Lancet Retracts Medical Study Critical of Hydroxychloroquine – Study Results Were Designed for Political Purposes…

The medical journal Lancet has now fully retracted their prior claimed “scientific study” against the use of Hodroxychloroquine.  The Lancet study was quickly and purposefully used by all major media outlets to attack President Trump for his advocacy of the drug as an effective treatment for the COVID-19 virus.

It now appears the purpose of the fraudulent “scientific study”, conducted by a sketchy outfit called Surgisphere – who mysteriously appeared only after President Trump advocated for the treatment, was to weaponize medicine for political purposes.

After they were exposed for their role in pushing manipulated data, Lancet has now fully retracted their study in an attempt to retain credibility.

LANCET – Today, three of the authors of the paper, “Hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine with or without a macrolide for treatment of COVID-19: a multinational registry analysis”, have retracted their study.

They were unable to complete an independent audit of the data underpinning their analysis. As a result, they have concluded that they “can no longer vouch for the veracity of the primary data sources.” (continue reading)

Don’t expect the media to announce the Lancet retraction, or apologize for their role in pushing the political narrative around it.   Journalism is dead as the entire profession has now been exposed as nothing more than narrative engineers.

The Wuhan Virus was exploited for maximum economic damage and political value by an international group of operatives who needed to stop the rise of economic nationalism.

There are trillions at stake, and the desperate need to retain control of global economics by a small group of institutional elites in the banking, trade and finance sector; led to the virus being exploited.  The resulting global crisis is based on their hoax.

The “red flag” / “dead giveaway” on the falsity of the Lancet article is that none of their claimed analyses included zinc. Dr. Zelenko specifically points out that zinc is necessary for the treatment to be successful. Several “anti HCQ” articles have the same glaring flaw.

      • GB Bari says:

Exactly. HCQ does not kill the virus.
Zinc doesn’t kill it directly but prevents it from reproducing.
But zinc cannot get at the virus to do that until HCQ opens up a “canal” thru the cell wall and into the virus’ interior.

It’s the combination of both substances that stops the virus from multiplying and overwhelming the immune system. Then, the body’s immune system takes over and destroys the virus cells.

It has been very frustrating to see the disinformation and misinformation being spread by anti-Trump media, medical officials, and generally uninformed people. Even the President really did not consistently identify the need to include zinc along with HCQ.

Why doesn’t someone do an investigative review of Fauci and his professional and personal relationships with pharma businesses, associations and any personal financial relationships/investments? Would he personally benefit if Hydroxychloroquine was completely discredited? Financially? His professional conflicts are enormous when this question comes into discussion. Again, the swamp and entrenched political class is challenged now every day and being discovered to be frauds and bad actors.

I did the same. I ordered Quercetin (an Ionophore like Hydroxychloroquine, that channels Zinc through the cell wall) and Zinc supplements, in case I get symptoms of COVID-19. No prescription is necessary!

I also found Black Elderberry + Vitamin C + Zinc chewable gummie supplements, which I have taken on an empty stomach (so it won’t interact with anything except Zinc) as a prophylaxis. The Elderberry contains Quercetin, as does blueberries, cherries, red wine, red onions..

I was told to monitor my iron if I take Quercetin over a long period, as it crowds the cells to keep out COVID-19, but it also blocks Iron. And Iron is necessary for the red blood cells to transport oxygen throughout the body.

Your question starts with the flawed premise that,”WE” at some point in the recent past,…”HAD” the House, and then presumably “LOST” it.

If you consider “WE” to be we deplorables, we the 94% of registered Republicans who support PDJT,…WE the folks in the first words of the Constitution “We, the People”,…

O.k. then WHEN did WE ,…HAVE the House? Certainly not after the 2016 election, when House leadership did NOTHING to support, and everything they could to undermine us and PDJT!

So, might I suggest first rejecting any notion that “WE” lost the House, in the 2018 midterms. Leadership just passed from Paul Ryan, sworn enemy, to Nanzi Pelosi, sworn enema,…er enemy.

To see it any other way, is frankly to be fostering a delusion, with no basis in reality…IMHO.

I have no clue what is going to happen, but here are some thoughts:

          1. Until we outlaw out-of-state donations for House reps and Senators, big Wall Street and globalists’ dollars will decide who gets elected as “our” congressional representatives.

          2. The globalists are ineluctably eroding our Constitution, including its First and Second Amendment protections. The phony “Russia-Trump collusion” campaign, and its bogus investigations, prosecutions and impeachment components, violated targets’ Fourth, Fifth and Fourteenth Amendment protections. The Tenth Amendment, despite governors’ issuing lockdown orders, is mainly breached.

The impeachment was a direct assault on Article III, and a rejection of the will of We the People in electing Donald J. Trump.

People have talked about secession, and civil war. What few have considered is executive actions including cancellation of the 2020 election, rounding up the leaders of the coup plot and exiling or executing them, and demoting some states to territories, which would, per se, remodel Congress. From my perspective, I don’t want to lose my right to vote, but it is already being taken from me by illegal alien voting and other forms of election fraud, so I don’t have a lot to lose if PDJT follows the precedent established by the Romans.

    • I predicted these BS studies.

      For your reference:

      Hydroxychloroquine Facts:

      – Used for 60+ years (1958)

      – 100+ Million people used it

      – Safely used for long time (years) by Lupus patients

      – 10,000 Lupus users tested, not a single one tested positive on Corona Virus

      – CDC declared it as safe to take for even pregnant women

      – Out of patent = free market = cheap ($20 for treatment)

      – Used in India as preventative

      – French scientific study over 1,000 patients, 98% cure rate

      – Brazil hospital, 90 deaths before HCQ, 0 deaths on 500 patients after using HCQ

      – New York Doctor (Dr. Zelenko) 98% success rate on hundreds of patients

Be aware of the BS “studies” that try to disprove the above:

      – Above recommended dosage it is dangerous. Really? You can kill people with too much water!

      – Below recommend dosage (instead of 400 mg they used 100 mg) – Not very effective, no kidding!

      – Doing a “blind study” where instead of comparing to a placebo like a sugar ill they used another effective treatment (vitamin C). This was a Gates funded study

      – Dismissing it because it is not 100% effective. The flu vaccine has an average of about 30-70% effectiveness. Almost nothing has 100% effectiveness.

      – Used too late and without Zinc for Corona virus. HCQ and zinc can stop the virus from replicating, but it does not repair damage. HCQ without zinc is not very effective.

      – Skewing the baseline, e.g. using sicker patients for HCQ test than the alternative test

      and on and on.

The most recent Virginia study used at least no zinc, too late and had more sick patients in the HCQ group than the other, see https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/04/devastating-renowned-french-dr-didier-raoult-destroys-liberal-trump-hating-media-va-junk-report-hydroxychloroquine-video/

I’ll add a small fact to your
        – 10,000 Lupus users tested, not a single one tested positive on Corona Virus

Zinc is included in many (most?) simple multi-vitamins

It’s quite likely that those lupus individuals take a mutivitamin

Also, “red meat and poultry provide the majority of zinc in the American diet. Other good food sources include beans, nuts, certain types of seafood (such as crab and lobster), whole grains, fortified breakfast cereals, and dairy products”
        https://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/Zinc-HealthProfessional/

So I’d speculate that most or all of those lupus patients testing negative for coronavirus were getting sufficient zinc with which hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) could help facilitate into cells and gain a prophylactic / preventative protection

My mutivitamin has 11mg of zinc, the recommended intake for males (8mg for females)

You’d have to add dietary/food zinc to that to know your intake, but it’s likely less than the 70-100 mg zinc cited in treatment protocols

But that’s treatment. Again, lower amounts of zinc might be sufficient for prevention using HCQ

But for treatment of patients who’ve already contracted coronavirus and are at various stages of illness, the higher concentrations of zinc are probably required for treatment

Failing to include those higher doses of zinc in HCQ trials likely doom them to showing negative outcomes for “trials” and “studies”

Treating the walking dead (already very sick, one foot in the grave, basically” is a way also to ensure negative outcomes (“little to no efficacy”, “40 percent died”, yada yada)

I firmly believe many of the recent “trials” of HCQ were designed to fail – intentionally

        Trumplandslide,

The Gateway Pundit story did not mention a VIRGINIA report, but a “VA” = Veterans Affairs report from South Carolina. Three coauthors were from U Virginia, but from the Ophthalmology Department. Covid has no known effects on the eye. These UVA coauthors were added to give the report “more institutional credibility”, bogusly.

Basically, the report described, retrospectively, the uncontrolled-treatment results of some VA hospitals’ using HCQ or CQ in mechanically-ventilated patients who were given the antimalarials as a last-ditch effort. Actually most survived, just not as many as all VA patients who had Covid, who were comprised mostly of patients who never deteriorated to the point of being given mechanical ventilation.

The take-home of the report was, “The mortality for our most-critically-ill Covid patients was higher than the mortality for our non-critically-ill Covid patients.” Doh!

Forming partnerships with hundreds of hospitals, formatting electronic medical records in dozens of different languages and pushing the forefront of technology in machine learning and AI is an insurmountable task for a large multi-talented team over many months, let alone one person in a few weeks.”

“Dr. Desai appears to be the founder of Surgisphere, which was formed in 2007. A PubMed search for “Sapan Desai” shows 39 medical publications in the last five years. With the exception of the two very recent COVID-19 papers, the Surgisphere database does not appear to have been used in any of the other 37 publications. Why would the founder of Surgisphere have access to one of the largest repositories of real-time patient data, but not use it until publishing on COVID-19?

If we ignore the image of multiple shell corporations enshrouding a hastily organized Surgisphere Corporation and stick to analyzing the COVID-19 data from the Lancet study, the findings are even less reassuring.”

High moral culpability and gross public fraud? Check.

also same thing with “studies”..some have ONLY used chloroquine and then reports: see it doesn’t work.

bigger picture: most scientific “papers” are published and then (if at all), later peer reviewed.

this is very problematic in the scientific community…there is a corrupt trend to publish as many as possible as there are funds available the more production happens…

in addition, many scientific papers DO NOT ACTUALLY PERFORM ANY EXPERIMENTAL TESTS AT ALL. Many simple collect other studies and through the magik of algorithimic smoothing they presume to create orange to orange out of oranges to dolphins and make a grande burrito out of it.

The conclusion of the study is that hydroxychloroquine has no effect. (To quote: “After high-risk or moderate-risk exposure to Covid-19, hydroxychloroquine did not prevent illness compatible with Covid-19 or confirmed infection when used as postexposure prophylaxis within 4 days after exposure”.)

The study, however, makes no mention of zinc. Yet it is well known that zinc should be included in the treatment. Thus, this seems to be another study that is designed to fail.

In this vein, there were a number of studies reported that people could die of heart issues. Since this was already well known, they basically killed people who they knew never should have been given this drug.

And then there was the study that waited till the patients were on death’s door before administering the drug. They reported a higher instance of death on the drug of course.

The minute I saw the headlines about the HCQ article in Lancet, I knew it was bogus. It fit the anti-Trump agenda a little too coincidentally. I spent 10 years in academic medicine, and left for private practice because of the politics of medical publishing. A major problem is the manner in which articles are “peer reviewed”. Peer review is not a vigorous exchange of ideas. Because of the manner in which articles are reviewed, peer review fosters “same” thinking and ignores new or unpopular results that don’t agree with the dogma of the day.

Articles submitted to the editor for publication are forward to “experts” working in the area of the article for review. Typically, the “experts” with the biggest government grants get to “review” these articles. These experts often have their grant monies supplemented by private industry. So if a COVID article is submitted, it will most likely be sent to a group doing COVID research (think vaccine$$$$$). Naturally, they wouldn’t favor a cheap effective medicine like HCQ. If the article says HCQ is bad/dangerous/ineffective, they will favor that article. The head of the lab may briefly scan the article, up-vote or down-vote the article, and the article will be written by a lab tech or person with no formal training in scientific methods.

Had just sent an e-mail to a friend (see below) who has a PhD in biology and keeps claiming the studies show HCQ does not work against COVID-19, while mocking President Trump. Then, I came to the CTH and saw this latest article by Sundance. Made my day!

    Dear X:

Just found this in the Lancet today: HCQ study by Surgisphere, which had claimed HCQ ineffective against COVID-19 and put patients at higher risk, has been retracted:

    https://www.thelancet.com/lancet/article/s0140673620313246?utm_campaign=tlcoronavirus20&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social

Today, three of the authors of the paper, “Hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine with or without a macrolide for treatment of COVID-19: a multinational registry analysis”, have retracted their study. They were unable to complete an independent audit of the data underpinning their analysis. As a result, they have concluded that they “can no longer vouch for the veracity of the primary data sources.” The Lancet takes issues of scientific integrity extremely seriously, and there are many outstanding questions about Surgisphere and the data that were allegedly included in this study. Following guidelines from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), institutional reviews of Surgisphere’s research collaborations are urgently needed.

The retraction notice is published today, June 4, 2020. The article will be updated to reflect this retraction shortly.

And as noted, yesterday, June 3, 2020, the WHO resumed HCQ trials worldwide: https://www.financialexpress.com/lifestyle/health/whos-decision-to-resume-hcq-clinical-trial-a-step-in-right-direction-say-experts/1981320/.

