    • “Pardon me, but isn’t this just fighting Fire with Fire?”

Generations ago, very-effective civil rights protesters (such as MLK) carefully taught the lesson of “peaceful resistance.” Even though they were faced with opponents who had shotguns, fire-hoses, and even nooses, they never used their opponents’ weapons against themselves. Perhaps we need to re-remember this.

Above all: Do not let your opponent dictate the terms of engagement!

Reading the comments re: flavors. I’ve heard of e-cigarets only because they ask me in airports if I have them in my purse. Never actually seen one. The word “vaping” is completely new to me, though.
I don’t smoke and haven’t ever done drugs so pardon my ignorance. I learned something new today, which is always good.

That said, I think adults have the right to kill themselves any way they prefer, stick any device in their orifices if they feel like it, and otherwise enjoy something I personally don’t — without me or the government telling them what to do or not to do with their bodies, their time and their money. As long as they harm only themselves and not others, I am totally cool with it. The only thing I am NOT cool with is my tax money used for rehabilitation. Be that opioid addiction or AIDS, please pay out of you own damn pocket or use charitable donations (my wishful thinking and totally unpopular opinion).

I don’t want more regulations and bans and less freedom. We already live in a police state where one can go to jail for using a plastic straw (but not for storing classified info on an unauthorized secret server or destroying subpoenaed emails, hard drives and cellphones, obviously).

The Left is skirting the legislative process in going after guns. They’ve mobilized their corporate minions. Brilliant move, I must say, subcontracting out the messy process of subverting a Constitutional right. Republicans are terrified of corporations. Who’s going to stop the largest service-oriented corporations from strangling gun manufacturers and the attendant industry? President Trump has shown absolutely no interest in taking on Big Tech over the gnawing away of our First Amendment. Will the 2nd be any different?

That’s pretty cool… but, TBH, maybe a case of over-engineering? That looks like one complex bit a machinery.

Here’d be my Cocktail Napkin Solution. Two sets of tires. Wheels on the outside, tracks on the inside. Or a single, wide track a la Skidoo. To switch to track mode, simple hydraulics lifts the tires exposing the tracks. Of course, you need to work out the clearance issues (for which there are practical limits anyway with any vehicle).

Or… OR… Two sets of tracks, one each in the back and front, independently controllable.

  22. It seems to fallen down the democrat media’s memory hole, but there are hours and hours of video showing the moronic Occupy Wall St. mobsters assaulting the police and innocent citizens, pooping outdoors, trespassing, harassing people, vandalizing, causing property damage, spewing abject economic balderdash, committing lewd public acts and engaging in other gross anti-social behavior. These imbeciles were also responsible for several arsons and a few rapes.

Lizzie Warren is also on video claiming to be the “intellectual inspiration” for these criminals.

Can you imagine the GOP campaign commercials next year should this harridan get the democrat nomination?

    I certainly can!

    Bring it on Lizzie!

    • Still waiting for the Democratic Party, Inc. to offer me any(!) credible candidate which might actually be worthy of even my very-briefest consideration as a voter. So far, they have offered nothing.

If there’s anything at all that we should have learned from the Donald Trump presidency, it is simply that any candidate for Chief Executive Officer(!) must be … qualified. No, this is not a post that can be left in the hands of “mere politicians.” (Who, as we have seen, generally do not have a cucking flue …)

When the American people were actually presented with a “CEO Candidate” who actually knew – from experience – what “being a CEO” actually meant, and when this candidate subsequently began to apply this experience … well, “the rest really is ‘history!'” American History.

“Sorry, Democrats.” Unless you can actually “get with the program,” you’re out of the game. Because: the game changed, and you didn’t.

They send this memo a week before Trump takes office. Then 3 days after Trump is sworn-in, GCHQ’s director resigns his post without notice. Sounds like the intel community in Britain was rushing to CYA.

National Security Adviser Sir Mark Lyall Grant — who chaired the recruitment process — said “Fleming emerged from a strong and competitive field as the outstanding candidate to become the next Director, GCHQ.”

Jeremy Fleming has been Deputy Director General of MI5 since 2013. He will succeed Robert Hannigan, who announced unexpectedly in January his decision to step down once a successor was in place. Jeremy Fleming has taken up his post today (April 7 2017).

Revealed: British Intel Sent Memo Warning US Officials about Steele’s Credibility Before Mueller Probe
by Jim Hoft May 29, 2019

A new report by John Solomon at The Hill revealed that prior to President Trump’s Inauguration in January 2017 Britain’s top security official sent the Trump Transition team a memo that the British government lacked confidence in Christopher Steele’s junk dossier.

According to Rep. Mark Meadows there is now overwhelming evidence to suggest the FBI was warned on several occasions that the the Steele dossier was not credible. Yet the FBI continued to use the dossier as evidence to spy on the Trump campaign and administration.

This is interesting considering the British intelligence was targeting Trump before the election.

President Trump tweeted about British intelligence helping the Obama administration spy on Trump.

John Solomon at The Hill reported:

Multiple witnesses have told Congress that, a week before Trump’s inauguration in January 2017, Britain’s top national security official sent a private communique to the incoming administration, addressing his country’s participation in the counterintelligence probe into the now-debunked Trump-Russia election collusion.

Most significantly, then-British national security adviser Sir Mark Lyall Grant claimed in the memo, hand-delivered to incoming U.S. national security adviser Mike Flynn’s team, that the British government lacked confidence in the credibility of former MI6 spy Christopher Steele’s Russia collusion evidence, according to congressional investigators who interviewed witnesses familiar with the memo.
