Speaker Pelosi Rolls Out Plan-D: “Bribery”…

Plan-A  “collusion” didn’t work, because it never happened; no Americans colluded or conspired with Russia.

Plan-B “obstruction” didn’t work, because it never happened; the FBI and Robert Mueller completed their investigations without impediment.

Plan-C “whistleblower” doesn’t work, because the hearsay claims never happened.  The request to investigate corruption and potential Ukraine interference with the 2016 U.S. election was actually requested by many U.S. officials prior to President Trump.

Today Speaker Poli-Grip Pelosi moves to Plan-D, “bribery”.  See if you can make heads-or-tails of this logic:

ps. Please don’t point out to Pelosi (or Lawfare) that “bribery” as defined under the constitution for impeachment speaks to the President receiving cash or value to take an action for the benefit of a foreign power.  [Pelosi has the entire thing reversed]

If paying for, or threatening to withhold payment of, taxpayer money to a foreign power in order to change their behavior was considered “bribery”; then the entire foreign policy of the United States for the past century was built on bribes.

Think about it….

What was the Obama delivered pallets of cash to Iran for?  An obvious bribe.  Why do we send money to any country?  Why do we give money to NATO or the U.N?  To get them to do something we want… and that, according to Pelosi, is a bribe.

She’s a dingbat.

Please let them push this plan-D.  This is too darned funny

  1. Mike says:

Bribery requires that the offer induces a corrupt/illegal act. Investigating corruption was within Ukraine’s power, required by past treaties, and within President’s authority and responsibility.

The DEMs created the PC culture where appearances matter more than reality; in their mind no republican can benefit from an official act even if they are obligated to do so.

          • Even my dogs think Plan D is a futile effort. But I’m not convinced the Dimwits are really that stupid. I believe their strategy isn’t to impeach Trump. Their entire effort is to dirty him up in hopes Reagan/moderate Democrats and Independents along with ignorant Trump supporters would abandon him. Folks this has been 3 years of major accusations. It’s like newspapers getting caught with fake news…their retraction is on inner column bottom of page 8. Same thing here…the Dimwit accusations are flimsy and false and easily disputed. But the initial headline carries the shock and no one hears about the disputed claims. We are on very dangerous territory…Trump’s re-election isn’t a slam dunk.

That whole video clip sounded planned, canned, staged. I see the media doing their part to set up the next stage, the excuse for continuing, plan D, the next phase of the impeachment hoax. It certainly was not sincere journalism at work. She and Nancy must have coordinated that question beforehand, instead of doing their normal process of leaking with the press.

After watching the Glen Beck video from yesterday, PT’s lawyers are going to have a field day IMO calling and questioning a huge number of potential witnesses connected with Ukraine.

And where it will get interesting IMO is if his attorneys enter into evidence, various documents and communications immediately AFTER these people testify that IMO could absolutely obliterate their testimony.

IMO PT could be laying down a HUGE trap for these people because many of these people that they could call may have also “been around” when the 2014 Ukraine Coup went down and also may have knowledge of American funding flowing to Ukraine.

Did you know that billions are alleged to be still missing?

If Mr. Trump’s past tax returns must be released by order of the SCOTUS, then SCOTUS members and all members of congress will be subject to same. If the IRS and the New York revenue office have not questioned the propriety of Mr. Trump’s past tax returns why would anyone else have a right to examine them now? particularly his political enemies.

Such a poor decision would be turned against thousands of corruptocrats, including Senators, US Reps, Cabinet members, state governors and their underlings, as well as all federal and state JUDGES, attorneys general, police and military personnel … and many more.

If bribery is an impeachable high crime or misdemeanor, then Pelosi should be impeached and expelled from the House of Representatives. She has made a fortune out of collecting bribes (just like the Bidens and so many others have). She must explain why she recently rushed to go to Jordan and Afghanistan, both countries that receive (and have received) substantive financial aid from the USA. The gravy train is running out of “kick-back” lubricant.

Pelosi has lost her marbles, another reason why she should be expelled from the House.
She’s so stoooopid, she believes that her silly explanations are believable. Because she is so corrupt, stoooopid and unconvincing she desperately needs the assistance of Lawfare criminals.

      • Au contraire …

The actual Impeachment Clause was constructed very specifically to proscribe restrictions on the powers of Congress to impeach. The accused must have committed “high crimes and misdemeanors,” but the Constitution goes on to say: “but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law.” There’s your Due Process. (The Constitution never uses four words when three words will do …)

The authors of our Constitution considered “maladministration,” then purposely excluded it. They expressly forbade “bills of attainder” and “the corruption of blood.” They expressly intended for the President to be a co-equal branch of Government, not an Executive who merely served at the pleasure of Congress and who could be removed by them at any time on their own authority and whim.

But, in my view, there remains only one plausible resolution: Trump v. US House of Representatives. This matter must be taken directly before the SCOTUS, where future historians will deem it to be the most important decision that the Court has yet made.

  37. And, nevertheless, “the Judicial Power of the United States – the power to decide cases and controversies – is vested in the Supreme Court, and inferior courts established by Congress.” Nancy Pelosi has no power to decide that bribery, nor any other high crime, has been committed. And, Congress has no power to impeach except for high crimes, for which “the Party convicted [by the Senate] shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law.”

This is the conundrum now faced by the perpetrators: they want to quietly create a bill of attainder which legislatively declares that someone is guilty of a crime, and which punishes him therefor (by impeachment), all without benefit of a trial at which the accused’s fifth and sixth amendment rights are observed. But, the Founders of our Constitution knew this gambit very well and expressly sought to prevent it. They considered and then purposely excluded “maladministration,” which was provided for (and, still is) by English law.

The biggest and most profitable lie that Lawfare has sold to Congress, now for more than three years, is that they are a Court, and that the Law is anything they want it to be, because in the end “the President serves at the pleasure of the Congress.” No, he does not. The President can’t be removed from office because Nancy Pelosi decided he was guilty of something or other.

    re the comment above

“Schiff says he will file ethics charge against any congressmen saying the whistleblower’s name publicly. How could he do that, as he has claimed he doesn’t know the whistleblower’s name!!!!!”

Why don’t Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH) and House Intelligence ranking member Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) do the Bleeding Obvious, say that they want interview an “Eric Ciaramella” as part of the hearing as they “believe – having heard by second, third and fourth hand sources”., he may have some “Hearsay” with respect to the Impeachment Hearings

If as Shifty Schiff says he does not know who the Whistleblower is, how could he object to “Eric Ciaramella”appearing as a witness

As GOP lawmakers repeatedly pointed out that Taylor and Kent had not spoken with Trump or with Giuliani, making it difficult for the officials to know their motivations. In some cases, argued Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, Taylor and Kent appeared to be relying on information obtained from second, third and even fourth-hand sources.

“We’ve got six people having four conversations in one sentence,” Jordan exclaimed.
