well in CA because he campaigned there instead of writing the state off.
I flew in from my work assignment in FL to vote in person. I wanted to make sure….
LULU it is said as goes California so goes the rest of the USA. Clearly it is true. First they stole California and now they have all but stolen the entire USA.
While my home state of Ohio voted for President Trump our RINO governor Deslime is doing his demorat best Newsome imitation and with a couple of exceptions (Jordan) our other elected oafficials [sic] are worse than useless. Brad Wenstrup is bathering on about good new virus shots no less….
Let’s see if this *Solution* meme works (fingers crossed) because it really is the solution.
I sent this message, via their website:
Hello-
I may live in CT but I want you to know you are not alone. These tyrants are taking our lives from all of us. My wife had her business ruined. She built it back like you and here we are again- trying to keep it from being destroyed.
I want you to know there are millions like you. It’s time to push back. Line my wife- you gave nothing left to lose. They took it all illegally.
You and other businesses need to open up. Give Newsome the middle finger and fight back. His orders are illegal. And more so, you notice, he doesn’t follow them himself. Nor does he apply the business ruining edicts to his companies or companies his family owns.
We are with you. 70 plus million of us.
Valiant suggestion. Just so you know, LA County gave the shut down order (sidebar: yes that 500k per year do nothing, non-MD lady), and LA Mayor Garcetti will shut off water and power (LA DWP)for any offender.
Not a good place to be for a restaurant. She could continue to serve outside, bring in her own water and remove all her own waste.
Oh, martial law issued by creed of Mayor.
Low life’s who do t even pay their rent or utilities can’t just have it shut off.
I hope people’s eyes are being opened but I doubt it in a mass scare.
1. No/little sympathy. She is likely an uber progessive who supports left wing policies and only cries when it affects herself. She likely thought “orange man bad” when he was the man standing up for her rights.
2. Send Project Veritas to location to film and record this “movie” event that is being staged. Let the world see this level of hypocrisy that is happening all around the USA.
3. Until MAGA people take a stand (in the streets with out “pitchforks”), this is only going to get worse for us. The opposition has no intention of taking their boot off our throats.
What makes her “likely an uber progressive who supports left wing policies”? Where was that in her video?
It wasn’t in the video. But considering the politics of the state of Cali, it is a guess – “likely”.
Cali doesn’t get the label “most liberal” state without a reason – mos of their voters are left/far left of center.
@Ugly Cuss
I guess you missed Sundance’s post on the pro-Trump rallies in California.
Not everyone in CA is a Far Left nut.
If the evidence shows that numbers of “progressives” are learning the big lesson the hard way, and they want to cross over, let’s trust but verify as we welcome them into the arena of logic and common sense traditional values.
This is actually a myth. Our cities are ruled by corrupt left-wing politicians who steal the vote every election. I truly believe that. The problem, once again, is the weak-kneed Republicans who won’t put up a fight to stop it. I am a native Californian, as is my husband, and we are leaving. Can’t stand the corruption and can’t afford to pay for the liberal politics unless we want to work our fingers to the bone until the day we die.
I am right behind you. I live a mile from Pineapple Hill and am moving in a few days. Due to commitments, we’ll go to Ventura county and then off to a red state in 6 months.
If we could, we’d leave now!
How do you know. Have you been to CA?
I went shooting with a bunch of liberals a few from work a few weekends ago. They were getting ready for a possible civil war. They were all going to vote for PDJT.
CA was RED until about the time electronic voting systems came on the scene. I believe that CA is still RED.
The hatred of CA is off the charts.
Open your eyes. All elections in the past 20 years are suspect. CA was where the election fraud techniques are developed, tested and refined.
Indicator #1: Wearing a mask in an empty parking lot.
Indicator #2: Continuing to wear a mask while it’s obvious she is borderline hyperventilating, again… in an empty parking lot.
Indicator #3: Asking that someone else do something.
