We should start a clamor for Trump to appoint THREE new justices now…. won’t happen but (1) we can make the leftards have more hysterical meltdowns, and (2) we can proclaim how reasonable and fair we are as we “settle” for only one. As in a negotiation where you start off asking for more than you expect to get….. of course “we” are not negotiating since Trump & Mitch hold all the cards (assuming enough RINOs don’t fold)…. but still, it would be fun to see the Demtard freaking out at the prospect of three new conservative justices when they have just been proclaiming that court-packing is ok (only for them, of course).

Thought this might be interesting. The CDC has updated the COVID Pandemic Planning Scenarios. They do not provide an overall Infection Fatality Ratio but have broken down by age groups. In scenario 5, the Current Best Estimate, here are the fatality ratios (Rates).

    0-19 years 0.00003 (.003%)
    20-49 years 0.0002 (.02%)
    50-69 years 0.005 (.5%)
    70+ years (0.054) (.54%)

In addition, they state that 40% of all infections are asymptomatic. if you are under 70, IFR has to be much less than .1 % which is no more lethal than the flu and probably less lethal.

    • TexSwede says:

My mistake on the 70+ percentage. Should be 5.4%. Over 70 you still have a 95% survivability rate.

      • Judith says:

My understanding is that 80 percent of the population exposed to COVID-19 do *not* test positive at all. Those cruise ships were floating incubaters, but 80 percent of their passengers did *not* test positive. I’ve known families where some got sick but others in the same household did *not* test positive.

Of the 20 percent exposed to COVID-19 who DO test positive, about 3-4 percent of them have succuumbed to the virus, and 98 percent (of that 3-4 percent) who do succumb, have more than one underlying health condition that contributes to their deaths. So those populations at higher risk have been identified and they account for 98 percent of the relatively small number of COVID-19 deaths.

If we prescribed HCQ + Zinc (+AZ to those showing symptoms) at an early stage, most of the 3-4 percent who succuumb would in fact recover.

This virus is not as contagious, nor as deadly for *healthy* people, as previously thought. Even those in high risk groups will recover with the proper medical intervention.

        Liked by 6 people

        • Maquis says:

If we were, especially high risk groups, taking HCQ+Z prophylactically, we’d discover that it beat most viruses and then who’d need to pay for seasonal vaccines?

The numbers you cite seem like normal death rates, even in the absence of any pandemic.

My husband got a suspected spam text advising him there are two ways to vote for Joe Biden on the ballot.

He can vote for Joe as a Democrat or he can vote for him on “The working Families Party” line.

We live in Florida, I have not seen a sample ballot, does anyone know if Biden is actually on the ballot twice?? Or is this a scam to scoop up Biden voters for some socialist party?

My husband is voting for DJT, not sure why he got the spam text. It just peaked my curiosity as to whether Joe managed to get on the ballot twice here and if so is that even legal?

    • LDave says:

Sounds more like a ploy to help DJT. They’re siphoning off votes from the Democratic party to the working families party.

    • dilonsfo says:

They use a plan called Electoral Fusion: Electoral fusion is an arrangement where two or more political parties on a ballot list the same candidate, pooling the votes for that candidate. It is distinct from the process of electoral alliances in that the political parties remain separately listed on the ballot. The practice of electoral fusion in jurisdictions where it exists allows minor parties to influence election results and policy by offering to endorse or nominate a major party’s candidate. Electoral fusion is also known as fusion voting, cross endorsement, multiple party nomination, multi-party nomination, plural nomination, and ballot freedom

This party initially backed Elizabeth Warren. When Warren dropped out they back Bernie Sanders. When Sanders backed out they endorsed Biden. The Working Families Party was started by a Jesse Jackson staffer and was originally called The New Party. It is communist in its background.

Fusion voting is allowed in 8 states and Florida is not one of the states. The largest state that allows this type of voting is New York states and Cuomo currently has a law suit to ban Fusion voting.

      Hope this helped.

  9. Henry says:

I don’t see how this is even possible? The pool Hass to be rigged.

