Schumer’s Position Toward Feinstein in 2020 Explains Schumer’s Maneuvers in 2016…

An interesting DC storyline surrounding Senate Judiciary Vice-Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein, and the lack of support for her based on party backlash, highlights an interesting shift in 2016 that few paid attention to. First, the current story:

(Via CNN) – Senate Democratic leaders on Tuesday pointedly refused to say if they supported California Sen. Dianne Feinstein staying in her post as the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, sidestepping questions about the veteran party elder after she praised Republicans’ handling of the confirmation proceedings for Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett.

[…] “I’ve had a long and serious talk with Sen. Feinstein,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told reporters when asked if he was looking to make changes atop the powerful committee. “That’s all I’m going to say about it right now.” (read more)

2020 Democrats are not happy with Senator Feinstein for not pushing the party narrative to seek and destroy SCOTUS nominee, Judge Amy Coney Barrett.  This helps highlight the 2016 motive to remove Feinstein from the vice-chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Senator Feinstein was the vice-chair of the SSCI during the 2016 operation to stop Trump & then frame the “insurance policy” against the incoming president-elect administration.

However, in order for the SSCI, the centerpiece for the legislative coup, to be successfully weaponized against President Trump in 2017, senate leadership knew they needed a different person, a more reliable partisan willing to usurp the administration; and that is why Feinstein was told to abdicate her position and was replaced by Senator Mark Warner.

That is why less than a month after the inauguration of President Trump, the new vice-chair of the senate intel committee was conspiring with political entities inside and outside government to carry out the plan.

Senator Mark Warner immediately went to work on the effort to remove President Trump by working with Dan Jones (Fusion-GPS) and Chris Steele via Adam Waldman.  A few months later that same plan was enhanced with the addition of the Weissmann/Mueller special counsel.  Warner was then working with the SCO (inside DOJ) and the team of Jones, Glenn Simpson, Adam Waldman and others outside government.

Part of that original plan included the distribution of the FISA warrant to reinforce an FBI Trump-Russia narrative against the Trump administration.  Building validity for that narrative is  why Vice-Chairman Mark Warner instructed SSCI Security Director James Wolfe to leak the Carter Page FISA application on March 17, 2017, to media.

It’s understandable when the Democrats can no longer tolerate a moderate. But at the same time, it’s hard to see Feinstein as a moderate. But perhaps compared to them, she would look like a moderate or even “far right” because she said “nice words.” Not allowed dear Dianne…not allowed.

Feinstein is a traditionalist. She still believes in the camaraderie of colleagues in the Senate. She also is not likely to be on board with packing the court or nixing the filibuster.

She is being asked to step aside in preparation for the agenda to do away with the filibuster and pack the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court thing in particular would originate in the Judiciary Committee. The other possibility is that perhaps there is some last minute shenanigans the Dems have in mind for the SC nomination, and Schumer is making it clear that Feinstein has to play along or she will face political retribution.

I maintain that they had their heads in the sand about RBG and refused to believe she would die, and if she did, that they couldn’t browbeat repubs into waiting, so they didn’t have time to replace her for this committee hearing. Again…..87. Flashback to an earlier time frame when there used to be real compromise. I suppose it’s possible she was into the “girl power” thing too, always an option.

Foul as Feinstein is, I remember my observations at the time of the Kavanaugh circus.

I am convinced that while she was giving the letter from Christine Two-Doors, she sat on it, and that it was Beach Friend Monica who leaked it after Feinstein failed to act. (Just after she advised Christine to erase her social media accounts).

Go back and look at the footage. Feinstein is clearly not a happy camper when the letter is brought up and Two-Doors is called as a witness after proceedings were meant to be at an end. She’s seriously angry as it makes it look like she sat on the letter all during normal questioning of Kavanaugh, then thew a spanner in the works at the last minute.

It may have been one of Feinstein’s staffers responsible for that foulness, but Monica is the more likely culprit, acting in desparation when she and Christine realized that Feinstein wasn’t going to play along with their obvious fraud.

  24. David R. Graham says:

The usual metaphor is, drain the swamp, which IIRC, originated with Nancy Pelosi (?). Contemplating the metaphor, I thought, yes, that is why we see so much scum at the top reaches of American politics and institutions: scum usually resides at the bottom of a swamp, but when the swamp is drained, the water level de-elevates such that the scum which sat at the bottom of the swamp now sits at its top. The bottom of a drained swamp is its new top. Scum also sits at the top of a swamp whose waters slow to a crawl or stop altogether.

Rivers, OTOH, have scum neither on their bottom nor their top, because their waters are moving right along and do not slow or stop.

So, to clean a swamp, which is a natural part of a river, only with slower-moving water, one would flush it, not drain it. Draining a swamp merely surfaces scum, who promptly stink up the place, as we see in so many American institutions. A reformer moves fresh waters into and through a swamp, to clean it and even scour the swamp’s bottom, moving scum out into fast water, which dissipates it.

POTUS Trump got the waters moving again. The Party succeeded largely in slowing the waters down and partially draining the swamp so scum could form and putrefy again: lockdown the economy (the waters), push thugs, judges, and lawyers (the scum) against cities, businesses, and citizens (the swamps). The Party will be content to stop the waters altogether, to *give scum a chance* to cover the tops as well as the bottoms of American institutions (the swamps).

Swamps are natural and beneficial in many ways. They have honored places among the powers of being. Swamps grow noxious and harmful only when their waters move at speeds insufficient to keep at least their tops free of scum and clean for nutrition. Flush a swamp, do not drain it, so to speak. Malevolent personalities (scum) quit institutions (swamps) whose communications (waters) run deep and sure.

Feinstein is indeed an evil woman. Yet, we are ALL made in the image of God, and we ALL have at least a spark of good in us. This is not an excuse, and certainly is NOT a basis for pardoning her many crimes, which should be punished severely before she dies.

Frankly, however, I think that on a personal level she LIKES Amy and deeply ADMIRES her. This was evident to me at the end of the hearing when she had a smiling exchange with Amy. Not so for Brett. He is a good and brilliant man, but Amy is SAINTLY. Christ dwells BRIGHTLY in her and RADIATES from her. Perhaps Feinstein “found God” through Amy’s Christ-like presence at the hearing. Perhaps that is why she refused to do the devil’s work this time.

She may also fear the extreme trouble brewing for her and her party, and feared doing any more dastardly deeds at this time. It is NEVER too late to come to Jesus!

I know that one had better be wearing the full Armor of God to survive in such an environment. There is no other defense.

I am reminded of one of my favorite novels called ‘The Worm Ouroboros’. It is about two noble nations; one in which the people are raised without fear and the other tainted by an inherited curse which instills fear and mistrust. An epic tragedy.