The “someone else” snag is what keeps this whole drama in stasis. If it ever tripped over to the point where an individual gets cornered with no legal way out, then that individual ends up acting in her own right, perhaps irrationally. Were that to happen, this overhyped virus and concomitant, precisely targeted lockdown would be turn into a bust from widespread disobedience at a minimum.
I guess you could call it axiomatic that pushed to far, humans push back, but we live in a civil society, and people are conditioned to obey order and law, so the urge is to conform and not be the standout who gets to be the example for others. That all changes, though, when one’s livelihood and home, etc., are at risk, for there is no where to go, no safe fallback. In short, there is no choice in such a circumstance.
Writ large, it is communism. The state MUST step in and provide for the needs of the idled to prevent mayhem, but it must procure those good and services somehow, and when people are idled, who produces? So, either way, the end state of communism is not attainable, and the path to it is historically laid out for us as grizzly.
Agreed – the issue is that we are not banding together to do it in force and en masse. As such, with each new example of bravery and someone crying out, they can be easily picked off one at a time.
The other example I always think about is Rittenhouse. Rather than thousands coming to his rescue, perhaps even standing in the way of his arrest (LITERALLY), we let him go down as another “lone wolf” nut rogue whatever they want to label it.
This will keep happening until we show up, by the hundreds of thousands, to force the hand of government instead of asking its permission to have our rights back.
Is she hyperventilating or does she have asthma? Do you really know? If she has asthma, she is at increased risk for serious illness if she contracts China Flu.
Spare me. Please.
She has a higher chance of death from lightening. Even with her having asthma.
Disagree. One might argue that she is giving no one in the MSM reason to dismiss her for being a “mask denier”. “Someone else” made the rule and “someone else” needs to change it. She cannot. She can rebel, then lose her liquor license and have the local FDA types shut her down for some infraction.
As one who has also had my business destroyed by my dictator in chief here in PA, I sympathize in the extreme. Last December through March this year were the best 4 months in a 12 year history, then due to Gov. Crying Wolf’s mandates, poof. gone.
You can add not ripping it off at the end of video and screaming “fork you Garcetti”.
Have you been to Los Angeles CA? People have been beaten by random strangers for walking outside, alone because they were not wearing a mask.
If you are not physically intimidating, you are risking your life in some parts of the county, if you do not wear a mask.
We are now “required” to wear a mask the second we leave our front door, due to the “health director” with no medical qualifications.
I can get away with it. Most women cannot.
To have posted a public video without the mask would have exposed her to draconian prosecution, including fines that she clearly cannot afford. Most of us working class plebes don’t have FU money, unfortunately.
Psychopathic tyrants care not one wit about their victims’ plight, misery, tears.
All of which they cause with their abuse of power.
They do care about retaining power and their personal safety.
Pitchforks?
You bet.
And then some.
This shows up later, but if it doesn’t follow Ugly Cuss, it doesn’t make sense. Second try, probably my bad; sorry about that.
Step 4: When officials violate their own edicts, we need a Federal SWAT team to pick the offenders up and hold them in a cell until they can be tried. See what their defense is, then everyone can use it.
It would be great if we had a way to establish a fund to contribute to these suffering, rebelling folks, preferably two funds—one from Liberal money and one from conservative money—and toss some money their way from the fund of their choice. Charity is not supposed to be that way, but if we keep rescuing Libs, we will always have them, ala “if you keep doing xxxxx, you will keep getting yyyyy.” We need a mental breakthrough with these Socialist-leaning folks. Okay, that’s just a dream, but it felt good to say it. Now, as you were.
I keep waiting to hear the COVID “pandemic” included in the list of strategies that were used to influence the election. Trump was far too successful invigorating small business owners and America’s Main street. In addition to all the forms of cheating that occurred on Nov 3rd, our enemies softened us up with the “pandemic,” making it possible to justify all the mail-in voting and social distancing that would protect their cheating from being observed. None of this is coincidental. We have been attacked.
The pandemic was the justification for allowing everyone in many states to vote by mail without requesting a mail-in ballot. That’s HOW we got to having tens of millions of ballots with no chain of custody, tied to no known voter and thus to a situation where whatever number of fake ballots were needed to put Dementia Joe over the top could be manufactured and then counted in the dead of night.
The victims of the Soviet gulags used to cry out to Stalin too…
Pro-tip: Stalin didn’t care, and as a sociopath, the kind of got off on it…
Bingo.
As things ramped up future Gulag victims passively sat on their hands certain that someone or something would come riding in to their rescue.
They cruelly paid with their lives.
History repeats itself when citizens will not read the handwriting on the wall.
“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking …”
A. Solzhenitsyn.
If the quote isn’t familiar, search for it. Hint: Americans DO love liberty enough.
Yes, the Solzhenitsyn quote should be in the forefront of all our minds.
“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?… The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If…if…We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation…. We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”
— Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn , The Gulag Archipelago 1918–1956
To which I’ll only add ~
But we Treepers should care.
The globalists are likely enjoying and gleefully sharing this woman’s tearful video. To those who were laughing and criticizing her, the enemy thanks you for falling for their divide and conquer tactics. Her prior stupidity or wisdom is irrelevant. She’s on our side now, we need all the help we can get.

I see comments that she’s probably liberal because she lives in California.
Not really fair.
I live in Washington state and they say the same thing about us.
Not all of us in these states are liberal.
Unfortunately we have a few major cities where the population is predominantly liberal and due to their numbers they outnumber the rest of the state.
We can vote red here but they always get the numbers they want.
We haven’t had a true election here since they stole the governorship from Dino
Rossi.
sceptical, I am constantly amazed at the ignorance I see.
Lulu
Exactly
There’s no way that Dimslee won this election fairly.
And it’s no surprise that the majorly blue counties use Dominion machines.
Are they contesting the votes/election there? They should be, as should California. But it doesn’t appear to be happening. This is why they stay in power. They cheat and everyone just lets them.
We have the same problem in NY
@scepticalcooper, hear hear. My dear neighbors campaigned so hard for Rossi and were heartbroken at the shady business counting the votes. That politician seemed to put up a weak effort the next time he ran for US representative against Schrier.
At least our 2020 (R) WA gov candidate is a fighter and willing to buck the system. Culp seems to have a heart and acts like he is well informed. Sidney Powell said recently that if an R candidate lost by less than 6%, they should not concede.

Ambassador Birx? WTH!
Looks like her 30 pieces of silver for selling out her country IMHO
Sorry, this was meant to be on the Daily.
I think this was a title she had prior to her work with the White House task force. Given that her work on HIV/AIDS was in multiple countries, it probably made sense that she have diplomatic immunity. From a State Dept bio page: “Ambassador-at-Large, Deborah L. Birx, M.D., is the Coordinator of the United States Government Activities to Combat HIV/AIDS and U.S. Special Representative for Global Health Diplomacy. ”
That is not to say, however, that there will not be future rewards…
Birx was made an Ambassador-at-Large for global AIDs program by Obama in 2014. Attached to Biden’s office.

SCOTUS seems to have left the scene: All just self serving convoluted nonsense:
I would like to point out that THIS Is Main Street, which President TRUMP”s policies revived.
And THIS is Wall Street aka K Street as of CoB yesterday:
S&P 500
3,699.12
+32.40 (+0.88%)
Dow 30
30,218.26
+248.74 (+0.83%)
Nasdaq
12,464.23
+87.05 (+0.70%)
So due to the lockdowns, Main Street is dying and Walk Street is flourishing?
Yes. Due to Lefty Lockdowns they are KILLING Main Street, and Wall Street aka K Street is being propped up by printed $$$ handed out by Nitwit Tehran Nan, mask sales, PPE, Cares Act Grants to buy foreign gubt “voting” equipment, vaccines and vaccine development all paid for BY YOU! Sorry. I meant your great grandchildren.

Target Sales Just Shocked Wall Street—Here’s How CEO Brian Cornell Did It
by Steven Bertoni
18 Nov 2020
“As the Covid-19 pandemic surges, shaking how Americans work, shop and live—Target’s sales continue to soar.
On November 18, Target announced its third-quarter financials that blew away Wall Street estimates. A few key stats: Comparable sales rose 20%. Total revenue climbed $22.6 billion—an increase of more than 21% over the same time last year. Digital sales jumped 155%. New digital-driven services like in-store and curbside pickup and personal shopping via Shipt grew 200%. Target’s roughly 1,900 stores fueled more than 95% of sales. Most impressive, Target grabbed $6 billion worth of market share from competitors in 2020. Shares are up nearly 50% over the last year.
Target and other big-box retailers like Walmart, Best Buy and Home Depot have shined as coronavirus and unemployment has thrown most of retail into the dark. These mega brands are posting strong gains while traditional retailer suffer losses, store closings and bankruptcies as the coronavirus and unemployment rock the country. ”

So Target and Walmart soar because the State deems them essential. I stepped into a Target once this year and they had no meat or produce. Just drygoods shelves.
Interesting that they didn’t shut down bars and bath houses throughout the AIDS epidemic in the mid eighties.
Evidently only certain lives matter.
BTW I live in SoCal and this is all to real. I am sure Newsom has someone shredding recall signatures as quick as they are being gathered. I don’t know of anyone who likes him
Ono, I tho’t the same thing yesterday. In fact I was thinking that there is more emphasis placed on making sure petition signatures are legal or illegal than there is on counting LEGAL VOTES.
Anyone know Fauxi’s sexual preference? There may be a clue there, not sure.
He likes people dead.
The plan is to destroy the middle class and abolish private property. Your children or grandchildren will live under communism or fight a massive war. We are fast approaching endgame not just in the US but worldwide.
They can plan what they like. Once it’s clear that we cannot say ‘no’ within the rule of law — likely around January 21 — we will say ‘no’ in other ways.
The Constitution and laws do not require us to march to the cliff edge and jump.
I bought a $20 virtual Reuben from her restaurant – I support her that’s is what I can do from the backwoods of NH

Does anyone know Angela Marsden’s political affiliation?
She is originally from the Midwest, according to a poster above. Does that help.
Most people in CA are not marxist demoncrats. The state has been stolen from us through election fraud over many years.
I am a lifelong Californian.
It is OK to not hate Californians.
I am registered a democrat, so my ballot is not immediately thrown in the trash, but I vote straight republican.

Honey it hurts to see them hurt you. They also permit antifa mobs to loot and burn your place.
I have in my office 2 desks. Both have sad stories.
I have a desk with handles on it From Russia and it is 200 years old. Mennonites found Russia was not a happy place. I have the genealogy and history in a book printed in German.
I have a 4,000 dollar desk from Bank America.
They acquired the state’s largest bank and fired all the Treasury department.
I moved my company into the high rise building space and bought all their expensive furniture, file cabinets etc. for 5 cents on the dollar. They even left their department office coffee pots with cups next to them with change to pay for office coffee. Forced and sudden evacuation.
I gave all my furniture to a church and they moved it out of my old offices for free.
Exodus is Biblical.
If 80 million patriots refuse to purchase anything made in China, then the Walmarts , targets etc. will hurt as most of their products will sit on their shelves collecting dust. We need to collectively boycott China!
It sickens me that people are too intellectually lazy to fight back effectively. When so-called Patriots say they shopped at Target or they saw something on FAUX news or they watched a pro football game, it tells me we are a country of pathetic losers, who don’t have the stones to fight the enemy at hand.
Is it really that difficult to hit them where it hurts them most -their pocketbooks? I wanted to order something from Wayfair, but I didn’t, because it is made in China.
C’MON MANNNNN.. We CAN do better than this! STARVE THE BEAST!!
