Don’t be worried if your comments are in a holding pattern “awaiting approval”, it’s not you.
As you know for Treeper privacy purposes, at CTH we operate a proprietary commenting system and do not use any tech systems that can open us up to Big Tech instability vectors.
We are currently in a little bit of a battle with the internet mafia, related to our core position on commenting privacy and proprietary control.
It’s a long story that you will eventually hear about as we refuse to concede an inch on user privacy.
Bottom line, if you find your comment “awaiting approval” don’t worry, it will surface after a bit of a delay.
We, in combination with our Rebel Alliance members, are working on a parallel track for a solution short-term and long-term. The internet comment mafia will not win. Our conversation, and user engagement, will always remain secure and private.

Experience moderating a conservative site showed me how that creature rolls, and which master it serves.
I’ve defiantly kept an open profile over the years, and persist in remaining in touch online via that platform, and now that they’ve begun the move to criminalize dissenting speech I’m sure there are a lot of us on their naughty list.
My ability to comment has recently been throttled and I suspect the website admin doesn’t know it.
TGP is having the same issues with Instigator. It is currently down. I hope some America loving tech folks start a business soon so we don’t have to use lefty owned comment systems.

I just wish there was an easier way to find your past comments so you can see the responses.
Before you post you need to hot the little “bell” button to subscribe… when you get a response you will be alerted by email.
Yeah, but you still have to scroll though all the other comments find it if you want to respond to them.

or Find In Page

I agree. At a minimum, it would be nice to be able to sort by most recent comment. The problem with the current comment viewing options is that whoever comments first with something decent, gets all the visibility. While those of us with day jobs, who may not comment until an article has been up for 1/2 day … we will never have our comments seen.
I was thinking the same thing until I clicked on the link provided in the message approval email. It took me straight to the comment that was approved. I’m thinking this approval message is a nice feature as it becomes very easy to find your comment.
I think one way is to make a short cut folder for favorite weblinks, then use the weblink provided shortcut on your comment.
I believe that should take you back to the webpage that has your comment, if not directly to your comment.
If it does not take you directly to your comment, then ctrl+F and search for your ID

The Treehouse has my gratitude for never installing the Disqus malware. Over the past few years, I have stopped reading content on sites that use Disqus. Disqus shadowbans some users and site owners have no real input into Disqus “moderation” of their sites’ commenting, contrary to what many site owners believe.
