      Solid point.

For decades, in St. Louis, we’ve always voted at a school (in my district anyways). Which school it is has changed over the years – but always at a school.

This actually seems like a “big deal” kind of a realization; one that cannot be forgotten once seen.

The local news here in Ca was unbearable tonight. The LA mayor is a PIG and so is Newsom. They now have the power to cut off utilities (water and power) for a large gathering. This is just getting to be UNBEARABLE…..but the covid numbers were crazy today. This is INSANE. So if Pelosi should become President it would be a great way to weasel in Newsom somehow. That would be her dream. They probably have wet dreams thinking how they going to do this. Heaven help us.

Years ago, when my parents were young and voting they would tak us. In our area, some of the polling places were like wooden trailers set up with the voting booths inside and registration tables. There were 2 doors, one at each end of the trailer where you enetered through one and exited at the other with the voting machine in the middle.

That’s when the voting machines were like slot machines. You pushed down the small levers under the candidates names and when you were finished, you pulled a big lever that caused the little levers to pop up, record your votes internally and the curtain opened at the same time. We loved watching it all. They were stand alone polling places put in place in various locations through out the towns and then removed and stored after election day. Eventually the polling places were all put in schools, church halls and fire halls as they are still today here.

“One irony, of course, is that apart from the FBI, one of the main parties responsible for disseminating the contents of the Page FISA is Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), who even attempted to declassify the entire application (and ultimately succeeded in getting the DOJ to declassify and release parts of it) despite believing that it was unlawfully obtained. (50 U.S.C. Sec. 1809(a)(2) makes it a crime to “intentionally disclose…information obtained by…electronic surveillance, knowing or having reason to know that information was obtained through electronic surveillance not authorized” by FISA). Nunes’ wide dissemination of the contents of the Page FISA to the public is something the DOJ can never undo.”

The Clean Network program is the Trump Administration’s comprehensive approach to guarding our citizens’ privacy and our companies’ most sensitive information from aggressive intrusions by malign actors, such as the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Today, I am announcing the launch of five new lines of effort to protect America’s critical telecommunications and technology infrastructure.

These programs are rooted in internationally accepted digital trust standards and built upon the 5G Clean Path initiative, announced on April 29, 2020, to secure data traveling on 5G networks into U.S. diplomatic facilities overseas and within the United States.

“A Supreme Court Divided Cannot Stand. John Roberts Must Step up or Step Off”

The Supreme Court has turned into a sieve. Last week, CNN reporter Joan Biskupic published a four-part series that revealed the high court’s private deliberations. Even worse, the leaks were designed to advance specific narratives about which justices are strong and which are weak. Chief Justice John G. Roberts is all-powerful. Justice Neil Gorsuch appears decisive. Justice Brett Kavanaugh looks weak and ineffective. And Justice Elena Kagan lurks in the background, eager to lend a helping hand to form a moderate coalition. We do not know who leaked the information to the press. It could have been the justices, their law clerks or even allies outside the Court. Frankly, it doesn’t matter. These leaks have no doubt destroyed trust and camaraderie on the Court. Relationships will become distant, and the workplace will become even more toxic. There is only one person who can restore order to the Court: Chief Justice Roberts.

Alas, I doubt the George W. Bush appointee is up to the task. Roberts fancies himself the second coming of the great Chief Justice John Marshall. Not even close.

A Supreme Court divided cannot stand. If Roberts cannot unite the Court, he must leave it.

JAIL FAUCI: New Report Compares Turkey COVID Treatment with HCQ vs. USA Without HCQ and the Results Are Crystal Clear
    By Jim Hoft
    Published August 5, 2020

A new report was released by Sky News on Turkey’s COVID-19 Coronavirus early hydroxychloroquine treatment strategy and the results are clear.

The early treatment program in Turkey relies on hydroxychloroquine as the first step in the therapeutic process. reported:

Sky News’ story about “Turkey’s COVID Detectives” by special correspondent Alex Crawford is remarkable.

It not only covers the track and trace teams in action in Turkey, but also the therapeutic approach, which relies on hydroxychloroquine as a first step to treat symptomatic patients.

The Turkish approach is at odds with most countries, such as the UK, where symptomatic patients are asked to stay home, wait, until the symptoms essentially become unbearable, and then serious complications and hospitalization become very likely.

    Via Worldometers:
The USA has 488 covid deaths per one million in population.
Turkey has 69 covid deaths per one million in population.

And here is a larger analysis including the US and Turkey and HCQ use.

Take the states that seeded COVID into nursing homes and spiked their death counts, and the American statistics look much better overall. Stop listening to Fuaci and Company; they have zero patient experience with the disease and have lost credibility with the public by being consistently inconsistent to the point of becoming ridiculous. Follow the advice of the doctors who have successfully treated patients. PROMOTE WELLNESS: give preventive medical guidance to the people about how to boost their immunity with Vitamins D and C, zinc, and quercetin. For most people, this virus is easily beaten with prevention and early treatment, and we now have real doctors who know how to handle the difficult cases because they have done it. End the national state of emergency; it is no longer necessary.

California, New Jersey, Michigan, Minnesota some other Democrat-run states still have a policy of sending Covid19 infected patients into nursing homes like the smallpox infected blankets given to Indians by the British near Fort Pitt in 1763 during Pontiac’s War.

The infected blankets were given under orders of General Amherst, CIC of British Forces in North America.. Amherst hated the Chief Pontiac’s Ottawa warriors because, “Indian warriors would not stand in ordered ranks; they fell back into the forests only to emerge again in renewed attack.” and “Every tree became an Indian.”

It took 267 years to find another act so barbarous on this continent. And while it’s likely true our beloved seniors won’t stand in ordered ranks for the Dem governors, it’s doubtful they have been falling back into the forests only to emerge again in renewed attack from behind trees..

The cynical part of me thinks these Dem governors can’t be That tone-deaf.

Could they be seeing these senseless murders as “twofers”. More deaths to justify their despotic lockdowns, and cost-savings on medical care for the elderly.

Agree — it’s very clever, even diabolical branding. I picked up on that awhile back. It’s why big corporations who want to appear woke are pouring millions into their coffers, regardless of what the money is actually used for. They feel like it proves they believe black lives matter.

That’s sort of how “Make America Great Again” works, except in reverse . Liberals who actually like America feel like if they say they want to make America great again, they are not just appearing to be pro-America, but pro-Trump. Similarly, I read something in our “Dear Amy” advice column recently from a liberal who wanted to fly an American flag on their front lawn, but were afraid they would be perceived as right-wingers, because they feel that “we” hijacked the flag. (Amy, who is a liberal, told them to fly it anyway.)

The nature of the question and answer was… well, predictable. I mean, Congress. Yates couldn’t answer the hard questions, as much as she tried to reach into her bag of Lawyerly Language and Hair Splitting. And the questioning could have been even harder from the R’s, IMO.

But the thing that drove me UP A WALL was the “thank you for your 30 years of service in the DOJ” ass-kissing nonsense. NOT necessary. This is not the day for platitudes.

YOU were involved in a soft coup/conspiracy to defraud the United States Of America, Ms. Yates. Even if you weren’t directly involved in the scheme, YOU were complicit. YOU could have put a stop to it in early January 2017. Considering YOUR proximity to unfolding events in early January 2017, YOU KNEW the Flynn coounter-intel investigation was closed, done, finito. YOU knew after the Flynn interview a couple weeks later that Flynn did not lie to the FBI… the interviewing agents said so. Did you stand up and say: “ENOUGH! THIS IS NOT HOW THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE OPERATES!” No, you did not. So don’t tell me about “integrity” and “commitment”. Fail on your part.

Oh… you were no friend of James B. Comey… but you were no enemy either.

Plenty of excellent movies from the days when they were great available.

Prime Video appears to have just dumped in a bunch of films Samuel Goldwyn produced in the 1940’s. I’ve been churning through them like a bag of candy. No, I’m not old enough to know them from the time, I’m a baby boomer, but I love classic films. Well-written scripts, great acting, slow development (but that works fine for me – I love a respite from the frantic pace of today’s films) – they leave me feeling fine.

I don’t need the physical theatres at all – especially not AMC which is owned by CCP.