Put out a social media post claiming the Proud boys are having a dinner there and we need to cause as much chaos as possible, so please show up and help stop this travesty.
The idiots on the left will pass it along and likely tear it up.
Republicans need to start doing lots of these dirty tricks. Use their tactics and lack of brains against them. Sooner or later, after many false set ups, they won’t know what is real or not.
From my own small twig – it’s been this way far longer than most non-native Angelenos might ever realize…
First, see this accurate article from the LA Times of three years ago:
https://www.latimes.com/local/california/la-me-owens-valley-eminent-domain-20170712-story.html
…
“This scheme became an essential piece of California history and the subject of the classic 1974 film “Chinatown.” In the Owens Valley, it is still known as the original sin that sparked decades of hatred for Los Angeles as the valley dried up and ranchers and farmers struggled to make a living.”
…
That was the early 1900’s Los Angeles City Fathers at work.
https://www.pbs.org/weta/thewest/people/i_r/mulholland.htm
“William Mulholland
(1855-1935)
A man obsessed with an engineering challenge of epic proportions, William Mulholland brought the Owens River to Los Angeles through a combination of determination and deceit.”
…
“What was quickly dubbed “the Owens Valley War” reached its climax on November 16, 1924, when seventy armed Valley men seized control of a critical aqueduct gate and completely shut off the flow of the river.
By the next day, about 700 of their friends and neighbors had joined them for a massive demonstration of civic solidarity.
The California governor refused to send in the state militia, despite the demands of Los Angeles business leaders; the local sheriff declared himself a “friend and sympathizer” of the rebels.””
…
Then the people flooded in.
Movie Studios, farms and villages turned into cities turned into urban sprawl.
Lockheed, North American Aviation, Howard Hughes, Douglas Aviation followed in the 1930’s to build, test and fly in the ideal climate for such endeavors.
The still unknown Rodgers Dry lake lay baked into the desert landscape of the Antelope Valley about 100 miles to the Northeast.
And still yet more people, turning into a stampede of sorts, westward, following victory over tyranny in World War Two.
…
The History of Chavez Ravine:
https://www.pbs.org/independentlens/chavezravine/cr.html
‘Children running and playing in a quiet hilly street with trees and houses.
They didn’t want to move. They didn’t want to lose their friends. They didn’t want to lose their homes…”
—Carol Jacques, former Chavez Ravine resident
“It’s the tragedy of my life, absolutely. I was responsible for uprooting I don’t know how many hundreds of people from their own little valley and having the whole thing destroyed.”
—Frank Wilkinson, former assistant director, Los Angeles City Housing Authority
Located in a valley a few miles from downtown Los Angeles, Chavez Ravine was home to generations of Mexican Americans.
Named for Julian Chavez, one of the first Los Angeles County Supervisors in the 1800s, Chavez Ravine was a self-sufficient and tight-knit community, a rare example of small town life within a large urban metropolis.
For decades, its residents ran their own schools and churches and grew their own food on the land.
Chavez Ravine’s three main neighborhoods—Palo Verde, La Loma and Bishop—were known as a “poor man’s Shangri La.””
…
“Los Angeles was also a rapidly growing city in the 1950s.
Despite its expanding population, the city had yet to host a major-league sports team.
County supervisor Kenneth Hahn began to scout out potential teams that might be willing to relocate to Los Angeles, including the Brooklyn Dodgers.
Dodgers owner Walter O’Malley soon struck a deal with the city officials, acquiring the minor league Los Angeles Angels and its small ballpark with the promise of a new stadium to be built on the land from Chavez Ravine.
As Frank Wilkinson explains in CHAVEZ RAVINE, “We’d spent millions of dollars getting ready for it, and the Dodgers picked it up for just a fraction of that.
It was just a tragedy for the people, and from the city it was the most hypocritical thing that could possibly happen.””
“Additional lawsuits froze the official transfer of land and delayed construction, but in 1959, the city began clearing the land for the stadium after removing the last few families that had refused to leave Chavez Ravine.