For the poll, Rasmussen developed two distinct models apart from the general survey, one predicting a heavy Republican turnout and one modeling a Democratic advantage in voters.

“The Strong Republican turnout model shows the president within 3 points – exactly where the polling averages ended up in 2016,” Rasmussen said. “That would suggest a very close race in the Electoral College.”

“The Strong Democratic turnout model shows Biden up 10 – a potential landslide,” he also said, while pointing out that nearly half of all voters plan to ballot either early or by mail, which at this time would strongly favor Biden.

Polls right now, as with all polls right now, (and I do not trust even Rasmussen), are meant to demoralize and depress us into thinking that all is lost, that no matter how much effort we make to convince people that voting for the president is the right move, there will never be enough Trump voters, so don’t waste your time!

I do not believe any of these polls. Not a single one. I don’t believe any observant Trump supporter/voter believes them either, so there is no need to worry of depressing or demoralizing us. Biden car parade. 3 cars in one and they had to stretch it to get to 40 in another. No rallies for Biden. Appearances? I don’t think you could generously count 50 anywhere at any time. Compare that to Trump rally numbers, ( even in Beverly Hills more Trump supporters than any of Biden’s events), all across this country and even in what are considered blue states. Trump boat parades . . .. .one set a world record. Trump car parades are in the hundreds, and even the Amish parade beat the Biden parade. Depressed/demoralized. Not Trump folks. Who I might add, are enthusiastic, upbeat, happy, while Democrats are out there as hateful and ugly as you can find.

I say President Trump and the Republicans should drag this appointment and confirmation out for about another month.

In the meantime, PT and the Republicans lead the charge for a huge celebration of life for RBG, multiple high-profile funerals in different locations around the country, just like Floyd and John Lewis.

The Dems wont care about that as they will be consumed with PTs appointment and the confirmation.

They will just yell and scream and freak out for a month, with normal people watching them devolve further into madness.

Then, late October, the Senate votes and confirms the appointment 50-47 with Collins, Murk and Romney abstaining…. (or something, but I dont think there are enough votes to block)

The carrier Yorktown was badly damaged at the Battle of the Coral Sea and limped back to Pearl Harbor where it was estimated that repairs would require at least 2 weeks. The Navy knew – thanks to code breakers- that Yorktown was needed for the impending Midway battle. The repairs were completed in 48 HOURS and Yorktown sailed out for the battle. A modium of effort by our Republican Senators and 48 hours should be sufficient to confirm Trump’s nominee. It is all silly B— S—. The dems have told us that they intend to fundamentally change our country and to do so without the consent of the governed. We are looking at a battle and need the full compliment. I expect to see democrat losses which will be the electoral equivalent of 4 sunken Japanese carriers on the evening of Nov 3, 2020.

Well, we pay the wages of our federal government employees, who in turn use our tax dollars to pay dues to these public unions.

In compliance with current federal policy (and other Administration policies), these unions advocate for protected and interminable jobs accommodated with bloated taxpayer-supported salaries and benefits.

These unions use taxpayer-supported union dues to contribute to the political candidates who will ultimately be paid a taxpayer-supported salary for passing legislation to keep increasing the size and cost of our taxpayer-supported limited government.

The lengthy processes and checks and balances were all designed to prevent the concentration of power.
The peaceful transfer from one administration to the next was designed to prevent the concentration of power in government.

The coronavirus pandemic might have been prevented if not for Chinese cover-ups in the early days of the outbreak and the World Health Organization “parroting” Beijing propaganda, according to a damning audit from the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

The 96-page report — obtained by The Post ahead of its planned Monday release — says the Chinese Communist Party destroyed evidence and buried troubling data, while nationalizing the supply chains and limiting exports of US companies 3M and General Motors, keeping key goods in the country.

It does not mean there may not be a significant number who lost months or possibly one or more years of life, but to fully understand the data we need to know how many otherwise “healthy” people die of Covid and how many were far along a fatal path due to existing medical issues:
