    • I can’t say for sure what her game is, but Tulsi is definitely attracting a LOT of attention for someone who is a very marginal candidate. I honestly think she is positioning herself to be a VP candidate and is going to sell herself as being endearing to some conservatives who may not be crazy about Trump. Typically, VPs don’t have a lot of pull either way when people vote. They vote for the top of the ticket for the most part. I don’t think it will matter, but I do see this as a way for her to get more national recognition and be a viable candidate for 2024. She is very young.

    • Reading through the comments on that thread, there are a lot of people attacking her. I am assuming many of them are bought and paid for bots. The ones that are applauding her though are all Republicans, begging her to #walkway. I don’t see that happening. She is definitely a liberal Democrat. But like I said before, she is setting herself apart from the loonies:

Always wearing white in a sea of noise
      Keeps her composure
Challenges her opponents in ways no other Democrat would do
Ingratiates herself to conservatives by appearing on Fox News
      Challenges social media censorship
      Challenges the neocons
Brings her military background to the forefront
      Is smart and articulate
She is beautiful and she knows it
      She is YOUNG

She may have something here. Not sure she could ever get the nomination, but she is trying to be the Anti-Trump. Trump won, in large part, because he was different, fearless, wasn’t afraid to take on those that everyone said couldn’t be taken on. She is playing from the Trump book. I honestly think she has zero chance of getting the nomination, but she may be playing the long game. There is a space somewhere for someone like this. There are many people the Dems are losing because of their antics, and she is the type of person who could win some of them back. Enough to win a the nomination? No way. But watch for her in the future.

Then the two of them battle. Hillary wins and the picks Tulsi as VP.

Interesting points to consider for those obsessed with cow farts:
The current US dairy and beef herd combined has grown to 41 million head of cattle.

The North American Bison herd, through 1800, was in excess of 60+ million. So, the greenies are now also claiming a cow fart is more potent than a bison fart.

For that matter, they claim a cow fart exceeds the potency of a dinosaur fart.

This has kept me up for days just pondering how the Earth has survived.

      • RetiredEE says:

Methane is a so-called green house gas as it does absorb IR strongly but only in narrow bands. As such it is a very minor player in the IR absorption. An interesting article in WUWT shows the analysis of the methane properties as it affects the earth energy balance. Some important points from the article:

        · Methane (chemical symbol CH4) is claimed to be a potent greenhouse gas, an idea based on its estimated effect compared to CO2. However, this is highly uncertain and can vary from 21 to 84 or more times greater than CO2, depending on the methods used for estimation. These high multiples derive mainly from a strong level of infrared absorption in the IR bandwidth of methane and a hypothetically lengthy persistence of many years in the atmosphere, due to a low rate of sequestration in natural sinks compared to CO2.

        · What is conveniently ignored is that the IR absorption spectrum of methane is limited to two quite narrow bands. Although CO2 is a weaker absorber of IR, it has a much wider bandwidth of absorption and is about 200 times more concentrated in the atmosphere than methane. Also, due to constant turbulent mixing in the atmosphere, it makes little difference to temperature if absorption of particular amounts and wavelengths of backradiated IR occurs in a few centimetres or over a few meters. In either instance, a similar amount of heat energy is being mixed into the lower atmosphere.

        · Even more importantly, the IR absorption spectrum of methane is overlapped by that of water vapor, which has a hugely broader IR absorption spectrum. It is also on average about 10,000 to 20,000 times more abundant in the atmosphere than is methane. No matter how little or how much methane is in the atmosphere, all the IR in its absorption spectrum is still going to be absorbed, if not by methane, then by water vapor. More methane adds nothing to the effect on temperature.

The methane production in the bovine digestive track is caused by bacteria processing the plant cellulose as is done by termites which seem to produce much more methane than the bovine population. Interesting area but does not support the contention by the communist environmentalists.
        More detail in the article:

          • RetiredEE says:

For your friend…I read a paper on human “gas” production where they ..uhh.. plugged the subjects up with a hose that collected the gaseous products produced and both timed it and did a spectrograph analysis of the resulting “constituent gas components” over a period of time. There was no indication in the paper that they looked at the input materials (beans and sauerkraut come to mind) but they had a significant amount of data on frequency of expulsion and chemical properties of said effluent. Researchers have fume hoods for dangerous gases just so you know. The paper did not state how much the participants were compensated for the scientific study but I would hope it was “reasonable”. It would require a not insignificant contribution to my bank account to be a volunteer on that one.

As to bovine subjects, I have not seen the methodology they employ if in fact they have done field work. I’m sure the cows would not want to discuss compensation levels particularly unless it tasted REALLY good. I have seen many globul warming studies that give their results as something like: “from our research the planet is burning up and we are all doomed. We built a computer model and found our hypothesis to be true within the computer to 16 decimal places so it has to be true. Send more money for our research so we can build more computer models (with 32 decimal precision!) to show that we only have 12 years left”.

It is quite obvious that globul warming is caused by computer models since the thermometers don’t seem to follow the same (correct) laws of physics used in the computer. Never fear, the computers can adjust the data to make it right. Most of the researchers don’t like to venture out into the dirty ugly world to actually make measurements. Air conditioned offices are much more comfortable.

I like to put it this way. If you put a drop of bleach in your backyard swimming pool, would it affect the water quality of your pool? That’s about the affect of the CO2 and methane we put in the atmosphere. There is no way these gases are the major drivers of our climate.
Oh and as I always like to point out. The earth is not a greenhouse.

They can say that because she barely used the State Department’s secure server system and didn’t mishandle “classified information” within the confines of that system. That report can’t cover her private server because they never had access to it. That’s where all the deliberate posting of classified information was made available to the Chinese and probably the Russians as well. The must think we’re all country bumpkins!

And Guiliani was running around hanging out with shady Russians and Turks. Exactly the same type of activities that led to Manafort and Flynn getting indicted. He may as well have been wearing a “please open a counter intelligence investigation on me” T-shirt.

Way too many coincidences for me. The day the Dems actually vote impeachment is the beginning of the end for them. One weird and out of place line in the phone transcript of the call with the President of Ukraine opens that entire line of inquiry about Crowdstrike as a legitimate avenue of inquiry for impeachment defense. Almost like he knew that this particular conversation would be a component of a future impeachment attack. Personally don’t think Crowdstrike has anything to do with Ukraine but it was just included specifically so anything Crowdstrike is a potential subpoena issue in a future impeachment case involving that phone call.

Plus I get the strong feeling everybody Guiliani has been in contact with for the last year or so has been closely monitored and surveilled (legally). As we saw with Carter Page a smart person who knows he is under surveillance can be devastatingly effective at neutralizing the bad guy’s plans.

Either Team Trump has been caught extremely flat footed and have been doing incredibly dumb things (like hanging out with shady characters despite 3 years of public history showing these types are under constant surveillance) or this really is a case of 3D chess. Taking a step back and watching the faces and actions of the main participants I am fully convinced that despite the prevailing media narrative it is pretty clear who is really on defense right now (and it ain’t team Trump). We’ve known for over a year that the Dems were planning to impeach. There is no way this is a surprise for Team Trump.