On April 10, 1962, the 56,000-seat Dodger Stadium officially opened.”
…
In 1977, per Wikipedia, this mirage of sorts was set to music.:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hotel_California
“Don Henley and Glenn wrote most of the words. All of us kind of drove into L.A. at night.
Nobody was from California, and if you drive into L.A. at night…
you can just see this glow on the horizon of lights, and the images that start running through your head of Hollywood and all the dreams that you have, and so it was kind of about that…
what we started writing the song about.”
“On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night
There she stood in the doorway
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself
“This could be Heaven or this could be Hell”
…
Meanwhile, the fortunes of those working at the Kayser Steel Mill, in nearby Fontana, didn’t fare much better…
https://www.fontanaheraldnews.com/news/kaiser-veba-closes-its-doors-after-31-years-of-providing-benefits-to-former-workers/article_eb38d2b6-b53e-11e9-996e-27b57d9eac85.html
“The steel mill was built by industrialist Henry J. Kaiser in the western unincorporated area of Fontana in 1942 and was the backbone of the local economy for 41 years before closing down. After Kaiser’s bankruptcy was finalized in 1987”
…
Not too many years later, much of the southern California Aerospace Industry also met a similar fate.
…
Nothing new under the sun.
Yes, her story must be told.
And it must be understood far and wide.
But understand the history of what she is up against.
Do not EVER believe THEY care.
THEY do not care about her in the least.
…
“It was just a tragedy for the people, and from the city it was the most hypocritical thing that could possibly happen.”
I saw a similar thing happen on LI under Obama’s HUD rezoning Lawfare. Hundreds of minority families of modest means were forced out of the trailer communities they had lived in for generations, to make way for -drumroll please- hundreds of brand-new “affordable” housing units!
The local politicians ran roughshod over the very people they were purported to be helping. It was an absolutely disgusting display of Agenda 21’s herding populations under the *guise* of affordable housing!

From HotAir. They get it:
Even at that, though, the “essential-ism” of the movie production is a non-sequitur. The production company is performing the exact same activity that Marsden does with her business — serving people food in those tents. Some Hollywood apologists are claiming, well they test their personnel every day, the food is plastic wrapped, and so on. That misses the point entirely. The supposed risk is in the proximity of dining, not in the food. How is the risk different between the two different patios? If anything, the sheer size of the production canteen is a higher theoretical risk, especially since it appears that the pathways in and out will create higher density than with Marsden’s set-up.
Plus, even if those statements are correct, that assumes that the order from Los Angeles involves some standard Marsden hasn’t met. It doesn’t; LA is shutting down outdoor dining, period. Garcetti isn’t even allowing Marsden or other restaurant owners the opportunity to meet an objective set of standards applied to everyone. Instead, Garcetti is forcing her to close her business in providing outdoor dining without any opportunity to demonstrate safety. And while Garcetti shuts down Marsden, he’s rubbing her nose in his hypocrisy by allowing Hollywood to do what he’s prohibiting Marsden from doing.
This demonstrates the utter corruption of Los Angeles leadership in this crisis. There is no rational or scientific difference at all between those two patios in COVID-19 transmission risk. If one is open, then the other should be open as well. If outdoor dining is verboten for Marsden, then outdoor dining should be verboten for Hollywood too, and its “essential” business sidelined just as Marsden’s is. Garcetti’s allowing one over the other and calling video and music production “essential” because his lips are firmly planted on Hollywood’s posterior.
Say, where are the Hollywood celebrities in this fight, anyway? They’re always concerned about the ordinary folk and preaching about solidarity and being “all in this together.” This would be a good time to put their mouths where their money is.
https://hotair.com/archives/ed-morrissey/2020/12/05/la-restaurant-owner-rips-garcetti-hypocrisy-shut-host-hollywood-canteen-parking-lot/
Marsden had just sunk $80,000 into setting up her outdoor dining area, which had been deemed OK and was to open the day this video was made. Then suddenly shut down by Garcetti and his “health supervisor”, non-MD Barbara Ferrer, who looks like a bad embalming job herself, who decided outdoor dining was too risky.