And see below regarding May 27, 2020 article in the American Journal of Epidemiology (by Harvey A. Risch, Yale Professor of the Department of Chronic Disease Epidemiology, Yale School of Public Health):

    https://academic.oup.com/aje/advance-article/doi/10.1093/aje/kwaa093/5847586
Early Outpatient Treatment of Symptomatic, High-Risk Covid-19 Patients that Should be Ramped-Up Immediately as Key to the Pandemic Crisis
    Abstract
More than 1.6 million Americans have been infected with SARS-CoV-2 and >10 times that number carry antibodies to it. High-risk patients presenting with progressing symptomatic disease have only hospitalization treatment with its high mortality. An outpatient treatment that prevents hospitalization is desperately needed. Two candidate medications have been widely discussed: remdesivir, and hydroxychloroquine+azithromycin. Remdesivir has shown mild effectiveness in hospitalized inpatients, but no trials have been registered in outpatients. Hydroxychloroquine+azithromycin has been widely misrepresented in both clinical reports and public media, and outpatient trials results are not expected until September. Early outpatient illness is very different than later hospitalized florid disease and the treatments differ. Evidence about use of hydroxychloroquine alone, or of hydroxychloroquine+azithromycin in inpatients, is irrelevant concerning efficacy of the pair in early high-risk outpatient disease. Five studies, including two controlled clinical trials, have demonstrated significant major outpatient treatment efficacy. Hydroxychloroquine+azithromycin has been used as standard-of-care in more than 300,000 older adults with multicomorbidities, with estimated proportion diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmias attributable to the medications 47/100,000 users, of which estimated mortality is <20%, 9/100,000 users, compared to the 10,000 Americans now dying each week. These medications need to be widely available and promoted immediately for physicians to prescribe.

The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons has also requested permission from Governor Ducey to use HCQ for COVID-19 patients, attaching an 11-page summary of peer review evidence to their letter to the Governor (link to the summary contained in their letter) see below:

We’ll see how long it takes for the MSM to cover THIS as they did instantly and so fanatically when using the bogus study simply to attack PDJT.

This study was finally PROPERLY peer reviewed because of an open letter [linked to below] that was sent to the Lancet by a several PAGES long single-spaced list of MD signatories pointing out their suspicions about the blatant signs of fraud in the study, doing so because they were trying to conduct controlled studies of HCQ and were, I’ve read elsewhere, getting only LOW DOUBLE DIGIT numbers of volunteers because of fear of HCQ brought about by the MSM rants.

MSM Orange Man Bad rants therefore may have resulted in unnecessary DEATHS from COVID-19 which might have been prevented by an HCQ/zinc/??? combination, but they don’t care any more than they do about the riots and the resulting looting, fires, beatings and deaths.

Misinformation is bad. Misinformation in medicine is worse. Misinformation from a prestigious medical journal is the worst. Herein is a detailed look at the controversial Lancet study that resulted in the World Health Organization ending worldwide clinical trials on hydroxychloroquine in order to focus on patented therapeutics.

  47. On the other hand, there are 5 truly scientific studies that show that Hydroxychloroquine is VERY effective in outpatient use.

Glad this was posted. The initial tell was the supposed statistical adjustment they used to control for differing stages of disease. It made no sense. Stats profs started asking questions. But it goes far beyond statistical techniques. After people started asking questions, it became apparent that the database from which this outfit claimed to get patient information was completely fake. Made up. People then started looking into the background of the firm behind the research. Their revenues could in no way fund the kind of database claimed. Three employees of this firm have been identified. One is a science fiction writer, another is an adult model. The whole thing is fabricated. And what is funny is that there are a number of MDs listed as co-authors, from top schools like Harvard. Keep in mind MDs typically have zero stats knowledge and aren’t qualified to review or interpret medical studies like this. They probably signed on solely for political reasons. It’s a complete fiasco. Lancet has a reputation for publishing politicized garbage, but this is the worst in its history by far.

WhuFlu was and continues to be possibly the greatest scam ever. The models were fake. The studies were fake. The projections were fake. But the damage to our economy and liberties were and continue to be real.

All those naughty people having fun at the Ozarks pool party didn’t get sick from WhuFlu. Rioters have been granted waivers by lockdown Governors to not social distance. Yet hair salons, gyms and resturants can’t have people inside. It’s all been one big planned joke, and the joke is on us.

And you have to wear a mask to eat, get a hair cut and get on a treadmill. You have to disinfect each weight you pick up after each use. You are constantly putting that icky gel all over everything for nothing.

Hydroxychloroquine probsbly saved my twin sister’s life! She was headed toward becoming a
statistic of the Chinese Virus, but her doctor said he was willing to try the drug. That (hydroxychloroquine) coupled with mighty praying and her determination to live, gave us her life back! Thank you, President Trump!