Never forget which passengers got locked in steerage as the Titanic sank.
As a self employed Florida restaurant owner, I thank God every day that Ron DeSantis is the governor of Florida. It is truly frightening to think what this state would look like if the Tallahassee con artist/pervert had won. I also thank God every day for the support of our local community as well as all the visitors, escaping their own governmental hells, who have supported us since this all began in late March. Without Ron DeSantis we would have been out of business and our 15 employees would be looking for new jobs.
I sent her $20.

I did as Sundance asked, I went to the website and got contact info and I called to express my support and to make a donation since I live several states away and cannot go in person to support the business.
Many on here are surmising that just because the business is located on the “left coast” that the owner is “left leaning” politically. I did not ask where she stands politically but had a short but great conversation. I did find out she did not grow up in CA but in the great Midwest and was on her way to a protest!
L.A. County Department of Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer is the one that needs to have the fear of God rekindled in her:
https://www.foxnews.com/health/dozens-gather-outside-home-of-la-county-health-director-to-protest-new-coronavirus-restrictions
She must become a household name. She cannot be allowed to hide in the shadows.
Know your enemy:
She has no qualifications for the job. She is a political activist, not a medical professional:
https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/2020/05/barbara-ferrer-social-welfare-queen-los-angeles-lloyd-billingsley/
FTA:
“The Los Angeles County Public Health Director is Dr. Barbara Ferrer, but local residents expecting a virologist, molecular biologist, or epidemiologist at the helm would be disappointed. Many were surprised to learn that, unlike her predecessor Dr. Jonathan Fielding, Dr. Ferrer is not even a medical doctor.
Ferrer earned a doctorate in “Social Welfare,” which might draw a blank from someone with a PhD in physics, mathematics, or history. Ferrer earned her PhD at Brandeis, which is sketchy on the course of study for social welfare. On the other hand, graduate Freida Kapor Klein touts hidden bias, diversity and inclusion. University of North Carolina professor La Verne Reid, speaks of “health inequities,” and Michael Levine, chief knowledge officer of the Sesame Workshop, hails “social justice policymaking.” Still, there may be more to it.
The Social Welfare doctoral program at UC Berkeley, “is designed to inspire independence and originality of thought in pursuit of knowledge.” The social welfare program develops scholars “who make significant contributions to social work and social welfare teaching, research, policy development and analysis, and administration” and “address a wide range of contemporary societal problems.” Social welfare doctor Barbara Ferrer did not study at Berkeley, but before her master’s in public health at Boston University, she earned a BA in “Community Studies” at UC Santa Cruz.
Community studies, the university explains, dates from 1969 and was “a pioneer in addressing principles of social justice, specifically inequities arising from race, class, and gender dynamics in society.” Students in the program “spend six months participating in and analyzing the work of a social justice organization,” and graduates have been placed in “food justice organizations, immigrant rights centers, homeless resource and support groups, queer and transgender organizations,” and other groups, “all pursuing a social justice mission.”
That background got Ferrer hailed as a “public health hero,” who with her partners “developed a blueprint for eliminating racial and ethnic disparities which would immediately enact change, beginning with the way research data was collected and received about health and morbidity to represent racial, ethnic and language differences.” That does not amount to medical science, but for Barbara Ferrer it didn’t matter.
With her MPH and doctorate in social welfare, Ferrer duly became health commissioner for Boston, then the chief strategy officer for the W.K. Kellogg Foundation which “supports children and families as they strengthen and create conditions that propel vulnerable children to achieve success as individuals and as contributors to the larger community and society.” In 2017, Ferrer made the move west to Los Angeles County, home to 10 million residents, approximately the population of Sweden.
Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas pronounced Ferrer “uniquely qualified to lead and serve Los Angeles County’s diverse populations,” and the county granted her an annual salary of $376,635. Three years later Ferrer pulls down a cool $465,411, more than the official salary of the president of the United States. As the coronavirus pandemic unfolded and Garcetti locked down Los Angeles, it emerged that Ferrer was not a medical doctor. When some questioned her qualifications, Ferrer pushed back.
“This is a tough job for anybody to have to do,” Ferrer told reporters. “The one thing I do want to note is I don’t make decisions by myself. I have an amazing team of public health practitioners.” As residents might have noted, it’s not Los Angeles County that has the amazing team but Barbara Ferrer her own self. The unelected health boss clearly has a sense of her own power.
Last week, after Dr. Anthony Fauci argued for keeping the lockdown in place, Ferrer announced that absent “dramatic change to the virus” the county would continue its shutdown for the next three months. Mayor Garcetti chimed in with “longer than three months,” followed by the proclamation that Los Angeles would “never be completely open,” until we have a “cure.” That was the position of California Gov. Gavin Newsom who said on May 7 that California would not return to normal until a vaccine for COVID-19 was discovered. As many in California and across the country have noted, that marks a steep escalation from “flattening the curve.”
Los Angeles County public health boss Barbara Ferrer is good with the lockdown, and the $465,611-a-year social welfare queen does not appear disturbed by the millions now out of work, the countless businesses going bust, and the students missing school. Barbara Ferrer is not a medical doctor but she boasts a background in the non-disciplines of “community studies” and “social welfare.” That makes Barbara Ferrer the ideal choice for politicians eager to exploit a pandemic for political ends, even if it deprives the people of their most basic rights.”

“I’ve voted democrat and supported them with donations all my adult life. Why are they doing this to me?” Lady, look up useful idiot in the dictionary and don’t be surprised to find your pucture as an example of one.
You are you and they are them, you just have to understand how liberal logic works, it is similar to feminist logic.

don’t take the cheese on this person. I checked her Facebook page and she is a leftie. She gave props to Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She admits on her page that she didn’t care about what Garcetti and Newsome were doing to other businesses while she was open. Now she is feeling the affects and she wants everyone to look at her.
She was nowhere to be found for others when they were suffering and now this Liberal (likely voted for both Garcetti and Newsome) is crying ‘woe is me.’
Tell me who you voted for. If she voted for Democrats, she made her bed and needs to shut up. Anyone who voted Democrat for anything in the last 40 years has no right to complain about what the Democrats are doing now.
They are the useful idiots who enabled these chump Democrat dictators.

There should be a huge class-action law suit from business owners nationwide to force government agencies into court to prove that covid-19 is all the government entities say it is. Of course, they should include the government demand that we all wear mask as part of the suit. From what I’ve read, masks are completely ineffective except n95 masks.
I feel terrible for the restaurant owners and the small shop owners. One third (!) of small businesses in NYC are permanently out of business thanks to the mayor and governor. They have ZERO compassion. They ONLY love Jeff Bezos and the Chinese businesses that profit from this bull.
But for every small business owner that ever put up a sign that said “Love Trumps Hate” or “Diversity is our Strength” or “Black Lives Matter” or ANY Leftist crap… I can only laugh. They brought this on themselves with gusto.

The really tragic part is that we would not need shutdowns, facemasks or social distancing, much less a dangerous rushed vaccine, if the elderly, high-risk and anyone else that demonstrated shortness of breath, were being treated immediately upon the presentation of symptoms or clinical suspicion of COVID-19, with a 99-100% effective (in elderly and high-risk individuals) $20 protocol of hydroxychloroquine+zinc+azithromycin (or doxycyclene). Life could return to normal and we could reach herd immunity in short order. This is a matter of fact.

There are now 192 HCQ studies with 126 of them having been peer reviewed, 100% of which demonstrate the efficacy of HCQ for treating COVID (and very few of those even used it in combination with all important zinc, and/or azithromycin).
